The business was a cash cow. Telstra would send tens of thousands of dollars every month, yrs after our rel’ship to the customer had faded to nothing. Most ppl would buy a phone and we’d never see them again but Telstra kept sending us 3% of the value of their monthly phone bill.

@telstra the worst service of any provider, the most expensive of any provider. Recharge with prepaid and they don't recharge after you've paid then you can't find anyone to do anything because they are just call centre staff. Barley any English and no managers will take calls.

@Telstra Nothing unique about this one you wouldn't already hit a million times a month (13 million, even). And your form asks if it originated on the Telstra network -- there's no way for a consumer to know which network the call came from!

@PSyvret The customer service of Qantas, Telstra and CBA is now abysmal. The pain point is high enough that customers are leaving and willing to try other options. It will be very hard to win them back. Each market is primed for the new disruptor to come in and take their place.

@PSyvret Telstra has always been awful but I take your point. Add the Commonwealth Employment Service, TAFE. All gutted so private companies can make a profit.

@telstra We cancelled my mother-in-law's (98, dementia) account in May. You continue to direct debit monthly. She has now died. Despite many requests, you continue to charge. What does it take for you to cancel and repay charges?
