Telstra would send tens of thousands of dollars every month, yrs after our rel’ship to the customer had faded to nothing. Most ppl would buy a phone and we’d never see them again but Telstra kept sending us 3% of the value of their monthly phone bill.

Candour (@Candour100) reported@blu_boys @Optus Boost is by bar the cheapest as you get the full Telstra network. Belong gives you the majority and that serves my girl right as the only considerations would be travelling to remote areas.

While the rest of the world was investing in ADSL, cable, fibre and other technologies to keep pace with the rapidly evolving internet, Telstra seemed remarkably content with the old model and the outrageous margins it could extract from telephone calls. Eventually, the writing was on the wall and technology forced the issue. Had Telstra remained a complacent, publicly managed monopoly, there’s every chance we’d still be listening to the soothing tones of a dial-up modem while waiting for a webpage to load. You have a lot to learn... son!
