    The business was a cash cow. Telstra would send tens of thousands of dollars every month, yrs after our rel’ship to the customer had faded to nothing. Most ppl would buy a phone and we’d never see them again but Telstra kept sending us 3% of the value of their monthly phone bill.

    Just had a terrifying time went into Telstra to solve a problem with my iPad went home only to discover they turned my phone off !

    🔴 PayphoneGo: 19-year-old built Pokemon Go for Australia's 14,000 payphones Kris Norris, a Brisbane student, launched PayphoneGo in April. Players call a number from payphones across Australia, enter a nine-digit ID, and accumulate points—20 for first visit, 10 for second, then 5 and 1. First visitors can leave voicemails heard by subsequent callers. Norris said the game aims to encourage exploration and revive "old internet: no ads, no tracking, so few cookies." Telstra operates the payphones under Australia's universal service guarantee. Calls have been free since mid-2021. The company reports over 100 million calls since fees were scrapped, with usage tripling.

    Will have to admit that calling the telstra workers **** did actually solve my issue and got the ball moving to fix the issue. Something oldschool foreign outsourced support would take serious and send in the big man to solve it. No I think if you tried that they'd extradite you to the others land to be put down.

    @the_LoungeFly @Telstra You have to go through the ombudsman to get an Australian staff member, someone with access to your records apparently or can fix anything. The call centers are just to keep you preoccupied long enough that you get sick of it and go away.

    So i get a notice from Telstra my bill is going up due to increased data use, i have a cap of 1000gb that i never go over, i hink thats a bit unfair!!!

    before i switched to a provider on telstra wholesale i’d be en route to work on a call like sorry if comms go down lads i am approaching the site™ (westgarth).

    UPDATE: Dodo contacted me and transferred the Telstra number manually. Said it could take two working days. Several hours later my Telstra SIM is now dead and the new Dodo SIM doesn't work. The website just shows "Order in progress". And now it's Friday night.

    @Telstra you absolutely suck. Both my kids are overseas (18 and 20) and one is out of data and I can’t add more for both. I’ve been talking to Telstra for 8 hours and still no outcome. My daughter has no data left: Telstra suggested we get a 3rd party ESIM. The Worst Telco EVER.

    @ajbott @Telstra Population growth has overwhelmed the Telstra towers in lots of areas I am told, congestion causing a lot of the problems. I have been told towers are being upgraded over last 2 weeks but I imagine it is a slow process.
