  @nat_ofoibles Oh wow, that’s how I felt calling this guy during the week, lucky he already knew, had reported it to Telstra, but they still hadn’t done anything. He was receiving half a dozen calls a day from ppl like me, asking why he’d called & hung up - poor guy😬😔

  @OneNewsAu This is not new news, they have been trialing sms over starlink using Optus and Telstra OWNED spectrum for several years and its at least live fir SMS on Telstra. As soon as Starship is cleared for normal operations they can launch the larger v3 satellites which will support this function fully. The spectrum spacex purchased is not compatible with current phones regardless, and would require manufacturers to adopt that band for use so its not close to being usable nor launched.

  @the_LoungeFly @Telstra 1/2 I'm guessing there's an issue with privacy My messagebank was switched off without my consent When I called to get it switched back on the operator changed my plan I called asking for it to be reinstated (it was an obsolete plan) and spent a week arguing with a 'manager'...

  @ronInBendigo @RaymondKeown3 The Belong (Telstra) plan is $25 only once you have activated a service with them it will appear when you go to change plans via their app. 10GB data per month with rollover, if you ever exceed it, it doesn't charge extra just slows to 1Mbps.

  @OliverHolst01 @Starlink My telstra internet is 80bucks a month. Has never increased unless I do it myself. It actually has gonendown over time as I dont use so much internet and so my limit is lower than most I think

  @MrsS2023 After suffering with the Telstra internet service in the north of SA I recently swapped over to Starlink best thing I’ve ever done over 12 times faster speed at nearly half the price👍it used to take nearly 5 minutes to watch a 1:5 minute horse race replay with Telstra stop start

  Australia’s mobile market: 3 brands, 1 real network outside the cities. @Telstra inherited the infrastructure, kept the spectrum, and now dominates regional coverage. If the government won’t mandate roaming, we’ll never have genuine competition.

  I read an article suggesting that @Starlink could come to Australia as a phone service. Oh, I hope it's real. Telstra utterly sucks, has massive blackspots everywhere, is ludicrously expensive, and has terrible customer service. Optus & Vodafone are worse. We need competition.
