    @Telstra We have tried. @Telstra referred us to our provider, TPG, who in turn have referred us to the NBN. It’s been 5 days as we still have no service.

    @nat_ofoibles Oh wow, that’s how I felt calling this guy during the week, lucky he already knew, had reported it to Telstra, but they still hadn’t done anything. He was receiving half a dozen calls a day from ppl like me, asking why he’d called & hung up - poor guy😬😔

    @Telstra Understood. However, as @telstra disconnected our service instead of our vacating neighbours, I would hope they could assist in rectifying the issue and reconnecting us.

    UPDATE (4.05pm): Overnight, Telstra made good progress, significantly reducing failed calls to Triple Zero. Telstra has now implemented a solution that has addressed the impact of this issue and continuing to work through further changes. (1/2)

    @PaulBongiorno Ours went out again at around 8am until about 3pm today. No message from Telstra. When I finally contacted Telstra at around 1pm, they said it was a planned outage. But then agreed it was same as Tues debacle. If it WAS planned they should have notified us. Just a smokescreen.

    Not sure how free travel gonna help. But asking only Telstra to step up is escaping the accountability. It's upto the Transport Vic to have a system that doesn't have single point of failure. It's a bigger design failure in transport and Telecom.

    If the updates are external from a supplier, are the updates checked by Telstra before being installed and spread across the system/network?

    interesting how i was with telstra during the 2 optus outages and now im with optus there was a telstra outage

    @OsherFeldman Long winded explanation for a deliberate silly thing to do, 000 is a number you use in an emergency situation, all available lines of communication should remain open. It’s not a play thing, Sarah should have just contacted Telstra to confirm the issue if that was important.

    BREAKING: South Australian police are investigating a death at a regional hospital after Senator Kerrynne Liddle claimed that an elderly resident died following ‘an apparent failure to connect to Triple Zero’ during yesterday’s nationwide Telstra outage. After attending her office, police have made contact with the family of an individual who died at a regional hospital. SA Police says it was not notified of the death but now has ‘immediately commenced’ an investigation into the cause and circumstances.

    Just saw on SkyNews the where Amanda Rishworth as ‘stand in’ - communication minister blaming the previous Morrison Government for the Telstra outage? Really? How long has this government been in???? 4 years!!!!!! Im thinking Anika Wells should come home & ‘hold the hose’.

    Looks like with three recent Telstra outages, and the apparent network weaknesses, China wouldn’t even have to fire a rifle in order to knock Australia out.
