@nat_ofoibles Oh wow, that’s how I felt calling this guy during the week, lucky he already knew, had reported it to Telstra, but they still hadn’t done anything. He was receiving half a dozen calls a day from ppl like me, asking why he’d called & hung up - poor guy😬😔

  • AnimusSpirits
Animus Distillery (@AnimusSpirits) reported from Kyneton, Victoria

@Telstra We have tried. @Telstra referred us to our provider, TPG, who in turn have referred us to the NBN. It’s been 5 days as we still have no service.

@Telstra Understood. However, as @telstra disconnected our service instead of our vacating neighbours, I would hope they could assist in rectifying the issue and reconnecting us.

Bold strategy, Senator ********. While actual emergencies might have been choking on a Telstra outage, you decided the best use of Triple Zero was your personal QA testing. “Not going to apologise”? Of course not. Why say sorry for clogging up the line that’s supposed to save lives when you can just cosplay as a concerned citizen and virtue-signal about “holding them to account”? #auspol

@posiedon1971 @Starlink @AlboMP Not at all. It solves a massive problem for rural Australia and allows our other carriers to focus on policies areas. Telstra actually a reseller i believe

We’ve had Starlink for about two years now with zero problems. Consistently hitting 300–400 Mbps, with dozens of devices connected at once. We were with Telstra for years — landline, internet, and mobiles — but it got so expensive and unreliable that we switched. Best decision we ever made!

@QBCCIntegrity @Telstra The national emergency alert system is due for testing- I’m sure it’s just a coincidence

@aboutasteph Services say they are overwhelmed with demand. The leaving violence payment is ran by Telstra 1800 respect isn’t emergency funding. So it can take up to a month to get. They still require a lot of documentation that women don’t necessarily have when leaving. I would think a DVO is all that’s required with maybe a drivers license. A court has already deemed the dv occurred. Should suffice for any program.

@normboy562 It is not her fault that Telstra went down. It is not her fault that Optus went down a couple of years ago. It is her fault that she has done **** all in the years between those two outages to solve the problem of 000.

old copper network needed upgrading sure though I don’t ever remember not being able to make a triple zero call hard to fathom Telstra did/does not have built in redundancies for network failures #telstraoutage

@Blazer55 @TheKennyDevine @AnikaWells Wells came immediately back from holiday and made contact with Telstra. She gave an extensive press conference on the issue. Get your fact right. Henderson is an idiot and should be charged for making nuisance calls.

  • TigerAncient
    Ancient Tiger (@TigerAncient) reported

@7_columns @Andrew_McCallum If you listened to her, the government mandated after the Optus issue, that with emergencies, the people using the network that is down, should be switched to a working network. She said she wanted to test that her phone went to Optus if Telstra didn’t work. It didn’t, and that is important.

Leaks from Telstra: '... caused by a software bug linked to the network’s timekeeping systems in Sydney and Melbourne after a firmware update went wrong.
