The Telstra logo on the 50 looks so bad, really doesn’t need the blue background

  • rocky1622 Brian Humphries (@rocky1622) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@peters_malcolm He sold everything Telstra and let gas go for nothing and stupid media call him good treasurer which bull ****

  • VeteranDave Thanks for coming (@VeteranDave) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Asking for @telstra help from my Twitter friends. I wasted 3 hours with their help service on Friday. Cannot view Kayo footy because download speed is too slow. Recent occurrences. My question. HTF do you get someone to come to your house and fix it? Is that still possible? 😡

  • sthmel Tony Margaritis (@sthmel) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Telstra Quinn, it’s New Year’s Eve, cut me some slack, you are asking me to go to some other get help chat section? For what? I’ve done my bit. I am notifying Telstra that Brighton has practically no data, deal with it, we pay premium prices for this crap. HNY 🎇

  • GlennHampson Glenn Hampson 🐢 (@GlennHampson) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@PieNorthern Not a bad patch I had a mate who lived and worked up there for Telstra as a linie and he stayed there for decades.

  • _TimMcMahon Tim McMahon (@_TimMcMahon) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Telstra 4G backup speed is 0.16 Mbps (down) in the Smart Modem. 💀 6.32 Mbps (down) when I use a SIM card from another telco in the modem. 🧐 Smart Modem with 4G backup is so slowwwww 🐌 @Telstra

  • jamesphumphreys James (@jamesphumphreys) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@NBN_Australia @Telstra what does one have to do to get something fixed? 6 weeks of back and forth and nobody can sort the problem. Surely this can't be too hard.

  • _TimMcMahon Tim McMahon (@_TimMcMahon) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

6.32 Mbps down and 15.3 Mbps up when I use a SIM card for a different telco in my Smart Modem. Telstra 4G backup SIM card is too slow. 0.16 Mbps. Dialup speeds. 😱

  • sthmel Tony Margaritis (@sthmel) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Telstra There are over 15-20 Telstra phones here and everyone having the same issues, just send someone to the phone tower and unplug and plug back in, it needs a reboot, trust me, I’m a limo driver.

  • _TimMcMahon Tim McMahon (@_TimMcMahon) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

4G backup is a joke. 0.16 Mbps down and 0.55 Mbps up. HFC is a joke. Don't tell me infrastructure is failing during summer because it's 27C and 20-30 year old equipment is dying. 💀 Paying a premium for this. 😬 @Telstra

  • TizmWorld Tizm™ (@TizmWorld) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Telstra I walk into a store to buy a phone today and I was told you won't accept my money until at least the first to second week of April. As a customer for over 10 years, this is the worst service ever.

  • _TimMcMahon Tim McMahon (@_TimMcMahon) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@vertikar @NBN_Australia @Telstra The irony in Telstra workers having Optus and Vodafone services for continuity just in case nbn and Telstra mobile go down. 😬

  • sthmel Tony Margaritis (@sthmel) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Telstra Arrrrrrgggg…… I’m like getting **** all data to sustain a chat, just get the boys to reboot the modem and router at the tower please.

  • nicksplitter Nick Splitter (@nicksplitter) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

. @Telstra best person to help me move my service to new address? Website is shocking and chat support center closed on Sunday.

  • stirlospace 𝚜𝚝𝚒𝚛𝚕𝚘.𝚜𝚙𝚊𝚌e (@stirlospace) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@cameronwilson Also v handy for checking “does X network actually provide service where I’m at /. Work or live?” Without having to sign a contract or >1 month typically. Where I’m at in aus Telstra and Vodafone seem to be the best combo, Optus just does NOT work. At all, YMMV etc

  • _TimMcMahon Tim McMahon (@_TimMcMahon) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@vertikar @NBN_Australia @Telstra Yeah, 4G. No 5G coverage in this part of Melbourne. I wish I didn't have to use a SIM from another telco to get 20+ Mbps. Telstra 4G backup is about 0.16 Mbps down with a Smart Modem. We just tether phones during work hours for video calls or sharing would be too slow.

  • _TimMcMahon Tim McMahon (@_TimMcMahon) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@vertikar @NBN_Australia @Telstra I received an SMS later to expect 4 days of no internet. 💀 I've got a backup service running at full speed through another telco. Best not to put all our eggs in one basket if nbn HFC and Telstra mobile are both unusable while WFH. 🥵 Fortunate that there's overlapping coverage.

  • _TimMcMahon Tim McMahon (@_TimMcMahon) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

    @NBN_Australia @Telstra Ended up being a <12 hour outage instead of 4 days. 🥳

  • Niksterisms Nikki Clare (@Niksterisms) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Hey Tweeps, is anyone who has the iPhone 14 Pro having issues with the phone taking forever to load things when it’s on wifi? Is it a 5G drama or is this just a Telstra thing?

  • DevaDev21 DevaDev (@DevaDev21) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Telstra Hope you can help - viktor. DM'ed as suggested. Help with fixing the network issue or help with port out of telstra.

Telstra Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • chris_paul86 Christopher Paul (@chris_paul86) reported

@andrewjhansen Don't worry, You can have the same problems without daylight savings. Almost every year @Telstra decide to completely screw up the change for Queenslanders and change the time on our phones despite them literally just needing to do nothing.

  • detispify tj (@detispify) reported

Jesus @telstra, your online reps are crap. I’ve had an account issue active since 2019 and it’s taken me about 30 minutes to even have one of your level zero agents to even review my account. Absolutely shyte.

  • rashad_rebuilt RashadInOz-2020 (@rashad_rebuilt) reported

Hey @optus just a well-deserved "Thank you" for great customer service getting a wifi modem organised and working. That's fresh from 5 hours on chat with @Telstra trying to get a simple problem resolved.. Yep. *trying*. Still broken.

  • megsbury Megan (@megsbury) reported

@Telstra I’m in 4035. The website isn’t indicating any outages but as you can see the speeds are pretty terrible.

  • jen_browning Jen Browning (@jen_browning) reported

@Telstra At another cost though. We shouldn’t have to pay upwards of 1000$ to have service and feel safe. We deserve same coverage as metropolitan customers.

  • ZLflamm zam lflamm (@ZLflamm) reported

    @Telstra **** you, dumb *** company.

  • Isometimeswish Peter Bradford (@Isometimeswish) reported

Hey @telstra you called yesterday to tell me my very late NBN connection would be made today. Still waiting. Then you told me my backup sim in my modem would be data loaded within 2 hours. Still waiting 7 hours later. A real dearth of service. Should have gone elsewhere #poor

  • mccartm1 Michael McCarthy ✳️✳️ (@mccartm1) reported

@IpseDixitCicero Well, we’re with Telstra, so I just select from their catalogue the one with the strongest signal. We upgrade every few years. Sorry I can’t be more helpful.

  • Aitch_El Overlizard (@Aitch_El) reported

@della79 Yup. I’m not that far from Bendigo (relatively speaking). Best 4G I get is 2 bars (and it’s my ONLY internet). While driving towards Melbourne, Telstra signal regularly drops out completely.

  • matthewpfeffer Matt Pfeffer (@matthewpfeffer) reported

@Telstra Blue. Seems to be on 4G. I should point out my folks who live 3 streets away are currently having the same issue. Same with neighbours down the road. Seems to be whole area.
