... Most government departments fail to comply with the most basic cybersecurity protocols. This is about Dutton and his PR team boosting his stakes. Is another Libspill in the offing? Fabulous, as it is, to have a Telstra boss in charge of anything to do with security.

@Telstra @jimmyrees My gut feeling says this is because it was costing more to pay the guy to go round emptying the coins from them. Than was actually being collected. But regardless I'm sure this will help se people out

@progressiveagri Bommy, Cel-fi paired with a decent aerial is about your only option, however I find that I still struggle with a Cel-fi, purely due to the disaster that is @Telstra phone service in rural and regional areas. Disappointing that we require “add ons” just to make a phone call.

@Telstra Yes, of COURSE they have. The form is broken and doesn't work when both a first and last name change. They've been through *weeks* of calls, chats and emails with you. It's absurd. Imagine if they had to do this with every institution!

@vinylsol Ask them to phone their complaint in- give them the ABC or Telstra’s complaints number. They’ll never get that signal.

@LSDNinja @DavidHRobb You log in with your existing Telstra account and it works. Their NBN modems form part of that network as well.

The difference between @Telstra and @Optus … my home internet was down for over 4 days during a lockdown and I had to basically follow up every time myself to see if it would be fixed.. $5 credit. Optus, service is a bit slower than normal, here is $21 credit and a sorry.

@Nette8Two Haha yes! I think the Telstra guy they interviewed today did actually call in from a phone box as well as lots of random members of the public, including a bloke in down town Campania and Mark from Bellerive, and the lines sounded really clear!

@PerfectStormo @DavidHRobb Telstra turned a bunch of theirs in to wifi access points, but I’m not 100% clear on how that service works.

@ABCaustralia @Jansant @abcnews This would have been handy when my old suburb rarely had landline phones working and there was no mobile service. It was a 20 minute trip to the Telstra payphone and hope it both hadn't been vandalized and you had enough coins to make calls.
