@abcnews and other media outlets discovering just how totally shit @Telstra's mobile data network is in North East Victoria. Designed for 2,300 but with 20,000 regularly trying to use it. Won't improve it without govt handout.

@KathSwinbourne @deniseshrivell Telstra teach consumer types, income demographics, segments and opportunity to upsell. Where I work now ask us to greet the customer, help them find what they need and make sure they leave with their issue sorted, either by us or another business in town. Quite different.

@Telstra No I was not. Only told that there’s an outage in the area that should have been resolved by now but isn’t. They also said I needed to wait until the internet is back up to request compensation for the days without it.

@AlexBallhausen 1/2 Well you can guarantee that there is no lack of service between Sydney Canberra & Melbourne. THAT'S the routes the pollies take. We had to spend $1800 on a retrans system to get our mobiles to work in the house paddock. The closest Telstra tower is in a hole, LITERALLY

Hey @optus just a well-deserved "Thank you" for great customer service getting a wifi modem organised and working. That's fresh from 5 hours on chat with @Telstra trying to get a simple problem resolved.. Yep. *trying*. Still broken.

@Telstra Unacceptable. The app isn't installed and all correspondence for the account is via SMS and email Honest question: why does all Telstra cystomer support have to be conducted through the office of the telecoms ombudsman?

@MyRepublicAU your internet service is a mess. It is continually dropping out. The router indicates there is a service to the internet, but no internet service. Your online help is also a joke. Sort out your service, or hello @Telstra

@Telstra Our whole community has had raised this issue. I’ve lived here for almost six years and in spite of promises it has only gotten worse. Telstra is better than the other providers.

@Telstra , you're stupid current ad that states "hey Google" in its script really stuffs around android televisions. Not the smartest advertising or marketing ! They play the brief version possibly 3-4 times per ad break of NRL Fox.

@Telstra Okay, well considering this has been the 5th outage in the last month with the same response each time, I’ll definitely be considering switching to a network that is more reliable. Please do let me know when things are working again.

@Telstra @Vaughan13Greg There’s been a noted 4G performance reduction when cells are upgraded to include 5G. Can you tell us more about this issue. It disproportionately affects rural areas.
