Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Myrtleford and nearby locations:

  • BruceHore 💧How Good is the Alpine Valley (@BruceHore) reported from Porepunkah, State of Victoria

@abcnews and other media outlets discovering just how totally shit @Telstra's mobile data network is in North East Victoria. Designed for 2,300 but with 20,000 regularly trying to use it. Won't improve it without govt handout.

  • BruceHore Hand Sanitising the Antifa Valley (@BruceHore) reported from Porepunkah, State of Victoria

@KathSwinbourne @deniseshrivell Telstra teach consumer types, income demographics, segments and opportunity to upsell. Where I work now ask us to greet the customer, help them find what they need and make sure they leave with their issue sorted, either by us or another business in town. Quite different.

@bekscilla I'm trying very hard to see this as 'Telstra will help people whose phone batteries have run out while they're away from home' instead of 'ah, in other words Telstra can no longer be arsed to maintain their public phones so they'll die out one by one' o_0

  • amberhague Amber May (@amberhague) reported

@ABCaustralia @Jansant @abcnews This would have been handy when my old suburb rarely had landline phones working and there was no mobile service. It was a 20 minute trip to the Telstra payphone and hope it both hadn't been vandalized and you had enough coins to make calls.

  • Nowun6 💧Nowun🐀 (@Nowun6) reported

@jrisles @CaseyBriggs I only went with them because of an old Foxtel cable into my house and at the time I was on ADSL that was very slow and getting slower. There was no NBN in my area yet. I could get really fast internet via cable, but only through Telstra. It worked well until lightning strike.

  • wyvernsrose Wyverns Rose (@wyvernsrose) reported

@troolyroolyk @abcnews I don't have a problem with that these devices are also the infrastructure for telstra air.

  • roodave David Caldwell (@roodave) reported

@Browne90 @RDNS_TAI @Telstra An important detail is the SLA associated with this. Having a telephone box versus having a reliably available phone are different things. The last two times my Mum has needed one they've been vandalised/ broken. Not of merchantable quality anyway, perhaps they are for $0!

  • Combat_Hawk 🌈🏔Colin Ellis 🎱🏳️‍🌈 Get Vaccinated Now (@Combat_Hawk) reported

@Geofftheplumber @RichardYabsley With AZ. I am 60. Still alive and kicking. @Telstra is more likely to kill me than a vaccine give its current zero customer service.

  • NFPublication Kish ⛓No Consent=No Contract ⚖️ (@NFPublication) reported

Ep0chTimes: Telstra public pay phones now free; Granny hater HO terrorising school kids; $300 bribery for poison bandied; J@ck bought popular Aussie service ‘Afterpay’; 2,500 Qantas employees lose their jobs.. (wonder why so few are travelling.. 🤦🏻)

  • PeteMcGuig Petermc (@PeteMcGuig) reported

@andy_penn Telstra aren’t here to help anyone but themselves. Potentially the best loved corporate in Australia yet you are annoying all your customers. Have a wee rethink please.

  • gleep23 gleep (@gleep23) reported

@AnthCondon @Telstra It probably cost them more to collect coins and keep these safe-like devices in service.

  • NaffStuff River Everdeen (@NaffStuff) reported

@Telstra Oh please🙄I know how it works~divide mthly service fees by days of no service. It’s roughly $2-3 dollars but you don’t factor in days not accessing homeschooling, emotional support, business needs ~the phone call to say you are **** costs more than the token gesture reimbursement
