    @Telstra This tweet brought to you by me piggy backing off my Optus phones fully functional mobile network data. Eftpos machines are unable to do this. So any work around has to come from Telstra or I have to get the bank to change to Optus.

    @Telstra Well we are still down, despite multiple resets. The modem doesn’t even switch over to 4G it just sits there with a green light on as if it’s all ok. Yet not working. Can’t even open the troubleshooting pages or gateway.

    If telstra can pay this woman Mullins every year . Then surely they can stress test their system to the point where they don't bring down the communications system across Australia .

    @DancingDanB If the reports that Telstra insisted on exclusivity and there was no ability to have a backup with a different carrier are true, blaming the Victorian government or any entity involved in operating the network is wrong.

    @JohnnyLydon 6 million was what was agreed by shareholders. Thats less worse than the taxpayers funding it and having about 46,000 more people on the payroll than today. Telstra was an absolute drain on the taxpayer. It was a big fat lazy public service like the SEC like the Unis

    @Nolongerscot @madwixxy @BarbaraHFlowers Well it sort of is an emergency if it’s not going through & the Minister in charge was rushing back from holidays.I mean let’s apportion blame to the relevant minister here & Telstra who wanted exclusivity. At least we now know we need a back up,as it affected a lot of industries as well as 000. So quite a potentially dangerous situation & thanks for the spelling correction.Silly me.

    @SaraJade_13 An apology isn’t enough there should be some accountability for this behaviour. The SA police said today her reporting of the death could have been linked to the Telstra outage had “put an unnecessary strain” on the woman’s family.

    @JenHogben @senatorpennyqld No worries, would of been terrible for people on Indue's Re-badged Cashless Card when Telstra crashed other day as you can't make purchases as EFTPOS don't work without Telstra connection at least it was fixed by lunch a few yrs ago in Kununurra it wasdown for 24hrs
