Jason King (@Klyde77) reported from Picton, New South WalesWhat disgraceful service @Telstra. Been in new house for more than 2 weeks. Only 4 days of NBN working. Told they would be here on Saturday between 8am and 12pm. Waited all day and then called Telstra to be told NBN will be back on Wednesday. Disgraceful.
Telstra Issues Reports
Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:
-
Victor (@vvviictor) reported@BoxnDiceExp Maybe, but generally speaking @Telstra has been going downhill for a while now. Adding a few millions of new users in a short period of time probably did not help.
-
Shane (@boostar83) reported@toddvs35 It all went wrong when the Telstra outage hit and the bunker became two men in a truck outside the ground
-
Daniel (@VoteLewko) reported@alijzimmerman When you ring 000 you initially hear a recorded announcement and provided you hang up, testing it on this basis should be harmless. The issue here is that Telstra has supposedly been logging all the failed calls and then initiating a welfare check back to those numbers.
-
Orstraya (@orstraya) reported@HaveeSnowball I've never understood why so many people willingly pay through the nose for Telstra.
-
Senator Paul Scarr (@senatorscarr) reportedI spoke with Trudy McIntosh on Sky News this afternoon about the telecommunications outage affecting Telstra. I've heard from Queensland small businesses and residents concerned about the disruption and the government's response. Most alarming are reports of difficulties accessing Triple Zero. Australians deserve answers.
-
Dale Janssen (@DaleJansse77267) reported@timritchie Ah, @timritchie it was Keating who de-regulated the telecoms market, introducing competition and effectively paving the way to sell Telstra. In 2002, Keating publicly stated his support for the sale of Telstra. It was always his intent.
-
🇦🇺Libbey🇦🇺 (@Yebbil13) reported@Sandy_Beech1 @MLHuitt @theheraldsun Australian law criminalizes non-emergency 000 calls with penalties up to 3 years imprisonment, yet Henderson refuses to apologize, claiming no breach occurred; Telstra noted some failed emergency calls and urged against testing. She absolutely DID break the law.
-
BeerStud (@stud_beer) reportedLet this Telstra outage be the wake-up call. If you still think handing our entire lives over to a digital-only future is smart, you’re not paying attention.
-
Aaron Eugol (@a_eugol) reported@pantherman45 @mitcheels1 I'd forgotten that the Telstra issue had caused a change. In my defence the decision was so bad, you'd swear he made it.

R M Mackenzie 🌏 (@RMMackenzie1) reportedSo PMG broken up and we end up with Telstra which is eventually sold and we get Triple 0 outages, privatisation works so well said no one but those who benefited.
