Telstra Issues Reports Near Queanbeyan, State of New South Wales

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Queanbeyan and nearby locations:
  • GGL_Drew Andrew Christian (@GGL_Drew) reported from Queanbeyan, State of New South Wales

Just spoke with family in Tuross Heads. Tuross is unaffected apart from smoke. Connectivity available on the Telstra network (but not optus). Power just turned on at 2am this morning. Water is on and working. #SouthCoastFires #BushfireEmergency #tuross

  • refjess Jess the Referee (@refjess) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@NJGalea @Optus I had so many problems with them when I signed up. Never again. I'll take my chances with the clowns at Telstra rather than this mob again.

  • ClarkGreenaway Clark Greenaway🇦🇺 (@ClarkGreenaway) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@BawdenSnoek I don't mind, sometimes I hang on until I get a real person after such calls about Telstra or NBN. Then I call them thieves and liars until they hang up.

  • garydlum Gaz 🖖 (@garydlum) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@benny_132 @horrorfan4129 @Telstra Thanks. I've been waiting on hold. I will hang up and get on with my day. I feel sorry for people relying on #nbn for their livelihood when these things happen.

  • impactcomics Impact Comics (@impactcomics) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

Hey all. Our phone and internet are down. We are definitely open, but can't take calls or read emails right now. Shout out to @telstra who assure us they are on it.

  • TravGee1980 Travis (@TravGee1980) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@Telstra I would love to but the App won't let me in and changing the password does not help...

  • samguthrie91 Sam Guthrie (@samguthrie91) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

Days since a serious national outage on the @Telstra network: 0

  • Henjam48 💧 The Banality of Evil (@Henjam48) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@emmeneeez #qanda started me off, and now I have many online friends. Also I have gotten better customer service and results by tweeting directly at some Companies. Telstra and Behringer to name just 2. Also What @picklessprakel said.

  • TravGee1980 Travis (@TravGee1980) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

.@HankJongen @Telstra uses this technology. I have made 19 calls to them since August 2018 about reconnecting our work landline and cancelling #NBN They have a record of 3. This is not about improving customer service. It's about compliance & surveillance. #Auspol #Satanlink

  • Technorants Technorants (@Technorants) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@NBN_Australia @naomi_t_81 Honestly after you add up all the work required to retrofit the last 1000m of old Telstra phone cabling and fixing issues with customer cabling it becomes much more expensive than the original project scope of fibre to 93% without the constant maintenance bill #nbn

  • Mirandaprorsus Allan Behm (@Mirandaprorsus) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@mjrowland68 @BreakfastNews Have endured weeks of very slow NBN speed, < 6 Mbps. The techo came, opened the Telstra pit to find 60 yr old copper encased in lead, and broken wires. So much for Tinkering Turnbull’s fibre to the node.

  • ClarkGreenaway Clark Greenaway🇦🇺 (@ClarkGreenaway) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@Tank9999 @macsween_prue @billshortenmp Outsourcing is not privatizing. Privatizing is selling the responsibility off as in CommBank, QANTAS, Telstra etc. Paying someone to provide a service is outsourcing, the government is still responsible and sets the rules. No expensive public service.

  • KBGoodness 🥃 KB 🥃🎮🍜 (@KBGoodness) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@Haydztweets @Jacko_GFreak @Telstra @Optus @iiNet Well no, some POIs have a higher capacity then others and it comes down to if they can actually support the speeds. If you're on a POI that is at almost capacity then the chances of getting higher speeds are limited, which is why people hit that 7pm slowdown.

  • blakewilson Blake Wilson (@blakewilson) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@Telstra @KaiCantwell This is such a great example of process creating barriers to great customer service. @Telstra, we can fix this. Disrupt yourself before someone does it for you.

  • jsam_1967 Juliane Samara NP (@jsam_1967) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

Huge fail to @JBHiFi for neglecting to tell customers that their #samsunggalaxywatch only works on @Telstra network. Saleseman even asked who current mobile provider is and discussed plan and admitted @VodafoneAU better deal, still didn’t think to inform the watch would not work.

  • mikal Michael Still (@mikal) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@renailemay @Telstra The noise floor is really high at Telstra tower because of all the broadcasting there, and your phone is probably trying to cope with too loud a signal.

  • Steve_Pesic steve_outandabout (@Steve_Pesic) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@Telstra it is bad that I have to answer 32 questions for a fault for my pensioner mum before I get to the operator.

  • craighind Craig Hind (@craighind) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@MarkATipping And on Wednesday Telstra had an Internet connectivity outage on ESXi cloud systems too. As Australia’s supposed premier telco this really isn’t acceptable.

  • Ian__P Ian (@Ian__P) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

Running up a $3k per month home internet bill is quite possible on a standard @Telstra mobile plan, at $69 for 50 g and $10/g for 250 g or so excess. But you'd have to be stupid and not give a shit because you're not paying for it. #auspol

  • AussieWriters Suzanne Kiraly (@AussieWriters) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@Telstra I am not calling anyone. Your help desk scheduled it and I have been trying to call the help desk back on 133933 but gave up after 60 minutes.

  • Technorants Technorants (@Technorants) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@Kynes3 @kity_katz Sad isn't it... seriously Telstra could have built out its own VDSL2 network last decade but decided "nah she'll be right" who's going to compete with us?

  • hollymareemua HOLLY MAREE MUA (@hollymareemua) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@Telstra My house in franklin act I’ve had to get a prepaid Optus mobile because I have cancer and the reception isn’t great Any more incase I need help in the day while no ones home. When I moved here I had the best reception out of all my family

  • hollymareemua HOLLY MAREE MUA (@hollymareemua) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@Telstra @TheAusBallet How about you work on your reception that’s gone down hill

Hey @Telstra. My pre-paid plan activation is pending for 10 days now. Any help with this would be appreciated.

  • scotto_au Scott Owen (@scotto_au) reported

@MissFitz72 @Telstra Some things never seem to change. I raised a fault, they claim I need an appointment, then get a msg saying no appointment required and they’ll be in touch “soon”. So far nothing...

  • MarkPotten Mark Potten (@MarkPotten) reported

@telstra yet another day wasted whilst waiting for your engineers to fix what ever your other engineers have done to disconnect our phone and internet services. Phone is now working but no internet.

  • Tessyy_x T R (@Tessyy_x) reported

@Telstra It says there’s an outage in my area and it won’t get fixed until 31st of jan but it’s been working fine today

  • wurzelofoz Chris Jones 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 (@wurzelofoz) reported

@DeanRosario @mattycougar I was very sceptical of the OPTUS deal with the football, however.. ....now I've swapped over, I'm very impressed. For less money than I was spending with Telstra, I get better service, faster speeds + the football.

  • caskey7 Dc (@caskey7) reported

@Telstra I’m in Carrara and it’s been down since yesterday morning. No wifi, no Foxtel, no Netflix. My wife at home with our newborn is really enjoying the outage

  • MissFitz72 Tracey Fitzpatrick (@MissFitz72) reported

@scotto_au @Telstra Hardly use it but no phone line either since 18 Jan. In for the same standard of service as last year by the looks of things. 😕

  • ldrtwo2 LDR2 (@ldrtwo2) reported

To Telstra I had the worst experience from your technical support team from the Philippines who could not rectify a problem that has occurred only your service to me.Your technical support staff were no help at all to me why do you waste money on overseas people to solve problems

  • SonYaHughes SønYa Hughes (@SonYaHughes) reported

@Telstra Telstra is not even answering their phones for faults. You need to shift your support centres back to Australia so support can understand the infrastructure here. Terrible service - third world at the best.

  • Pknottoon प्रदीप बागड़ी (@Pknottoon) reported

@rohini_sgh @VodafoneIN @airtelindia All depends, who owns the infra of the lines/towers in a area. SIM service is just like retails business. VODAFONE is crap in Australia as the lines are mostly owned by Telstra.
