Dear @Telstra I would like to say a big thank you to the staff member who rang my 91 yr old Dad and 89 yr old Mum and informed them they would be turning off their service Re them not understanding the NBN. This is unacceptable contact me thanks

  • ianpmcleod
Ian McLeod (@ianpmcleod) reported from Canberra, ACT

@DONTCHIPMEBRO @NorelleFeehan @Telstra No, but promoting paramount tinfoil hat conspiracy theories does suggest someone is an idiot.

  • JNdeira
Jason Ndeira (@JNdeira) reported from Canberra, ACT

@gavin_laing That would be great if the streaming service was valuable. The inability to cast the game eg Chromecast means I still don't use the free "streaming service" I have with @Telstra

  • e_Wasp
eWasp (@e_Wasp) reported from Canberra, ACT

Telstra technical issue! We are currently experiencing an issue with message bank on the Hotline number, we are working with Telstra to resolve the issue. Thank you for your patience. The eWasp Team CoreEnviro Solutions

Lethany Bincoln ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ (@kindatiredfwiw) reported from Canberra, ACT

@The_WarHen @Telstra No worries, it was an easy fix for a very dumb problem. Basically the sim i ordered that never arrived automatically activated, booting my sim into non-workable order.

  • KBGoodness
🥃 KB 🥃🎮🍜 (@KBGoodness) reported from Canberra, ACT

@Haydztweets @Jacko_GFreak @Telstra @Optus @iiNet Well no, some POIs have a higher capacity then others and it comes down to if they can actually support the speeds. If you're on a POI that is at almost capacity then the chances of getting higher speeds are limited, which is why people hit that 7pm slowdown.

  • ianpmcleod
Ian McLeod (@ianpmcleod) reported from Canberra, ACT

@AUSBATTERYGRAD1 @FindlowHarrison @Telstra Then if the higher frequency is the issue yet terrahertz radiation is not, then please explain where "peak harm" is on the EM spectrum? At what point does harm start declining? Past 100, 200, 300THz or what? You're trained in this, you're concerned about 5G so you tell us.

  • ianpmcleod
Ian McLeod (@ianpmcleod) reported from Canberra, ACT

@DONTCHIPMEBRO @scottjlawson @Telstra No there's not. There is a precedent of bullshit spreading via ridiculous conspiracy theories because people still cannot grasp that they are not the centre of a vast, chaotic universe and no one gives a ****. Conspiracies are narcissistic neurosis manifested.

  • impactcomics
Impact Comics (@impactcomics) reported from Canberra, ACT

Hey all. Our phone and internet are down. We are definitely open, but can't take calls or read emails right now. Shout out to @telstra who assure us they are on it.

  • Ian__P
Ian (@Ian__P) reported from Canberra, ACT

@marcuskelson @Telstra Don't direct debit with Telstra. Their billing system is shit. As is their willingness to admit and address problems. Better still don't do business with them - it's a lot easier.

  • MartinAnne139
Annie Martin AM (@MartinAnne139) reported from Canberra, ACT

Spoke with Kate @Telstra who has provided the best service then transferred finally to another team and everything went downhill. I just want my elderly parents phone to work. Don’t message me as my blood pressure is through the roof @Telstra

  • ClarkGreenaway
Clark Greenaway🇦🇺 (@ClarkGreenaway) reported from Canberra, ACT

@Tank9999 @macsween_prue @billshortenmp Outsourcing is not privatizing. Privatizing is selling the responsibility off as in CommBank, QANTAS, Telstra etc. Paying someone to provide a service is outsourcing, the government is still responsible and sets the rules. No expensive public service.

  • Lindday8
Lindsay (@Lindday8) reported from Canberra, ACT

@Telstra NBN speed slow and dropping out in Flynn act is there issue

  • ianpmcleod
Ian McLeod (@ianpmcleod) reported from Canberra, ACT

@DONTCHIPMEBRO @scottjlawson @Telstra I have volunteered myself for two human trials which have been swamped, I will be so happy if I am selected. Polio was real and horrible and this conspiracy self centred narcissistic bullshit is now hurting people. Vaccines save lives. The universe is chaotic. Move on.

  • michaeljames947
Mike Hutchinson (@michaeljames947) reported from Canberra, ACT

@phbarratt Surely Thodey, fresh from his successful stint at Telstra produced a masterful report on reforming the public service- only to have it rejected by @ScottMorrisonMP. No doubt he has now learned how to please him....

  • ClarkGreenaway
Clark Greenaway🇦🇺 (@ClarkGreenaway) reported from Canberra, ACT

@BawdenSnoek I don't mind, sometimes I hang on until I get a real person after such calls about Telstra or NBN. Then I call them thieves and liars until they hang up.

  • booth_alison
Alison Booth (@booth_alison) reported from Canberra, ACT

@Telstra The service has now been miraculously restored… at last.

  • bridgettilley
Bridget Tilley (@bridgettilley) reported from Canberra, ACT

Hi @Telstra I just received a robo call telling me my internet will be disconnected today to fix a problem ( I don’t have a problem). I’m an @iiNet customer with @NBN_Australia in Belconnen area Canberra. Could you pls advise ?

  • Ian__P
Ian (@Ian__P) reported from Canberra, ACT

@MarkusMannheim No. In fact I think @telstra has deliberately let it run down hoping that the @actgovernment will be gullible enough to throw money at it.

I’m not defending the gov, but it’s not always the gov fault when a gov funded service fails. This is primarily on Telstra (a privatised, formerly government service).

  • Snuffle16106950
    Snuffles 🌸 (@Snuffle16106950) reported

@andrewrdn463 @SkyNewsAust Should never being privatised Telstra or any Utilties providing the people a service..... Same applies to Public Transport.....

  • controlreversal
    freedom86 (@controlreversal) reported

@madwixxy **** off you stupid ****. Your anger should be towards Telstra firing Australian workers you ****. As for her refusal to apologise good on her. Albo doesn't apologise for his repeated lies so why should she?

  • Democracy_Duck
    Anonymous Democracy (@Democracy_Duck) reported

@TruthdriverOn Seriously this is the fault of privatisation.. Telstra when privatizing promised that no services would be affected and that triple Zero would be a priority.. Telstra earns billions and they can't provide the one service we need LNP sold Telstra so it's their fault

  • Totally4yeah
    Mr.MojoRisn (@Totally4yeah) reported

@MikeShe11208366 @PaulBongiorno The Libs helped privatise Telstra decades ago — true. But Albanese’s Labor government has been in power since 2022 and still contracts Telstra to run Triple Zero, the federal emergency call service. That’s why ACMA and the Triple Zero Custodian are investigating right now, and why Labor can fine them up to $30 million. This isn’t ancient history or “Libs blame-shifting.” It’s a 2026 software bug under Labor’s watch that wrecked 600+ Triple Zero calls, halted V/Line trains, triggered hundreds of welfare checks, and may have killed someone. Your “hypocritical” line is pure deflection. Stop excusing your government’s failure to enforce oversight on critical infrastructure. Classic Labor puppet cop-out.

  • LeFossile55
    The Fossil (@LeFossile55) reported

@MikeCarlton01 @Telstra Oh but they certainly did do something. They ******* slashed their workforce. Some essential services should never be corporatised & then privatised.

  • jfwfreo
    Jonathan Wilson (@jfwfreo) reported

@DancingDanB If the reports that Telstra insisted on exclusivity and there was no ability to have a backup with a different carrier are true, blaming the Victorian government or any entity involved in operating the network is wrong.

  • TheWoof_Grrr
    Ded Putin (@TheWoof_Grrr) reported

@L_AWalker Why dont you see the Telstra outage ages a failure of governance?

  • inandaway
Lights On The Hill (@inandaway) reported

@mackaysuzie “Brady said that for a 1100-kilometre cable connecting Syd, Melb, Canberra Telstra needed to issue: *3000 land access activity notices *1700 land access surveys *1100 construction certificate notices *171 cultural heritage and environmental surveys”

  • aussiewongm
    Marcus Wong (@aussiewongm) reported

@hutcho66 @MiddleMoney @Anneeokeefe I believe the issue this time around was that Telstra started sending out incorrect datetime info across their network, and railway systems took that data onboard and fell over horribly.
