Tim McMahon (@_TimMcMahon) reported from Slaty Creek, Victoria@acmadotgov I'd raise a complaint about HFC being unreliable these days but Telstra gave me a modem with 4G backup so that I don't notice. Nice workaround for nbn taking over old HFC infrastructure...

Tim (@BattleSideTim) reported@Nolongerscot @madwixxy @BarbaraHFlowers Well it sort of is an emergency if it’s not going through & the Minister in charge was rushing back from holidays.I mean let’s apportion blame to the relevant minister here & Telstra who wanted exclusivity. At least we now know we need a back up,as it affected a lot of industries as well as 000. So quite a potentially dangerous situation & thanks for the spelling correction.Silly me.

7NEWS Adelaide (@7NewsAdelaide) reportedThe Telstra outage had nothing to do with the death of a woman on the state’s south coast – that is the finding of a police investigation into claims made by a South Australian senator. The police commissioner has given Kerrynne Liddle a spectacular smackdown for posting the allegation on social media in the first place. @laurenrose7

William Hawk (@WilliamOneHawk) reported@SkyNewsAust Ah…yes…another load of Sky News drivel - as even the half-wit Senator Kerrynne Liddle has now apologised for posting a falsehood on social media attributing a death of an individual in South Australia to the Telstra outage.

Christine Milne AO (@ChristineMilne) reportedDid anyone ask Barnaby Joyce about mega Telstra outage and lack of connectivity in rural and regional Australia? He delivered the sale to Howard, never forget! #auspol
-
Jillberry Sunshine (@jillian_twigger) reported@daytona7th @tim_blee Lol yes good thinking, and we keep a ‘burner sim’ at our food truck in case Telstra goes down, but then sometimes it’s the actual till system that goes down ie ‘Square’ and then it’s ’offline payments’ which doesn’t work for tapping with phones anyway

Tim (@BattleSideTim) reported@Igh0108 The Telstra outage is on her watch. The Minister is ultimately responsible but you like her & that’s nice.

david bennett (@Davidus_Rex) reportedTelstra admits its entire network has a single point of failure, a 20yo time server connected to GPS. It failed, taking out thousands of customers, business, railways, etc. Imagine that on a global scale, triggered by one single satellite collision. Just waiting to happen.

Harrar Longberry (@HarrarLongberry) reported@ChristineMilne As long as he can blame Telstra on his wife not being able to contact him, the man is dark down drunk happy
