Telstra Issues Reports Near Tahmoor, State of New South Wales

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Tahmoor and nearby locations:

  • fictillius Evan (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@AUSFestivus @Telstra I had to take my mobile to Vodafone a few weeks ago because of Telstra congestion issues in the CBD. I’m trying to give them a chance here because the NBN with them has been great with no peak congestion for 3 years until last week. But Vodafone NBN is looking good right now.

  • fictillius Evan (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@NewtonMark @shaneoneill @Aussie_BB @Telstra I fired up an Aussie BB service at my parents new house just last week in 20 mins, after iiNet failed spectacularly at transferring their service from their old address. Did a Vodafone one on the weekend too and was online in an hour.

  • camo1977 Cam Stewart (@camo1977) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Telstra I’m in Sydney at the Telstra shop on George street looking to buy another iPad Pro. However the system is down. #nohelp #ironic #confidencegone #isitthathard

  • manapouriman Michael (@manapouriman) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Dont wear orange when the power goes down in the area. Or you’ll have a angry mob come after you. Im Telstra! Go easy on me

  • fictillius Evan (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Telstra It’s FTTP. The Gen 2 modem has been rebooted. The tests have been run. All that’s happened is an NBN tech has been booked who is going to look at the NTD and say it’s fine. Fibre doesn’t develop an issue for certain hours of the day.

  • fictillius Evan (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Telstra There are no service disruptions. There is sudden and severe congestion of an evening.

  • fictillius Evan (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Telstra The first tech support person last week said the congestion would be fixed within 24hours. 4 days later the internet is barely useable during peak times. There’s clearly inadequate CVC or an issue on your network and waiting for an NBN tech before doing anything is waste of time

  • EBoultonSmith Emily Boulton Smith ebssportsphysio (@EBoultonSmith) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Telstra Makes no difference! Even when I have full strength 4G signal it says the signal is too weak. Wasn’t an issue last season but hasn’t worn all 2019 season

  • fictillius Evan (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Telstra 4Mbps is nowhere near the “typical evening speeds” for your 100/40 plan. There is nothing wrong with my network. There is nothing wrong with the NTD. There is nothing wrong with the router. It’s either inadequate CVC or your network past the POI.

  • fictillius Evan (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@0dayssincemeltd In contract so just waiting for them to acknowledge it’s broken so I can leave with no fee. Complaint in with Telstra and now the TIO. All Telstra are doing is sending an NBN tech to look at my NTD

  • fictillius Evan (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Telstra Sorry but this is on the 2LIV POI and I have someone on the 2STL POI showing the same type of congestion behaviour start on the same date. Either CVC has been reduced or you have an issue on your network somewhere.

  • camo1977 Cam Stewart (@camo1977) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Telstra No point your chat team can’t help. No point. Been a customer for 15 odd years great way to treat loyal customers . #crapservice

  • fictillius Evan (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Telstra Last night I could barley load my online uni course when speeds got down to 4Mbps. In fact it will probably be faster if i disconnect the NBN and use the 4G backup of an evening.

  • MichaelNarraco3 Michael Narracott1 (@MichaelNarraco3) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

I read in the Washington post the USA is considering changing their life line number to 988 I have been trying to get ours changed to 888 Telstra has no problems with it can any one recall the stupid one we have now,I have even tried nurses they can't.

  • shawol83 Kyuhyun's Wife (@shawol83) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Telstra Lol they didnt even give m that just offered me a call back nothing else ....i love how customer service is so helpful

  • fictillius Evan (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Telstra No reference numbers but I have now made a complaint. There’s clearly something wrong with your network but tech support just want to blame my network or the NBN and want to waste time getting and NBN tech to look at a Fibre NTD that works fine except for peak hour.

  • fictillius Evan (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Telstra By then I’ll have moved to another ISP if this nightly congestion continues. I won’t be paying any cancellation fees either. I know it’s not your fault on the Twitter team but there is something wrong with your network and no one will acknowledge it.

  • shawol83 Kyuhyun's Wife (@shawol83) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

I would like to make complaints about the attitude of your staff @Telstra the ineffective way of solving customer complaints not all of us have time to go to the telstra shop what a crappy solution ur consumer service have

  • fictillius Evan (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Telstra That’s correct, the last few nights it’s been terrible. I’m on FTTP and been with Telstra for almost 3 years and have never seen any evening congestion before.

  • fictillius Evan (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@chrisrauchle @Telstra But Telstra still want to charge me an exit fee because the issue is “under investigation” so exit fees are “valid” but they won’t give me a timeframe for resolution. Just ask me to do more speed tests

  • BagofHamsters UrGrooveIdoDeeplyDig (@BagofHamsters) reported

@RonniSalt @Telstra Oh dump Telstra, the customer service team are abusive, just keep you occupied until you give up and go away. Ombudsman is no help. I got ptsd just thinking about contacting Telstra. Moved over to #Aussiebroadband excellent people at @Aussie_BB

  • LexPlans Lex: Currently forging a doomed lighthouse (@LexPlans) reported

Anyone in Melbourne CBD having @Telstra issues? I have no internet

  • cjsz90 Kstov (@cjsz90) reported

@Telstra Issue still not fixed. No one can tell me what the situation is other than both Telstra and NBN handballing the problem back to each other. It's now 14 days since my initial report re: damaged overhead lines. This is completely unacceptable.

  • malccoe Malcolm Coe (@malccoe) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Telstra how **** us your service

  • tezzr44 Tezzr44 (@tezzr44) reported

@RonniSalt @Lynismyname56 @Telstra Complain to the Ombudsman and let them know it’s the only way to get meaningful action must be in their KPIs to keep those level complaints down. Got a whole month free when internet was down for 3 days while I’m trying to run my consultancy from hime. Their robotic AI sucks

  • Hipcatprintery Lawrence Finn (@Hipcatprintery) reported

@Telstra TIO was quite surprised they haven’t called too. The complaint number is 2020/12/10944. They issued a refund but never called and so the issues were never dealt with at all. Kind of a mistake when the resolutions are so simple.

  • Hipcatprintery Lawrence Finn (@Hipcatprintery) reported

@Telstra as usual your staff are good but your systems waste customer time and simple queries take hours to fix instead of minutes. You need service standards, you need to reward customers when you waste their time. We need nationalisation of telstra as it’s vital infrastructure

  • Hipcatprintery Lawrence Finn (@Hipcatprintery) reported

@Telstra That would be good. It’s a simple fix for both issues and it would be nice to sort it out. It just requires someone call me... sigh!

  • MrsCee27 Nixev (@MrsCee27) reported

@Telstra So instead of a no charge data free service, you’re directing us to a paid service with data costs. Just how is that a great deal for your customers as you’re trying to sell it as ?

  • carbon_nada Carbon Nada (@carbon_nada) reported

@Telstra Hi Jessica, no we have heard nothing and each time we contact Telstra we are given a new job number, so we are starting all over again even though it is the same problem. A new modem was sent to us which we installed and it did nothing.
