@inkiebeard Surely their plan was purely to help their mates at Telstra. I cannot fathom any other reason they could be so stupid.

@andy_penn You asked for it. Karma init. 5g is more important than customer service i guess. Telstra only cares about govt, corporate and enterprise customers. We are treated as dogsh#te and low class. Andy u call 132200 and try speak to someone. THERE IS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

@anthony45052793 @TheNakedFarmers @MichaelAckland3 It took Telstra 5 years to fix junction box out the front. Only took 2 years to come and pick up all the asbestos pieces. The landline is placed about 10 cm under the ground. We found it when levelling the drive. 6 weeks without internet when NBN was extended.

@TheNakedFarmers @MichaelAckland3 They will prioritize sending a technician out if you have a person living there with health issues. Also, ring the ombudsman for telecommunications, lodge a complaint. Telstra has to respond to them within a certain time frame.

@Telstra I appreciate the offer but my repeated experience of dealing with @Telstra online is poor, I'll never do this again. At least shaking my fist at @andy_penn makes me feel good, even if it doesn't achieve anything ✊

@Telstra The HFC speed has returned to normal. But, the 4G backup, when required due to a HFC outage, is so poor as to be borderline useless. For reference, a 4G mobile phone held alongside the Smart Modem Gen 2 modem in 4G backup mode achieved 30Mbps vs 0.3Mbps (respectively).
