    @DavePhippen After 8 calls totalling 12 hours to NBN co and Telstra I found the magic key: Just say "Ombudsman" Service person arrived the next day and a new modem the same week.

    @DavidLeyonhjelm @georgios197 @DanielPriestley Luck... and both the timely full privatisation of Telstra, and the complete offloading of Australian gold reserves (nearly tanking our, and world markets in the process). Howard only balanced the books by selling off a LOT of stuff that ended up creating problems later on.

    🚨 Telstra, TPG telecom clash with Musk’s SpaceX over Starlink spectrum guarantee Australian telecom giants Telstra and TPG Telecom are urging the government to hold competitive auctions for satellite-mobile frequencies instead of granting SpaceX guaranteed priority access for Starlink’s Direct-to-Cell service. They warn that such guarantees risk market concentration and could lead to higher consumer prices.     @kai_h @algorithmsayshi Tried this, it has us located in Sydney for some reason. While the modem was updating the DNS it restarted and my phone connected back to our old Telstra net which had us accurately located in Victoria. Def AGL/eero issue from troubleshooting

    @econoadabsurdam @LeeRespecter The NBN might plausibly have increased productivity if it had retained its original scope (A FTTN fibre backbone network independent of Telstra that would allow telecommunication companies to compete on an equal footing). Instead it got rolled out first in Tasmania.

    Hey @Telstra it's ever so slightly stupid that when in the chat in your own app I try to enter the IMEI of my device as asked for by your consultant... that the app blocks me from sending it to them. I get that you're trying to protect my information... but this is just stupid!

    @AlanBixter Ahh yes, the joys of having every Telstra support person go through the same failed script (re-start modem, check cables, blah, blah...) & then sending a new modem - which still doesn't fix the problem 😡. I have quite the collection now.

    @markbouris John Howard a failed PM that lost his own seat. Sold off Telstra to the people that already owned it at a time when we needed to upgrade to optic fibre network. Tried to introduce Workchoices to destroy wage increases. Sold off gas on 30 year contract . Neg gearing and CGT ..
