enz (@enz2g) reported@joey8bitz @1WeakGuttedDog Holy **** you’re dumb. Boost is a budget provider, they are never going to give you the same PRIORITY as you’d get with Telstra otherwise the people that pay twice the amount would be getting the same service No one with boost is expecting the same speeds and priority

Cdbrown (@BrowntownBrew) reported@ThinktankTaylor @Starlink As to the free market - considering there was no actual competition against Telstra there was no free market. Telstra just sat and exploited the fixed line and used the money to push their mobile network and restrict competition

BLUE (@BLUE04699289) reported@KymRob25112 No idea in Qld. But in Sydney Telstra has sadly become the only option. The complete mess up with triple zero calls ( carrier errors) no mistake in that. The tower's aren't coping with this change. Regional with fewer options. That's harsh. Hope 🙏

Peter Dewar (@PeterD84508) reported@TheNoisyTrunk @Caitlen2310 @arbsmichael At a time when the network needed to be upgraded to optic fibre Howard sold off Telstra to the people that already owned it. The cost to build the NBN should also be included in Howard's debts .

TaxFodder (@Coldhardface) reported@belinduhpyne There was little left to sell after Hawke and Keating sold federal and state assets in their Privatisation rampage. Key assets sold under the Hawke government included: The Commonwealth Bank of Australia Qantas Telstra CSL These sales were part of a broader strategy that also involved floating the Australian dollar, deregulating financial markets, and dismantling the tariff system. While critics argued this abandoned traditional Labor values and contributed to issues like increased household debt, supporters view these reforms as essential modernizations that 'strengthened' the Australian economy. We're real strong now eh?

Colin Ritchie (@ColinCleanEnery) reported@sydney_ev Actually it has been failing across remote Australia for decades. Telstra has unreliable network coverage as the middle of Australia can not have enough sunshine for their solar for days.

Hamish (@reach_hamish) reported@GusLefty @arbsmichael And privatising Telstra to safeguard superannuation is a problem why? PLUS, he did election on the GST as a reform he wanted to inttroduce in 1998. The GST never happening was a 96 promise. But 98 he did say it would.
