@Telstra you have failed the Barraba community once again. No explanation of the cause of the loss of vital communications in our town or an accurate time of service restoration. Get you act together.

@Telstra It would appear the mobile tower at Barraba has a fault. I've lost all service since about 6:30pm.

In other news, we're preparing to move into a new office. In an area owned by Telstra Velocity. And the most they could offer (despite there being FTTP installed) is 80Mbps down and 5Mbps up. In 2021. I bought an @Optus 5G modem and... it's astoundingly good.

@LS_IA_AD @MissMambaM There's no solution to identity theft - if someone wants it badly enough, it will be taken - ironically, in Australia, often from companies to whom we have given the data or from government directly. Take, for instance Telstra - our largest IT provider. It ran its call servers

@joshgnosis Telecom back in the 90s had a plan for a nationally owned fibre to the premises broadband network where every Australian citizen would own an equity stake. This was before Telstra privatisation. Would be interesting to FOI those plans and compare to existing NBN.

@NBN_Australia The provider is Telstra and they have issued a letter saying either disconnect and get refund or just continue to pay for a service you can’t deliver given they are 91 and need the connection guess how Feel about those options

@Telstra heres to the disgraceful F grade on line service. Over 2 hours on your message app for a simple plan change.... even then it was not completed. Off shore is one thing no skills in what you is another story. Pathetic

Had a pretty awful night but glad to know that two days ago, my phone contract ended, which means I can be able to change my Telstra plan to something cheaper and better. Seriously, who pays $79/month for 20GB? Maybe back in 2019 but still.

WARNING New @Telstra scam Man calls and tells you Telstra has detected that people are using your internet connection & it's not secure. Then tries to extract information so that he can 'fix' it. I asked him for the full name and a/c number of the account holder & he hung up.

Points to @Telstra for sending an SMS notification about contacting them regarding an email security issue, 24 hours after it was resolved. Better late than never I suppose..
