@Telstra But it took three days to get them to recognise that the issue had to be escalated. The way MyTelstra apps works in regards to support, could mean that you get bounced from tech to tech, adding to the delay. Been a horrible experience...

@MartinMurray_Ag @peters_malcolm Yes - Telstra will finish switch off 3G bandwidth by 2024, they are on record as saying they will upgrade the current coverage area to 4G/4GX - the issue will be as people move to 4GX they are likely to download more which will reduce yield for those further at from the tower.

@Telstra Made an order from the rewards store, selected home address and didn't realise till the confirmation email came through that there was no house number. Contacted support, told me to wait 24hrs. Contacted again 20hrs later and was told it was too late, to contact Startrack...

Feels kind of pointless talking yet again to a polite but unempowered L1 support person. I don't want to go to another network because I spent a fair bit of time in remote areas that only Telstra have coverage in. But may need to resort to having two services :-(

@Telstra thanks for denying my phone upgrade when I've been in credit by hundreds of dollars on my bills for over 2 years now 👍 Great way to treat loyal customers, been with you guys for over a decade now 😪 #pissedthefuckoff #myphoneisdying

@Telstra Correct - a very poor flaw. If I had of known I would have not ordered them from Telstra. Most direct debit autopay systems can be changed by a few days - why not Telstra's?

  • peterw
    peter (@peterw) reported

In summary, options from @telstra are: 1) pay more 2) unnecessary credit check to pay less 3) escalate as a complaint because apparently no manager is present in the call centre on a Saturday to deal with questions that the script can’t answer
