@Telstra Thanks Reggie its been a couple of times and it’s difficult to convey gravity of problem by messaging. More recently it related to a scam and I had to ask that I not be handed to someone else as it was in their area…meant having to retype the message. Speaking to someone better

@debbie_prest Try talking to any one in person at Telstra. All by messaging system and go round and round where you are referred to someone else and you have to repeat why you need help. Talk about backward step and shocking customer service

@telstra showing home internet outage until Wednesday for Kew, VIC. And supposed 4G backup modem not worth two bob. Seriously, third world service, perhaps not even that good.

@Jane_L_Kennedy @Telstra And of course he believed it, afterall, the people at telstra told him the NBN called. 6 hours they kept him on the phone and ended up costing my dad $19,000. Absolutely ridiculous and when he called telstra, they didn't give a ****. Switched to optus. Safer /3

@Telstra Thanks Reggie it happened late October and I spent quite a while trying to seek assistance by messaging system. I kept getting referred to someone else and the new messaging would start by asking what the problem was after speaking to someone r previously. I ended up resolving.

@Jane_L_Kennedy @Telstra I should also point out that the @CommBank weren't much help either, as they never called him to say some random person was trying to take $19,000 out of his account and never bothered to refund the money for their negligence

@woopdedoo652 @Telstra can you get someone who isn’t a robot to help the Unicorn out. Unicorn had a hailstorm destroy her fixed wireless. I don’t think doing a modem reboot is going to fix it ey.

@Telstra Hey, #telstra why ask to DM if all you’re going to do is tell me to message the app? Why not say it here? The app is an abyss of endless requests to repeat the steps that didn’t work the first 50 times, before fading away without a resolution

@Bernoski @Telstra As I said, when you get to speak to actual human Telstra staff, they are invariably helpful & great. My complaint is about the weird policy that discourages or prevents @Telstra customers speaking to the useful humans.

@jennifer_murko @reallykazcooke @Telstra Awful treatment of customers. Not only Telstra. With less face to face banking services many seniors are seriously let down. While internet banking is fine for me, I remain with a credit union that has physical branches but for how long?

@reallykazcooke @Telstra Absurd isn't it? I've been having the same problem. The only solution if it goes on is to make a complaint to Ombudsman online (quick and easy) and they assign you a case worker who will speak to you. The social media gang are just there to manage you. They don't help.
-

@Telstra it is extremely enjoying when you wait on a call for some assistance for 10 minutes for sit then to drop out due to poor reception. A better system would be for us to give our contact details so you could call us back of this occurs. #frustrated
-
Kaz Cooke
(@reallykazcooke) reported
The PEOPLE who work for @Telstra are always helpful but wow, when you need to speak to a human & the number menu doesn’t cover your problem so it deliberately hangs up on you & sends an SMS saying go online? May as well be a cheerful ’Get Rooted!’ recorded message.

@reallykazcooke @Telstra It’s so counterproductive when you really need to speak to someone but you are already incandescent with rage after making seven calls and getting that automated text 6 times before you tell the robot you are going to cancel. Funny how quickly you get a person then

@CaroDiRusso Thats easy. When John Howard sold Telstra to taxpayers, when they already owned it. Now the govt pays rent to Telstra to use the network, that they previously owned. Howard should be in gaol.
