  • numloxx
Carsten Bauer (@numloxx) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

@Telstra That didn't answer my question. Australia has an unsecured phone system that the government or even telcos refuse to acknowledge or fix.

  • GabrielMorenoAU
Gabriel Moreno (@GabrielMorenoAU) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

@telstra wtf is going on with #nbn in #mountpleasanrwa #6153? paying premium and having shite sporadic service?

  • Huzy32
Matthew (@Huzy32) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

@Telstra It’s 4G is in camp which is great as most mobile usage is there. On site it drops to 3G regularly but the service is reasonably good. Some poor areas but you can make calls confident in the reception.

  • wafugee
Douglas Wardle (@wafugee) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

So my elderly mother went to the @Telstra store in Esperance to ask to get her ancient 10-year-old pre-paid phone network unlocked. As she was told to do by both the website and when she called. The manager refused. It’s like they’re BEGGING for TIO complaints.

  • cory_gale
Cory Gale 🦘🇦🇺 (@cory_gale) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

@TexanMeg @Telstra @Optus Do it! I haven’t really had any issues so far on my regional trips since switching over. The places where it cuts out don’t seem to work for Don either, who is on Telstra.

  • petedavo_au
Peter Davidson 🇦🇺 (@petedavo_au) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

@NewtonMark I'd wager that the Telstra Gen 2 smart modem is probably the direct cause of network congestion. Nice touch though to hide NBN disconnections with a fallover to 4G

  • TheDaleJT
Dale (@TheDaleJT) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

@Telstra Would it be at all possible to speak to someone who can actually help with my bundle billing. I don’t want to have to talk to three different Dept to resolve this issue. It’s a bundle account for a reason. Your customer service is deplorable

  • Miss__Danni
Danni (@Miss__Danni) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

Anyone else having issues with @Telstra emails?

  • tonytau101
Tony Ilian (@tonytau101) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

Are you a @Telstra @NBN_Australia customer. We've been having connectivity issues overnight. It seems that the Telstra / Big Pond DNS has crashed. I've just modded my Wife's phone & @Foxtel STU to use the @Google DNS 8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4 = Hey Presto problem solved. TI

  • donellechausome
Donelle (@donellechausome) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

@gourdo_bruno @Telstra They are pathetic. I’ve signed up with #AussieBoadband. The service was great. Got to speak to people in Australia and signed up within 10 mins. They’ve won awards for their service. They rate higher than @telstra so **** them.

  • LibranTechie
Brian (@LibranTechie) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

@echenze Telstra runs the monthly subscription service model. Implementating RCS should be more interesting watch for per message/per minute costing model like Safaricom.

  • freocookster
Freocookster ⚓ 🐀 💜 (@freocookster) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

If you thought Telstra couldn't be any more dismissive of its customers, check out this response: "Our phone options are limited at this time. Can you tell me what happened when you chatted with them?" No the auto-support was useless, I need a phone number!

  • SimonWLewis
Simon W. Lewis (@SimonWLewis) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

    @Telstra Ooo - now it’s changed - planned outage 1 March

  • 13simonsays

@Telstra I sent an email via my login about a month ago to Telstra support but I haven’t received feedback.

  • LaurenKBreen
Lauren Breen (@LaurenKBreen) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

@Telstra I have now been on the chat 35mins and all I have got is “have you paid your bill” and “when did the issue occur” … help! @Telstra

  • tonytau101
Tony Ilian (@tonytau101) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

I don’t like to admit it, but I was wrong. I thought @auspost had the worst customer service. Then the nation’s largest telco @telstra, said “hold my beer” - try Telstra shops like Belmont WA. It is chaos. If you need to go to a T shop, take a cut lunch and a drink. TI #awful

  • phil_honey
Philip Honey (@phil_honey) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

@robilange @burgess_ag @jemo44 Boost is another option, and believe that Telstra have given them access to all towers/whole network. Most other wholesale users don’t have access to all of the towers unfortunately.

@Empty_jr Like I was In Cloncurry for a week a few years back and I got **** service (even while on Telstra) when I travelled to Cloncurry to Mount Isa.

  • NellyChopp21984
    Nelly choppa (@NellyChopp21984) reported

@youngpac775 @omowereyso I don’t mean Tesla car, I mean her telecom/ network provider just like mtn, in Australia the use Telstra and some others

  • FarCanall
    Far Canal 😏 (@FarCanall) reported

Really unsure, but I’ve seen the same sort of buffoons rise to the top at Aust Post, Telstra, etc. The phrase “**** floats to the Top” is pretty common in Govt Industies. Good thing is, once they get there, their incompetence is exposed for all to see. Nowhere to hide.

  • joshatticus
    JoshAtticus (@joshatticus) reported

@itsiclassic Like I would've just gone and called support from one of the free Telstra payphones if I'd known it was gonna take that long and the store couldn't do anything

  • SdadMyself
    Conrad (@SdadMyself) reported

@SkyNewsAust Every business contributes tax revenue to the government, and extending the licence ‘could’ help raise additional funds. Will this create more jobs, or lead to layoffs like we’ve seen at Telstra and the big four banks, taking into consideration in the current climate?

  • TheNoisyTrunk
    The Noisy Elephant (@TheNoisyTrunk) reported

@adrian_couper "Telstra is a perfect example. The public owned it, public funds built it, and then the government sold it back to us as shares, what a ‘great deal’ for the people, right? In reality, the public purse lost a reliable income stream, and most everyday Australians (the ‘mum and dad’ investors) ended up on the losing end. Institutional investors and super funds snapped up the lion’s share, while retail investors often saw their holdings underperform or get diluted over time. The privatisation was framed as empowering the public, but the system was stacked in favour of the big players from the start. What John Howard did was sold the golden goose that lays eggs to pay down debt to make himself look good. Short-term.

  • MynoteTa
    thomas armstrong (@MynoteTa) reported

@toiletpaperaus1 No only did they sell off Telstra, they lied about it. Promised hand over heart they would not sell all of it knowing full damn well that they absolutely had to. It was always going to be all or nothing. Absolute ***** then and still are!
