@Telstra Thanks Winona. We reached out a fair bit in recent weeks while we tethered laptops to phones to keep working from home, with no solutions or genuine help on offer... so very happy with the decision to move on.

@ElianeMayer6 @AmyRemeikis By contacting Telco I had one contact, or Case Manager, who was very helpful . We have had lots of problems with connections and speed . Main problem being old copper wire and distance from the node . Got a good refund as Telstra was simply not providing promised service

@Optus Thank you. And I presume if I switch and port my number over I don’t have to contact Telstra to cancel?

hey @Telstra , since when is it ok to hold a customer's mobile number hostage for 14 days? You are obligated to port within 3 days according to the ACMA rules governing your carrier license. I've been without service for 14 days, how do you expect a person to survive this?

@Telstra informing people of a planned outage after the outage had begun is not good enough. People need to plan around especially with wfh.

@alexkidman @smyth_gj @AmyRemeikis the downside of the FttN-to-FttP upgrade is that NBN might use it as an excuse not to fix FttN issues, like Telstra did with copper and HFC beforing selling it to NBN
