No other store in the major shopping centre I visit have similar cordons or security guards. I went to Optus and walked straight in to receive friendly service.

The staff are obviously burnt out as they are extremely rude, and, no, I wasn’t rude to them. I also witnessed a very elderly man get turned away. How is he supposed to get service.

Modge (@MidgeeModge) reported@Telstra I am not making this up. They do not take bookings and 132200 hangs up on you. The chat service is painfully slow. I have seven services with Telstra and I will be moving on after many years.

I suspect the auth for the one number Telstra service is federated from the main Telstra ID service. Likely a tick box or something that needs enabling on the backend. Decent Telstra support would help, ultimately.
