  It amazes me the hypocrisy of the LNP & their shills. I remember when they sold Telstra off, all the crap Costello went on about taxpayers paying for towers. Now all I here is rural communities whinging & demanding Labor stump up billions to build towers everywhere!

That’s why ACMA and the new Triple Zero Custodian are investigating, and why Labor can slap them with up to $30 million in fines. This wasn’t some 1990s relic. A software defect triggered a nationwide meltdown on 8 July 2026: 600+ Triple Zero calls failed, V/Line trains halted, payments and services crashed, hundreds needed welfare checks, and police are investigating a death potentially linked to it. Telstra itself admitted a secondary Triple Zero fault the next day. Your desperate “privatised decades ago, not our problem” line is pure hack deflection. The federal government has statutory oversight, regulatory power, and contractual responsibility for critical emergency infrastructure right now under Labor. Stop peddling ABC-grade spin for a clapped-out regime that can’t even keep Triple Zero working. Crawl back to your echo chamber.

  @BilsonhBilson @AnthonyPHoran Government haven't got a good track record of running anything which is why we have record cost of living, energy marked it a mess, housing a mess, immigration a mess as we don't have the infrastructure to support it.
