@jriewolod @Telstra That’s why @telstra wants direct debt on all new contracts. Been with them for 30 years never missed paying a bill and they refused to give me a new contract on a existing phone number. PATHETIC no loyalty anymore 🤦🏻

@Telstra @jriewolod Next morning update: I can't stress this enough. Take the issue to the TIO and have them deal with directly Telstra. The TIO will work for you to come to a solution within the Telecommunications legal framework. Telstra will be fined, reported and it may stop it happening again.

@StNicolette12 @jriewolod @Telstra Sounds similar to my parents. Kept getting told there was maintenance in their area but only for email??? WTF??? after about 6 weeks and 15 hours on phone and chat it was fixed. They found the issue "on a different system".

@jriewolod @Telstra My mum has a basic mobile phone, has to renew card each month, having trouble getting into town to pay each month. Been paying $30 per month for years. Apparently she could of been paying 6 or 12 months in advance for a cheaper price but they didn't tell her. Telstra = ripoff
