Telstra Issues Reports Near St Helena, State of Victoria

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in St Helena and nearby locations:

  • DevaDev21 DevaDev (@DevaDev21) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Telstra One time, I was redirected to a tech person, who helped with resetting network settings, but it didn't help. They also disconnected the call post that without any reason. I am trying to get help for past 3 months.

  • Niksterisms Nikki Clare (@Niksterisms) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Oh @Telstra I’m also $300+ in credit, but apparently your new system doesn’t talk to your old system, so will I ever be refunded that amount? The reason that I was ahead on my plan was because I set up my own payments to avoid being giving a bad credit rating you once threatened

  • Adam_Goldman Adam (@Adam_Goldman) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Zelda_Doyle @Telstra I’m with @Optus it’s much the same. They actually blocked me when I raised an issue here.

  • PeterBannan5 Peter Bannan (@PeterBannan5) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Hey @Telstra, your app is down. Makes it difficult to pay you…

  • PeterBannan5 Peter Bannan (@PeterBannan5) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Telstra That takes me to sign in, which takes me back to my account and the app.

  • _TimMcMahon Tim McMahon (@_TimMcMahon) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@vertikar @NBN_Australia @Telstra The irony in Telstra workers having Optus and Vodafone services for continuity just in case nbn and Telstra mobile go down. 😬

  • Xiaoxialiu8 XXLR (@Xiaoxialiu8) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Telstra I was get a good solution from your service team 👍well done ✅

  • vitomattvm vito m (@vitomattvm) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Telstra Confusion over Telstra/Foxtel responsibility is an issue. When instructed to call Telstra by Foxtel, the T rep put me on hold “to look into it” & suddenly I found myself transferred to a F rep, more confused than I was. Why is this all so unnecessarily complicated?

  • _TimMcMahon Tim McMahon (@_TimMcMahon) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@vertikar @NBN_Australia @Telstra Yeah, 4G. No 5G coverage in this part of Melbourne. I wish I didn't have to use a SIM from another telco to get 20+ Mbps. Telstra 4G backup is about 0.16 Mbps down with a Smart Modem. We just tether phones during work hours for video calls or sharing would be too slow.

  • _TimMcMahon Tim McMahon (@_TimMcMahon) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Telstra 4G backup speed is 0.16 Mbps (down) in the Smart Modem. 💀 6.32 Mbps (down) when I use a SIM card from another telco in the modem. 🧐 Smart Modem with 4G backup is so slowwwww 🐌 @Telstra

  • DevaDev21 DevaDev (@DevaDev21) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Telstra Hope you can help - viktor. DM'ed as suggested. Help with fixing the network issue or help with port out of telstra.

  • Piiiiickles Pickles (@Piiiiickles) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Telstra I have mobile data… but it’s not enough to do what we can normally do. We rely on consistent service to be able to work at home. We had no warning. We are paying for both mobile and home internet, yet getting less than half the service. Outage map comes up negative for our area.

  • DevaDev21 DevaDev (@DevaDev21) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Telstra Yes, 3 times he called, and helped redirect the call to technical support. But the tech person said to check something in the background. Then they disconnected the call without any notice.

  • DevaDev21 DevaDev (@DevaDev21) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Telstra There is no way to contact, the case manager directly. I called up customer service a few times, they left a note in the case for the case manager to call back. But no response.

  • Niksterisms Nikki Clare (@Niksterisms) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Oh the @Telstra saga continues. So, Telstra won’t issue me a refund themselves. Oh no. I have to go through BPAY and my bank to request the refund. You guys are a piece of work. You have my money but someone else has to refund me. Absolute joke.

  • BillieHill64 Ade (@BillieHill64) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@MattThomas1405 I feel your pain. I once had an issue with Telstra that meant we ended up with no internet. After 3 months of useless advice and zero help from them I ended up diagnosing & fixing the problem myself. I now try and avoid dealing with them at all…

  • _TimMcMahon Tim McMahon (@_TimMcMahon) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@vertikar @NBN_Australia @Telstra I received an SMS later to expect 4 days of no internet. 💀 I've got a backup service running at full speed through another telco. Best not to put all our eggs in one basket if nbn HFC and Telstra mobile are both unusable while WFH. 🥵 Fortunate that there's overlapping coverage.

  • _TimMcMahon Tim McMahon (@_TimMcMahon) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

6.32 Mbps down and 15.3 Mbps up when I use a SIM card for a different telco in my Smart Modem. Telstra 4G backup SIM card is too slow. 0.16 Mbps. Dialup speeds. 😱

  • vitomattvm vito m (@vitomattvm) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Hey @Telstra @Foxtel the communication between the two of you & the ability to resolve an issue is awful. Upgrading a Foxtel box should not be this complicated. Into the 3rd hour now….

  • _TimMcMahon Tim McMahon (@_TimMcMahon) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

4G backup is a joke. 0.16 Mbps down and 0.55 Mbps up. HFC is a joke. Don't tell me infrastructure is failing during summer because it's 27C and 20-30 year old equipment is dying. 💀 Paying a premium for this. 😬 @Telstra

  • rosewal Rosemary Walton (@rosewal) reported

@Telstra Thank you I was advised over the phone that I will need to go into a store to fix my issue. I will make it my priority on Saturday

  • CassSharon Sharon Cass (@CassSharon) reported

@lakitukl @AlboMP We went to an alternate provider for our Internet a few years ago as Telstra was so unreliable. We have solar panels....waiting for the batteries to come down in price. Also a couple of generators (I know...petrol is bad) to keep the fridges/freezers going when the need arises.

  • Kathleenmary211 Kathleenmary21 (@Kathleenmary211) reported

@Telstra No. I can't find my case ID. I can't login... All I get is the PIN page. I have the right PIN. Would be nice to login. She told quite a few others are having same issues.

  • the_sadcat sadcat (@the_sadcat) reported

@Telstra can yous fix your app already! Can’t pay my bill

  • LeeSmiles3 Lee Smiles (@LeeSmiles3) reported

@BelongAU Hey Belong, your Indian call centre don't quite understand my question. I want to better understand what you mean by "We use part of Telstra's Mobile Network". It sounds like you don't have access to the entire network?

  • amber_wallace75 Amber 🐨🇦🇺 (@amber_wallace75) reported

@Telstra Hi there I sent my I Phone back to trade in almost 3 weeks ago and cannot get your Gold Member Support to work through the app. Can you see if I should have received an update by now, thanks.

  • itsjustjules97 Jules (@itsjustjules97) reported

@Telstra My phone having no service at all case number is 46307265

  • jeffreys_jake Jake Jeffreys (@jeffreys_jake) reported

@rick_rampal Pretty hard to here, most regional areas don't have any coverage accept Telstra. Because I go away working, I usually keep a Telstra prepaid going, just for when bush.Optus not bad around Cairns, but once up in the Gulf, forget it.

  • DoodyDarren Darren (@DoodyDarren) reported

@bollgare @BurkeHellibee @AlboMP You likely have access to the NBN. It may just be the poor connection types like fixed wireless or satellite. I wouldn't blame you for not wanting either. Starlink may be available to you. As for mobile, talk to Telstra, Optus, Vodafone, etc. Nothing to do with the NBN.

  • libertyscott Libertyscott 🇬🇧 🇹🇼 🇺🇦 🇰🇷 (@libertyscott) reported

@LewisHoldenNZ would have been Telstra, but it decided to invest by another means, and ultimately the RMA and Councils made the costs of installing a full third network seem prohibitive
