@blake_andersson @Telstra @Optus Go Boost Mobile! I’m with them. Same Telstra network, unlimited Apple Music, more data for less. Pre-paid.

  • naomi_t_81
Naomi Elle (@naomi_t_81) reported from Wollongong, New South Wales

@mels_mck @Telstra It sucks but the easiest way I’ve found if you are out of contract is just switch to another provider with your new name, I would think @Telstra could handle this but treating someone with dignity may be a bit much for them.

  • MischNarracott
Michelle Butterfield (@MischNarracott) reported from Wollongong, New South Wales

@Telstra I’m a patient person. However when my very elderly parents in Kiama are left without a land line for over 20 days & I discover that someone in @telstra or @nbn didn’t create a ‘Task ID’ for the third time in 3 weeks I reach a state of total frustration. Pls help.

  • shenmaxiu
沈马修 (@shenmaxiu) reported from Wollongong, New South Wales

@Telstra @janehansen2000 This is about cellular and backhaul capacity issues; you already have the metrics on your systems to indicate the issues, @Telstra

@Telstra Internet after today’s issue is cutting out. I’ve turned it off for 10 mins, turned it back on, I’ve hit the reset button, it starts to work for a bit and goes off again, I had a similar problem a week ago. Is there a problem in my area? Fairy meadow 2519 NSW

@LoneVaultWander Being in one of the housing estates ruined by @Telstra due to their pair gain nightmare...I never even had proper internet...never had a squad. There is so much of the 2000s people took for granted I never had!

  • cambuslangtrain
John Roach (@cambuslangtrain) reported from Wollongong, New South Wales

@LesStonehouse Faithful to Telstra for 40 years despite our blind loyalty not being reciprocated in quality of service or pricing. Switched to Optus at NBN connection time some years back. Could not be happier with Optus!! Stuff Telstra "and all who ro(r)t in her!!"

  • NatalieMoran20
Ms-Nat, #ProudProle (@NatalieMoran20) reported from Wollongong, New South Wales

Who rings octogenarians at 7pm on a Sunday to confirm that a problem they didn’t even know about had been rectified to their satisfaction? @Telstra you do-why? Thanks for the distressed elderly rellies, thanks for the missed call I couldn’t return, thanks for the cold dinner 🤬

  • iB3nji
Ben (@iB3nji) reported from Wollongong, New South Wales

@Telstra_news “Telstra operate the nation’s only 5G network”. I could be wrong, but I’m pretty sure @Optus has 5G too.

  • roseannebyrne
💧🌱pragmaticleftie 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇮🇪💔 (@roseannebyrne) reported from Kiama, New South Wales

@LesStonehouse @Telstra @Optus Oh He's. It does seem older folk were totally neglected in all of this. No NBN no phone. Cutoffs before they were ready. Expectations they'd understand it all. Neighbour is nearly 90 and it's been awful trying to keep him connected. All on his own.

  • BronwynCarlson
Dr Bronwyn Carlson (@BronwynCarlson) reported from Wollongong, New South Wales

@Telstra That is not true at all. I’ve requested to speak to somebody with no result. It’s poor service.

  • iB3nji
Ben (@iB3nji) reported from Wollongong, New South Wales

@__rymac Hmmm i mean it isn’t bad at all. I got 350Mbps+ over 4G with Telstra so I feel 5G should be close to 1Gbit.

  • LockAce1
Lachlan (@LockAce1) reported from Wollongong, New South Wales

@Telstra 2021 and still no Disney+ app on TTV. TTV is so bad! So many other good streaming products, avoid TTV at all costs!

@Telstra Calling Telstra only to be disconnected and referred to a text service with a non- human who is incapable of responding to anything off script. No call back.

    Lombok (@Phildecynic) reported

Telstra chief executive Vicki Brady took home $6.8 million last year – an 11 per cent increase, despite a fall in revenue at Australia’s largest telecommunications company in the year leading up to its disastrous nationwide outage last month. (AFR)

@MrRexPatrick Am amazed you have internet access, must be Starlink?? One of my gripes travelling out there is when there is a Telstra signal, but being on their network with another provider and it does not work.

  • Riogallica
    🌸 Rita Gee ♥ 🇦🇺 (@Riogallica) reported

My @NBN has been down since 9am & they won't come to fix issue till Monday - 4 days (2nd time in 2 wks)! My Telstra hotspotting is weak. Time to hook up with @starlink Issue here is local installer charges an arm/leg etc to install sys on roof etc. I may have to suck it up.

  • Kroke14
    Kråke (@Kroke14) reported

@7NewsSydney Great now she'll offshore even more Telstra workers under the guise of AI adoption so she can recoup some money for herself. Worst Telstra CEO ever..

  • twistedandbitte
    bitterboy (@twistedandbitte) reported

@Telstra What a bloody disgrace you are Telstra. Heard back from the person the complaint went to. Their response was instead of discussing the issue bluntly told us that given they have called us the case is now closed. Never discussed anything refused to discuss anything.

  • SenSHenderson
    Senator Sarah Henderson (@SenSHenderson) reported

Anika Wells’ claim 'the industry must learn from its mistakes' following a damning report into the catastrophic Telstra outage is not good enough.  The collapse of Telstra’s mobile network on 8 July this year caused chaos with payment systems, shut down train networks, and stopped some people calling triple zero. Mobile telecommunications networks are critical infrastructure.  That is why, on the day of the outage, the Coalition called on the government to urgently deliver mobile network reliability standards.  There must be appropriate minimum standards in place governing the reliability, performance, and maintenance of our mobile networks with significant penalties when those standards are breached.  Asking telcos to 'rebuild trust with Australians by ensuring networks do not succumb to preventable failures’, as the minister stated today, is like hitting the telcos with a piece of wet lettuce.  The minister’s silence on the need for a tougher regulatory framework is deafening.

  • Frank93688755
    Frank (@Frank93688755) reported

This is the truth. Telstra engineers were required by HR to take a break. And that's why the system collapsed and emergency calls didn't go through. Whoodathunkit?

  • justinbandy13
    justin bandy (@justinbandy13) reported

@daisymay4263 I can see one of Telstra towers in my town out my window...and reception is **** house... Telstra and their never ending rising rates with crap deals,...hope you enjoy your 7million,..ffffn useless

  • StandMeOver
There’s Only One Jezza (@StandMeOver) reported

@Ausbobsmit And she’s as dumb as ****. Watched the Telstra 000 enquiry and she couldn’t even get the Telstra CEO’s name right. Any wonder these senate enquirers aren’t worth the paper they’re written on. As for actions post them, wipe my arse with them as the majority are forgotten.

  • ACCAN_AU
    ACCAN (@ACCAN_AU) reported

That's a wrap on @Techingov_AU in Canberra. Two consumer takeaways: new tech must work for everyone, not just the average user and trust in government services must be informed by consumers and measurable, including traceability of AI agents. Also a sharp breakdown of the Telstra outage from Frank den Hartog (Uni of Canberra). #TechinGov
