Jamie (@scibidoo) reported from Cairns, Queensland@mig_loren @bencmorrison I have my iPhone and iPad on Telstra SIM with shared data.255gb shared. It's come down over the years but the convenience of an esim when travelling is pretty cool. Still expensive if you just use the Apple provider interface.

Dave Jones (@eevblog) reportedNow tweeting from my lab machine again with very basic Optus 5G internet. Will have to upload video and stuff from home, but otherwise I'm kinda functional again. No idea when NBN/Telstra will restore the connection, it's been 3 days already so I assume it's very bad. Today is Sunday and tomorrow is another public holiday.

Nina Nikolic 💫 Kerri (@kidkerrigan) reported@DeadSlugg @Aussie_BB 🫠 from Telstra to Optus to internode to iinet to Aussie bb but honestly you’re probably right if the don’t get their stuff together. It always starts the same, then you see the customer service start to deteriorate, then the service. Who are you with now?

davie ewan macdonald (@escalatorover) reported.@Telstra In 2025 I had an issues with Telstar email outgoing server to my desktop. Eventually after 8 weeks Telstra finally accepted they were a cause of the dysfunction of my application. Today after 7 weeks I have had cause to write the following to Telstra. Dear Help Desk (Vicki Brady) Last Thursday and I don't know if it was in response to my previous write message (ONE OF SEVERAL) I was via text/sms promised a support call. New Case/reference Number 129518320 I have heard nothing! This issue with your server connectivity to my desk top application, encryption to your server incoming to my app means this matter has been ongoing now for 7 weeks. In April/May 2025 it took Telstra 8 weeks to accept responsibility. In the meantime I have been struggling with Webmail and today I can report in detail recorded over the past 3 days 11 (Eleven) separate bugs in webmail that are repeated multiple times amounting to 21 (Twenty One) cases of dysfunctional instances this morning. These issues reported at least as far back as 2023 but were again at various times over the past 7 (Seven) weeks. Only with a desktop application can these issues be minimized. The last consultant prior to my message of last week was highly disingenuous with me saying he would keep the case open until I as I offered to do again consult MS about the issues . The outcome was he simply closed the case as reported to you Tuesday last. DM's not accepted. Here is fine. Nothing to hide

Craig Gardiner (@cwgardiner) reported@telstra reception in Vermont South (near Sewart close) is crap. I logged a call (INC 40508228) as a @Telstra Gold member 6 months ago, today they told me it was fixed. It ain’t fixed. Still no 4G/5G and I’m paying for 4G backup on my NBN modem. This is beyond a joke.
-
Ron Henry (@RonHenryCC) reportedIt is OK @kayo It casts well from the phone. I suspect using 5G. So it is possibly a @Telstra server problem.
-
7NEWS Adelaide (@7NewsAdelaide) reportedPolice are searching for a second suspect after a copper cable stealing spree left dozens of homes without internet in Morphett Vale. Both ends of a cable had been cut in Telstra pits and dragged hundreds of metres down the road. Police say they spotted an SUV with a large amount of cabling on the ground before seizing various power tools from inside the vehicle. A 41‑year‑old Christies Beach man has been charged with theft and going equipped.

Will G (@willgotsis) reported@Gatty54 Worst part was, we called Telstra the next day to say it was fraudulent as payment pending, long story they said we’ll stop it, no they didn’t, 3 days later payment cleared. Others were good and cancelled. In the end we got all our money back, but what a pain in the arse.

The Noisy Elephant (@TheNoisyTrunk) reported@adrian_couper "Telstra is a perfect example. The public owned it, public funds built it, and then the government sold it back to us as shares, what a ‘great deal’ for the people, right? In reality, the public purse lost a reliable income stream, and most everyday Australians (the ‘mum and dad’ investors) ended up on the losing end. Institutional investors and super funds snapped up the lion’s share, while retail investors often saw their holdings underperform or get diluted over time. The privatisation was framed as empowering the public, but the system was stacked in favour of the big players from the start. What John Howard did was sold the golden goose that lays eggs to pay down debt to make himself look good. Short-term.
