@Optus I’m guessing you don’t monitor the chat/message service 24/7?

@Telstra is the best way to fix my slow, unreliable NBN issue to cancel and go with @Optus ? Considering the time I’ve spent this arvo and got no where it’s looking like the solution. #telstra #nbn

@PRGuy17 The only disaster was being an Optus customer

Was the Optus incident deliberately done to make customer move to another provider. Guessing the fibre optic roll out shows that Telstra was losing its customers. Just interesting to happen when fibre optic option is rolling out.

@ClareONeilMP Optus have no specific link on their website to communicate with them on this issue. It would help if they set up a direct contact to communicate with. At the very least- a message with relevant and up to date info, not sales.. #optus

@peterfraserbris Never heard of Optus until just now. I must live such a sheltered life. First some healthcare place named Kaiser something-or-other. Ten minutes later it's, "Optus" whatever-it-is I luckily never got involved with.

I'm Thinking now is a good time to free Julian Assange to help with the whole OPTUS debacle. @Optus #hacked #FreeJulianAssange

@mariewalsh18 I’m an Optus customer and all I’ve heard is crickets. I am a relatively new customer (two months) and I went straight down there after the long weekend and demanded that they show me that my account was safe and they did and it’s unaffected apparently.

@Randall87454048 Actually, I'd make Optus forward to the govt the list of all medicare numbers it holds. They don't, for example, appear to hold mine. So it's not even EVERY medicare card that requires re-issuing. Just some of them. And the govt should re-issue those. AND PASSPORTS.

@gbergsma @darylgibson @_sara_jade_ Optus have not released an incident report, nor do we know if they’re obliged to. It’s quite possible (literally) anybody with access to the internet also got a copy of the data for weeks, months etc.Difference is this person went public for money, therefore exposed the api issue

@Optus thanks for your lack of vigilance n poor cyber security. I spent lots of money on internet security to protect my cards, passport, DOB etc now they're leaked in hack when I last used Optus back in 2018! They can sell my data to other hackers 😡
