@winsordobbin @RonniSalt @Optus The entire organisation is a hopeless joke. Doesn't anyone have a problem with foreign interests owning and controlling a significant portion of our comms infrastructure? Their MO may be fine for Singapore. Not here. Throw them out. #floptus

  • prleeds Phillip Leeds (@prleeds) reported

@RonniSalt @Optus We had a real case study in my old organisation when our “executive team” mishandled a serious issue very badly. Our Minister was ropable and the Chief Executive ultimately lost his job over it.

  • baradhili PICSI.co (@baradhili) reported

@joshgnosis yup... +1 Optus was telling people quickly.. -100 They plonked the API on the net with apparently no protection (or review?) "Security through obscurity" absolutely doesn't work

  • _Carlton___ Carlton (@_Carlton___) reported

Optus admits that appointing Gladys Berejiklian’s boyfriend as data security manager was a bad idea.

  • brettjmb brettjmb (@brettjmb) reported

@Jeremy_Kirk so do you KNOW that names of the ppl on the10200 list? if so are you going to inform optus or the government so they can inform any us poor souls on that list?

  • Jeremy_Kirk Jeremy Kirk (@Jeremy_Kirk) reported

Does anyone know if Optus has a vulnerability disclosure program or a bug bounty program? The Optus hacker claims they might have reported the API security problem if Optus was easier to contact.

  • AltoCarol Caz (@AltoCarol) reported

@boards_john I've NEVER had to give my passport number to any firm simply offering a service, only for government agencies. So glad I avoided Optus! #OptusDataBreach
