Justin Jones (@justinjonesblog) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
It’s the “Dear Justin” to “Dear Customer” for me. This really looks like a suss email that is doing Optus zero favours. #OptusHack #OptusDataBreach #Optus
-
Mick (@mikjcal) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@nicenuts @Itsrustyruss @Optus I can just imagine Deborah and Alan Boomer going in there and losing their **** at the poor staff who had zero to do with it. I feel sorry for the workers in retail. Retail is already a **** job, then you have this on top of it.

Karan White 🌱 (@karan_white_) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@mjrowland68 @BreakfastNews I'm an @Optus customer, but not for much longer. Haven't had any additional comms beyond the initial email.

Scruff_Around_the_Edges (@Scruff_Edges) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
Wtf is a try guy and no I won't google it, I don't wanna be embarrassed in front of the Optus Hacker.
-
Niko (@nick_komo) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@MrXBob @Matt92644813 @9NewsMelb Hmm i would of thought CEOs on the big bucks had some influence into important decisions. Anyway you are getting a bit too aggressive for a non optus customer. So move on 🙋 #OptusHack

Brian Humphries (@rocky1622) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@lynlinking @WgarNews L am glad not Optus customer
-
Morabeets 🇺🇦 (@morrisd3_dm) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@DarkMatterzine @joshgnosis Even if the documents were necessary they should never have been placed in an insecure situation. If the API's access was exhaustive Optus was stuffed from the get go.

Bo Reidler (@2020digging) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@abcnews Patterson reckons companies make errors? This is unadulterated negligence. @Optus has failed in their *legal* responsibility to keep their customers’ data safe. APP11. Penny pinching on security while dishing it out for incompetent executives is a recipe for disaster.
-
Daniel Bowen (@danielbowen) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
I was an Optus broadband customer until 2019. No contact from them yet. Wondering if I’m safe or not.
-
Adam Gemmell (@raymond3020) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@Optus I received your email saying my license and passport was given as part of your breach. No further comms. Your website says I should have received a sms that was sent to all that has had their ID docs leaked. Silence! Been an Optus customer for 17 years. Not much longer
-
Time Traveller then/now (@PetraElliott) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@davenlamb Yep. Same wording. Granted i haven’t been a customer of optus in just shy of 20 years. So I wouldn’t be on a current mailing list. But my date of birth and phone number hasn’t changed in that time and I obviously can’t change/get a new DOB. It’s just super poor form overall
-
Stanleysmum (Sharon) (@Stanleysmum1) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@somewherein84 Or insta! I saw a woman yesterday who blamed Dan for Penny Wong requesting Optus pay for the replacement passports etc 🤯I shouldn't have lowered myself to her level but I couldn't help myself
-
Stephen McDonald (@sbmcd) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@Optus #OptusDataBreach so my partner who was a customer with you in 2016 has been notified about the data breach, but I was a customer up to a year ago and still can’t find out if my data has been compromised.
-
Scouse Helen(Helen Drinoczky) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (@scousehelen) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@Optus The saga goes on. A 4+ hours wait up to now on the app and still no nearer to getting my question answered. 24/7 help advertised but no mention of how long the wait is!

Optus data hack reeks of a nerdy 14 year old that’s been banned from the PS4 so had to find entertainment elsewhere and accidentally got in trouble with his parents/the AFP
-
Andrew Watson (@tmwwthere) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
10am yesterday @Optus told me over the phone that my info wasn’t caught up in the breach. By the end of the day I received an email saying my info has been breached. No way of trusting #optus - haven’t been a customer of theirs since 2018. @SlaterGordon bring on the class action
-
@kelseyvh (@kelseyvh) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
Hey @Optus I’m having nbn service issues. Your online messaging service is not responding. You network status page says “under investigation” and has said that for three days. I’ve sent you a DM but no response there either.

-
PolarK (@Karina_Melbs) reported
@prafxis @maximumwelfare @choiceaustralia /2 Since being hacked via optus in Sept I've thought constantly about exactly how much I uploaded to the 3rd party rental things & that I never got confirmation everything was deleted afterwards or do they retain it.
-
real halo lore facts (@PostingGeneral) reported
anyway ordering optus 5g home internet because the builder for the new house we're renting neglected to lodge an application with nbnco and it'll take months to fix 🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃
-
James Smart (he/him) (@PoE_fanatic) reported
@Optus It seems to have rectified itself but I do have this problem from time to time. I've done a traceroute in Windows and the issue seems to be a particular router on the NBN.
-
Owen Brandt (@owenbrandt) reported
@Optus your customer service has gone downhill over the last month. For a customer of over 11 years, I’ve been treated appalling. Monies owed, been promised call backs and doesn’t eventuate. Just a terrible experience
-
Steve Barrett (@_stevebarrett) reported
@Optus Fetch TV, I’ve seen stream quality issues before, it was frustrating when I tweeted when all highlight streams I tried were struggling
-
Rell (@relllipp) reported
If you looking to buy a LTE pixel watch be aware they don't work on the @optus network
-
Tahlia Rose (@teigra_1) reported
@markhumphries I connected with a TPG wireless. No connection fee & no cost for router. I don’t have FTN or FTH NBN here. When you move you can let them know & take it with you or send it back. Telstra & Optus not an option, don’t work here. As a city metro resident you won’t have a problem
-
Michael Ienna (@eduienna) reported
@Optus - 25min to simply change one month to month contract to another, which included having to facial recognition myself to send even more data to you when I am already a member. This should be a one click process inside a users login portal.
