It seems like our @optus 5G has stop working today Waiting for 3-5 working days to hear about the next step in solving the issue seems .... not good.
-
Tony (@Tony_3163) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@Optus Currently up to 75 hours without functioning home Internet through @optus Home Broadband 5G service. No resolution in sight.
-
Tony (@Tony_3163) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
120 hours of no service @Optus 5G Homebrand and no contact today about what the solution will be. Resisting NBN but needs must.

@sandylanceley @CouchNish @MelbPTUser @melissakp @australian @Singtel They can not run a 3/4G network to save themselves and I cannot see why anyone still pays them / or why they’re in business. But I guess change is tricky for most. Getting off Optus was the best battery and speed boost I’ve had—like a new phone! 🤣 they’re shocking

Kharla Williams (@KharlaWilliams) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@Optus severe issues making calls from my mobile phone on your service today. Colleagues with Telstra didn’t have difficulties I had. I am paying higher than average monthly premium
-
Nikola Vukcevic (@nikolajarac) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@Optus your web chat has been down for half an hour now...

@chatshy Went to Optus today to get a replacement sim and ended up getting AirPods pro on installment 😓 I didn’t even think of buying Cz too broke atm until the customer care person put it into my head and now I’m blaming myself lol
-
Tony (@Tony_3163) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@Optus Miscommunication, take the sim to be replaced, no don’t, we still need 3-5 working days to get reports. I asked “Is it acceptable for a customer to be without any Internet for up the 6 days” After a positive start, I’m wondering whether the @Optus wireless 5G was a error. /2
-
Stephanie Johnson (@SeeingWithStars) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
Hope that @Telstra @Optus @Internode etc are ready for the onslaught of home workers Our NBN is extremely slow today
-
Alex Dawson (@mralexdawson) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
Oh dear @FOXTEL_Help, You keep telling me my new apartment in the same building can’t be serviced. All I need is an engineer to connect a wire but forced to follow your internal email process. I mean it’s 2020. No issues with @Optus switch today. Worst customer service ever!
-
Geoff Craig (@geoff_craig) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@PaulDavys Optus sucks!
-
Dilip Rao (@diliprao) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@ipinky77 @Optus Customer delight is not that hard @optus - give frontline staff some leeway to make decisions but also enough tech training to solve beyond their structured piece of the puzzle. I could have been up in 24 hours rather than 216.
-
Tony (@Tony_3163) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@Optus Thanks Aron, already escalated, but service is ...... underwhelming.
-

@BenderDeth I get 40g a month. And thankfully my data has just reset. But **** Optus. I'm gonna get a free month.
-
jonnyforeigner (@j_foreigner) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
Optus are currently paying ~$50m/year for the EPL streaming rights and charge $15/month to subscribers. Now not everyone pays that fee (I never have), but let’s assume that every mobile customer’s monthly bill has that subscription built in and funds go towards content

友人圓 (@kelvin_yli) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@Optus All sorted now but wanna lodge a complaint for that, I seriously doubt the Optus system is a mess and not maintained well based on this issue and other experiences.
-
Dean Rosario (@DeanRosario) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@ThatSkiMaskGuy Watched Rakuten a couple of times. Pretty poor quality. Final match when Ange won the title the server was overloaded so I couldn't get connection. Optus will also promote it with additional shows, interviews, etc. Optus have exceeded my expectations with EPL, UCL.
-
Tony (@Tony_3163) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@_kimannexo @Optus We tried Optus 5G home broadband, it stopped working and stayed that way for more than two weeks. Poor communication, response and service. We cancelled and moved to an alternative.

@LounaTuna @Optus **** that's shameful for nbn speeds

@noplaceforsheep I just got an email stating my data is breached. I haven’t been an Optus customer for 17 years. Can’t get my license done for days/weeks as we are remote/rural, it’s raining and we are cut off from the town that does that. When I can get there it will be a day off work.
-
justbequiet (@justbequiet1) reported
@erfbeeass I spoke with @optus yesterday and despite not being a current customer (only 2 years) was told that they are required to retain records for 6 years. I knew of the meta data for 2 years but all else?
-
FnMyalgia (@GeoffKirwood) reported
@Gergyl Not just Optus have weak ICT. Consulting to @Telstra and their eCom LOLO was poorly performing. Wanted server upgrade, but I blamed code. Team uncoop, so logged into Oracle to pull stats (guessed admin pswd: "changeoninstall"). Cache miniscule, no stmt reuse. Took a year to fix.

@9NewsAUS @cokeefe9 To all the comments Simply, optus, other telcos etc require 100point of ID when you sign up for a service. A passport/drivers license is part of that The info stolen can be used to sign up for credit cards, loans etc in your name. Not necessarily to gain access 2 other accounts
-
Soozie (@SueEAdams) reported
@mjrowland68 @BreakfastNews An email telling me that as a former Optus customer, some of my personal data has been breached. They may be foreseeing the future but I am a current Optus customer.
-
ChezSez (@SaysChez) reported
@7NewsAdelaide @PMalinauskasMP It’s a long drive for me and the waiting times to get a new drivers licence. I’m not impressed being a former Optus customer.
-

@Smallzy @Optus I’m pretty sure in other countries once you leave a company your data is destroyed- why is this not happening here? What a fundamental **** up

@davidtickle @TMRQld @Optus On your website now it says : Bring the following documentation with you to a transport and motoring customer service centre: your Optus data breach notice is this the letter from Optus to say our data has been stolen. Or do we have to wait until its used for crime
