@Yos1wt @RavenZech2 @auspost It’s not a shift worker thing. I have mine turned off for this very reason. Optus alerted me to a usage issue but i only just saw the text that came through after midnight. And then there are Zuckerbook Messenger users and SMS senders from other time zones etc

Bro wtf is going on with my data @Optus

  • BeauGiles Beau 😷 (@BeauGiles) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@notsomadboy @FantaRising Leases are gone now for Optus/Telstra/Vodafone - all plans are month to month and you pick a phone to pay off over 12/24/36 months (usually just the retail price split) - move plans up/down each month - or just bail at any time and just have remaining phone payments to pay.

  • Burgo0806 Courtney (@Burgo0806) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Hi @Telstra I just went into one of your store as I want to port across 2 mobiles and home internet across from Optus. Much to my surprise, the customer service rep told me because I’m a new customer I can’t port across 2 phones. Is this accurate 😳

  • OneEyedWriter63 Brett Hatchman (@OneEyedWriter63) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

to me over the phone she hung up. The number she called from was a Sydney number, but she sounded like she was at an overseas call centre. She may have been on the up & up, but why hang up? If it's a scam I thought you @Telstra & @Optus should know about it. Brett.

  • MichaelSchulz MichaelSchulz (@MichaelSchulz) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@optus business down?? Phone message says major outage in Sydney.

  • VelitesNelson velites (@VelitesNelson) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Optus after repeated phone calls, talking with many of the customer service team members, the funds that have been debited out of my mother's account after December 2019 when she had cancelled her service with @Optus. In which your team has admittedly agreed to the mistake (ctd)

  • AdamNotMadam69 Adam! (@AdamNotMadam69) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@backupbear Vodafone charge $5/GB now if you happen to be overseas or on an ancient plan. Both Telstra and Voda just slow you down if you download too much. It’s only Optus that charges $10/GB now

  • Simmotravels The Wandering Simmo (@Simmotravels) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Amazing how the customer service team at @Optus can't even answer a simple question.

  • vanwaitsy Angela #football. Bloody hell!!!♥️ (@vanwaitsy) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

******* dead Tim Sherwood is going bat **** crazy on Optus Sport. He's so angry with us, saying pretty much Ole should go in there and slaughter them. Is Timmy actually a United fan?

  • agarwalnischint Nischint Agarwal (@agarwalnischint) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Optus Hi Team, I'm unable to receive any calls and unable to login to app either to contact support team.

  • tamsinbirch Tamsin Birch (@tamsinbirch) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@FourRedShoes @Telstra Stay the hell away from Vodafone because the concept of travel, time zones and moving country appears to be beyond them. It took us six months to convince them we no longer lived in UK (therefore they could stop billing us) and we’ve had problems travelling too. Optus seem ok.

  • cgfmrf maria russo-fama (@cgfmrf) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Optus @Optus I have sent yet another DM and waiting on a response. We are still without service. Please respond ASAP

  • 4Qpolies David (@4Qpolies) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

I’ve just rung Foxtel to see about opening an account but when I spoke to someone on a line advertised ON A FOXTEL PAGE they tell me I have the wrong number! Profit vs service! #FOXTEL #OPTUS

  • OneEyedWriter63 Brett Hatchman (@OneEyedWriter63) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

A 'Heads Up' for @Telstra. Just got a call from a lady who said they worked for you wanting to reset my password for my internet as she reckons it's currently in public mode. Only problem is I'm with @Optus. She said she already new my password & when I asked her to repeat it 1/2

  • AshleyUbrihien Ashley Ubrihien (@AshleyUbrihien) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Optus I recently order a new NBN and someone at Optus changed my first name to my middle name without even asking. Now your staff are telling me I need to go to an Optus store to update something I never asked to change. How is this possible?

  • Oli_gal Oli Gallagher (@Oli_gal) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@hughwizzy So so daft all that pricing. Here you can get every single PL & UCL game for either $100 (£50) a year or free if you’re with Optus phone network

  • Hugh_96 Hugh_96 (@Hugh_96) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Optus Quade, its fine, was just letting you know, it happens fortnightly, it was fine all day today, then tonight slows down, you cant resolve it, so just thought it maybe of value to let you know. No need to reply. Thanks.

  • amitchhabra84 amit kumar (@amitchhabra84) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • ConcernedOzzi concerned citizen (@ConcernedOzzi) reported

@albericie @Optus Optus about 10 years ago turned to crap, they don't even care if you leave them now.

  • JenRoss2009 Jen Ross (@JenRoss2009) reported

@albericie @Optus Telstra is way worse! Took a month to get someone to help me cancel a duplicate service. The bot sent me in circles, phone line redirected me to online chat, online chat person overseas was incentivised to make me keep the service. In the end I had to stoop to tweeting at them!

  • cassidycait Cassidy (@cassidycait) reported

@optus why is my internet not working 4413

  • vingreensill Vince Greensill (@vingreensill) reported

@albericie @Optus It’s frustrating. When you teach the end of your patience, raise a complaint. At that point you get handled onshore.

  • patsymarshall50 Patricia Marshall (@patsymarshall50) reported

@rhysam @Optus It is hideous, I know. Always end up screaming down the phone.

  • GeorgeL737 George Langley (@GeorgeL737) reported

@albericie @Optus Welcome to telco world. I think they have so many subcontractors and outsourced so much of their customer support their systems are totally broken.

  • _VonFingerbang ɢᴀʏʙʀᴀʜᴀᴍ ᴛᴡɪɴᴋɪɴ (@_VonFingerbang) reported

All I've done this morning in the 2 hours I've been awake is practically be on hold to Optus. Im just not sure if I'm explaining my issue properly. Because I'm just going around in circles. There is no connected phone/internet line in this house. I just want to know..

  • AAAAuto655 AAA Automotive (@AAAAuto655) reported

@Optus Why can't we get anyone to help out. How can they not find an account number when we pay that bill? Maybe we should stop paying it if it doesn't exist? #telecommunicationombudsman is next contact

  • DavidPenington2 David Penington (@DavidPenington2) reported

@albericie @Optus In 2001 l cancelled an installation by Telstra. A month later found them measuring cables down the street to do it. 6 months later someone came to "measure the missing installation details". His work sheet said "Mr Cancelled"! Contracted out work via poorly designed interfaces.

  • LachlanCharles5 Lachlan Charles (@LachlanCharles5) reported

@albericie @Optus Australia in the late 90s and turn of the century invested heavily to outsource its call centres overseas. At the same time they moved manufacturing to China and other Asian locations. Try and support local Aussie NBN companies. There are a few good Aussie ones around
