@trevorlong @ServiceNSW And to think Optus has STILL not implemented 2FA on Optus email login. If I stand to be corrected? Only available on account login.

SMS 2FA is broken, verifying your identity is broken, the only things left are device/token based authentication and passwords/pins. Contact your bank and tell them that only in-person manual check can verify identity if password is forgotten. #optus

Hmmm...wondering if it's worth changing mobile service provider. I'm genuinely pissed about the @Optus hack that has left my identity compromised and the way Optus have handled it but in reality this could happened with another provider i guess #OptusHack

@catedempsey Absolutely. There won’t be any real punishment for Optus. So of course they won’t take it very seriously. If they had to compensate each customer and face heavy fines, they may think twice about hoarding unnecessary data

@Brodhe If I wasn't in the USA I would be churning not because of the breach itself but because I read about it in the media for 2 days before they emailed me. I am shocked by the @optus fail.

@miss_neko_nadi @nswrta @Optus Hi. A replacement CRN/lice number can only be issued if you have written evidence from an enforcement agency (QPS, i/state police or AFP) that proves your CRN has been used to commit fraud, and a statutory declaration requesting issue of the new number. If eligible, this is free.

I've now had more support and proactive comms from @cba then I have @Optus after #OptusHack that's not a hack but poor security on their behalf. Will I be changing providers? Yes! #optusfail

@ServiceNSW I've just been turned away from my local Marrickville service NSW branch despite having a CIRS, a completed change of licence number form and copy of Optus email confirming I'm impacted. "Until your details have been used for fraud we can't help!" #OptusHack

@Optus @RunnerSA18 Optus you’re horrible and absolute disgrace to the Australian consumers. Overseas and no further roaming, you know why? Because your app keeps crashing and you can’t recharge. Incompetence from Top to bottom
