Ms Mansk (@msmansk) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
I’m an @Optus customer and they’ve explained reasonably about an outage situation. @Telstra was inconsistent.

@tweet_Krishan Yeah agreed. I wrote about Optus in particular for that last year when the whole not working indoors thing wasn’t disclosed in a easy or accessible way for customers
-
Will G (@TwoHalves45) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
@BJssoR @bigmig81 I’d love to see all football head to Optus in time. Their coverage is 2nd to none. And their stocks continue to rise. Unlike Fox who have been ripping us dry with ridiculous subscriptions for many years. Well had as I will never subscribe again.

Costaki (@Costaki__) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
Optus Sport now getting the J-League rights. Must say I hated Optus Sports when it began as it was issue after issue but now they are fantastic and just keep improving year on year.
-
Nick Burrough (@NickBurrough) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
@Optus Sarah, the last message was from Optus. So you do not know internally what is broken
-
Arafat Tehsin (@arafattehsin) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
@simone_au @Optus Telco customer services are joke here. Once I reported the similar issue to @VictorDominello's team about this and they straight away transferred my query to the Minister of Comm, Cyber Safety and Arts and I never heard back. 👏

alan “Ally Of The Oppressive Matriarchy” jones* (@bigyahu) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
@simonwaight @Telstra @Optus This is a business account which apparently by law they have to issue a monthly paper statement for. Part of me wants to let them keep sending me paper statements for years. But environment says no.

Alan Wedesweiler (@alanwedesweiler) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
@Optus Thanks for the message Jono. But I find it quite strange that a company whose net worth in 2019 rose 13 per cent to $S3.9 billion can’t or won’t tell me when a $1500ish phone is arriving and takes over 14 days to “understand” an incident.
-
Pez (@PezLP) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
So @Optus are *************** now. I’ve had minimal internet over the last 72 hours, tech call today who replaced a modem. He said “it usually only takes 10 minutes to activate”. Now almost 12 hours later still no internet with tech support saying it can take 24. I’m so done.
-
ash rehn (@ashrehn) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
@David_M_Green Optus sent tech to address I’ve not lived at for 4 years & where my cable service had been with another company. & billed my credit card without authorisation. & failed to pay agreed compo. They store customer details without permission. At least you got an apology! #optusguy
-
Nick Burrough (@NickBurrough) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
@Optus Your website says “Reduced Service”. Technically I guess no service could be described as no service!
-
Adam Gwynne (@gwynne007) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
@JamiePandaram @dailytelegraph @ALeague @Foxtel Not the end of Rugby of course. Doubt Optus can give enough money to keep SANZAR happy. RA and states go bankrupt, clubs establish new governing body. Our best players thus go overseas, money pours back down into club rugby to the point best remaining players earn a living wage.
-
Sardaar_huni (@Harmanj99145603) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
Very disappointed @Optus Poor connection in Blacktown, sydney. Since last October and this problem has not been dealt with. All i have got is compensating data , apologies or false assurity of fixing the problem. Loosing it now 😖
-
Dean Nye (@Dean_Nye) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
So @Optus are trying to charge me $50 for calling Air NZ after my flight got cancelled and I had no other option. When I call to enquire and complain they hang up on me. Happy Tuesday.
-
PaulieB (@bfgleb) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
@Optus I'm on my third day + of 0.20-0.25 mbps on my NBN at home - lodged an online complaint and tried contacting by online chat. Can someone please get in touch in the am.

@10NewsFirst @JohnMil37229625 Optus won’t even answer you’re call cyber attack. Time to go to a new Telco.I have been a customer for 30 yrs and they just don’t care .
-
Freddie (@SassFred) reported
@GourmetMale I think with the Optus issue it’s just so much identifying data all together. That’s what’s concerning me right now. But we have too many places requiring personal info. That is very true
-
Teefi C. (@TeefiCaranza) reported
Dear Optus, You better be paying for my licence and passport renewal. What a hassle. Yours, A Very Disappointed and Displeased Customer
-
normie rockwell (@egghaters) reported
the optus **** imo isn’t even really them being uniquely bad, they just seem to have been unlucky. as someone who’s worked IT in a few different industries i can tell you it’s generally this bad everywhere
-
Overlizard (@Aitch_El) reported
@mjrowland68 @BreakfastNews Ive heard nothing from them, but i was a default customer 2.5 yrs ago when VirginMobile switched to Optus. Optus must have my details since the handover. Not a peep from #Optus.
-
Sam Silvester (@SilvesterSJ) reported
@cameronwilson I haven’t been an @Optus customer for a decade or more and I got the notification. Omnishambles, I wasted an hour on the phone to them today and got absolutely no answers as to what has been leaked. I guess next step is stand in an Optus store until I get somewhere.
-
maddog (@maddog32367930) reported
@hughriminton @10NewsFirst My partner called #optus to pay out the last remaining device payments so they can move on. The man who spoke to her was rude and seemed to take it personally. He then cut off the service and the call hung up. My partner has no phone now Optus cancelled the service. SOS Only.
-
Lescure 🇫🇷 (@Rlesc1) reported
@slsandpet I wouldn't recommend Optus to anyone now, I left because of poor service at least a decade ago. The old saying you get what you pay for is ringing now
-
alliages de tuyaux (@doritoeubanks) reported
@oneplanetmikey @JanB_QLD @joshgnosis No - not true. Third-party companies do the KYC, they keep this data encrypted securely. Optus only have this data because they offered a service to store this for customers with promises of security. I don’t know why anybody would take this offer, but it seems many did.
