Dear @Optus it’s been a good 25 years. But, you’re testing us on our changeover to @NBN_Australia Still no internet & 3 no show tech appointments to connect our FTTC so far. Tired of waiting for a tech who never turns up. Now considering what other options are available to us 😕

I was trying to change my network provider and was trying to do so on a day before the cyberattack but my user experience to do it was pretty bad, and I opt to stay with Optus. Bad timing. Definitely will change to something else soon.

@noplaceforsheep My issue is not the hack (from Optus’ point if view, but why hold ID data once its verified? Should not be permitted

  • ChristyDanFan Dan Fan Girl 🤓 Go Dan!🤘🏽🥰 (@ChristyDanFan) reported

Is Neil Mitchell going to blame Dan for the issues with Optus? Perhaps he should! He blames Dan for everything else. Anything to wind up his gullible Illinformed brainwashed listeners.

  • Gozzaoz Grant 1972 (@Gozzaoz) reported

@HailMarxism It was know when I was a maintenance engineer for Optus, that we were referred to as ABO's. Air Breathing Overheads. Furthermore in an effort to reduce maintenance costs further we were told routine maintenance checks never prevented faults. Goes to attitude to problem prevention

  • Lazy_Bari_Sax Eric Smith (@Lazy_Bari_Sax) reported

I was last an Optus customer on about 2005. Received an email about their unsecured data today. Wild times.

  • adammonline AdamM (@adammonline) reported

@drvyom I haven't heard anything from Optus directly. That doesn't mean anything except they haven't contacted me. I don't trust their security or their competence. Any Optus customer has to assume all of our data is now in the public domain.

  • Kargs84 Matt Karger. (@Kargs84) reported

@rebeccagoodway @Optus I havent been a customer for a while, but I got an email from Optus last night.

  • addingtonbare1 PAddingtonbare1 (@addingtonbare1) reported

I've never known a better reason to switch to Optus, than when the people who have lied constantly to us for years , try to convince me of otherwise.

  • kelaher Jeremy (@kelaher) reported

@domknight @Optus Indeed. All about police investigative powers, poorly framed legislation to facilitate it and then eventual abuse of data that as you say was never needed in the first place for the most part. That said - SIM cards sold to more than those that have MyGov account, eg visitors.

  • RunicRiot Rune - survived crxaus (@RunicRiot) reported

@Optus not only are you making us pay our bills despite our information being stolen, I'm being charged twice in the same month?? Disgusting treatment of your customer base...
