Dear @Optus it’s been a good 25 years. But, you’re testing us on our changeover to @NBN_Australia Still no internet & 3 no show tech appointments to connect our FTTC so far. Tired of waiting for a tech who never turns up. Now considering what other options are available to us 😕

Is Optus providing a way for customers to easily identify if they were part of the breach? I was a customer about 15 years ago, how far back are we talking?

  • MrAnthropology Rich Stroffolino (@MrAnthropology) reported

The Optus breach illustrates the different views on personal data in the US & Australia. Australians can get a new driver's license number & government is pushing privacy changes to help banks monitor for fraud. T-Mobile breach was a $350m fine and you got credit monitoring

  • krishhutd Krishhutd (@krishhutd) reported

Stan sport is genuinely the worst streaming platform itw, give the rights back to optus ffs

  • le16464535 Bee (@le16464535) reported

@VictorDominello But this two lock system is now back to a one lock system for those thousands of Optus customers who have had there DL leaked?? We have 50% less security thanks to Optus’ stuff up and service nsw unwilling to issue new DL #? 🫤 I’m not reassured!

  • bmkpolar Brendan (@bmkpolar) reported

@Jonatho43827873 @PoliBard I call bullshit. I think Optus quickly paid the ransom and kept it on the down low. Anything after is just noise. How they going to really catch something through the dark web?

  • MHortonAndrews Horton & Ruse (@MHortonAndrews) reported

Dear Corporate Australia, I get that @Optus had a very large data breach. You don't ALL need to write to suggest I take steps to protect my data. It is not responsive or customer centric. It is reactive herd behaviour to be seen to do something. #enough #horsehasbolted

  • angieb49 Angie Briggs (@angieb49) reported

@ReddieNews @YouTube Greed!! Disgusting, those Optus customer already have had enough to deal with.

  • marksy12 💧Marksy☔️ (@marksy12) reported

@ServiceNSW @trashpandarella In theory that sounds good. Today Optus advised me that as I live in the ACT my licence wasn’t compromised. I have never lived in the ACT.

  • PostingGeneral real halo lore facts (@PostingGeneral) reported

Optus 4G pull down 1-3 mbit in some areas and .5 in others. Optus 5G non existent. Friend on Telstra can get 20 mbit on 5G in some parts and 3G in others. Apartment wifi gets around 10 mbit in some places but 1 mbit at the TV so can’t stream anything on it lol.

  • Kylie51052759 KD (@Kylie51052759) reported

@StevenSiller @KobieThatcher Now, as to the benevolence or otherwise of a government, yes, we must rigorously protest & hold govt to account for our privacy. The notion that a 1st consideration post Optus breach is to share d/lic nums with banks is ridiculous. Telcos shd NEVER collect our doc nums at all.
