Grant Dewberry (@BigunitGrant) reported from Hervey Bay, QueenslandDear @Optus it’s been a good 25 years. But, you’re testing us on our changeover to @NBN_Australia Still no internet & 3 no show tech appointments to connect our FTTC so far. Tired of waiting for a tech who never turns up. Now considering what other options are available to us 😕

René A (@Rene_AAG) reported@FranMooMoo This is not Starlink "beating" Optus. Instead, Starlink is providing the satellite infrastructure that allows Optus to offer a more comprehensive service to its customers, particularly those in remote areas who have historically been underserved by traditional mobile networks.

💜⚡️🦄 manda 🦄🐨🦘💚💛 (@aussieV8girl) reported@Teh_Jkr @Optus Look into new customer deals… If you find one that suits cancel your current plan and sign up with a new one. Loyalty gets you nowhere with them OR Telstra they’ve done the same.

John Harrison 🇦🇺 🦘 (@JH_Otway_Ranges) reported@FranMooMoo I use Optus 5G on my phone with 500gb of data and that feeds my computers indoors, TV etc and it is super fast, up to 350mbs. only problem is they have stuff all 5G towers and most are still 4G only, they just wont upgrade them, I'm in a good area with a good signal.

Chicken Little (@Chicky_Think) reportedSomehow today, the models (sonnet, optus, haiku) are not working properly or very slow. It even reply me in Chinese 好的 when all conversations are in English. Omg. The only working model seems to be fable 5. Anything happening in the background @claudeai?

The Trend Trader (@SixG369) reportedAI helped me save $270 a year tonight. Not by doing anything fancy. It just helped me survive the telco maze. The Optus bill started at $251.30/month. After a long support chat, it dropped to $228.80/month. That is $22.50/month saved. $270/year. The real win was not the discount. The real win was AI helping me: - Ask better questions - Check the maths - Avoid payout traps - Push past the first “best offer” - Get the final number confirmed in writing They first offered a small plan downgrade. Then we asked about loyalty. Then retention. Then the numbers did not add up. AI spotted the issue. One plan change had not actually been processed. So, we pushed again. Final result: Old bill: $251.30/month New bill: $228.80/month Yearly saving: $270 AI did not magically save me money. It just stopped me from giving up while the telco maze tried to win. Next target: Telstra internet.

Francis McF (@FrancisMcF1O) reportedIf Telstra vanished tomorrow, half the country would lose mobile service. If Optus or Vodafone vanished… most regional users wouldn’t notice. That’s the imbalance.

Francis McF (@FrancisMcF1O) reportedTelstra MVNOs ████████████ (higher cost) Optus MVNOs ██████░░░░░░ (mid-range) Vodafone MVNOs ████░░░░░░░░ (cheapest) Conclusion: We pay more because only one network actually works.
