Reetu Mutti (@ReetuMutti) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales
.@TPG_Telecom Trying to port my TPG no from TPG’s Optus to Vodaphone network. Spent countless hrs calling helpdesk every day, talked to supervisiors, waited days for engineers to investigate. Been waiting 20 DAYS, still not working. This is ridiculous. Fix this!!
-
Alan Hill (@ajhill_alan) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales
@perthovalman @kevinperry @TheWorldGame @SBS @ALeague @premierleague @Craig_Foster @LucyZelic A cash-strapped FTA network does its best but has no hope of competing with Foxtel (itself scaling back football coverage in the face of its own financial woes) and Optus. I'd blame the government before pointing a finger at SBS.

@carlagrossetti (@carlagrossetti) reported from Maitland, State of New South Wales
@Optus Thanks Nard. What causes an outage that only affects webmail?
-
Michael (@michaelread1) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales
@optus can’t call me and I can’t call them because I don’t have either a business or a personal line. Maybe this is a blessing in disguise. Do we have any options that don’t leak peoples private data to randoms in Australia? How absolutely incompetent and stupid.
-
Thomas McKenna (@tmacca_1996) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales
@Optus @7mate take your ads off appearing as every second one! I will never use your service due to this. Biggest pet peeve, waste of money on your marketing side #idiots #advertising

Nick Williams (@nickintheworld) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales
@a_choros **** Telstra, marry Vodafone, kill Optus... Truth be told I’d prefer to kill Telstra while screaming **** you and have an ongoing FWB with Vodafone and just leave Optus alone
-
Oz. Pro Choice! (@ozziewiltshire) reported from Raymond Terrace, State of New South Wales

Sophie Pearse (@SophiePearse) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales
I’ve phoned @Optus customer service 3 days in a row and you’ve YET to rectify this issue, despite advising you have. This is incredibly poor form, deplorable in fact 😡
-
Owen Mansfield (@MansfieldOwen) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

-
Michael (@michaelread1) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales
Optus then decided after over 90 mins of explaining myself multiple times to different people on chat, I’d need to wait for a call. That call happened, it was from the wrong department. So they had to transfer me. After 2 hours I got some help. “So what can we do today?” 🤯
-
Carol Duncan (@carolduncan) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales
@joshgnosis I’e tweeted Optus for help/advice, tried online chat twice … nothing.

-
Michael (@michaelread1) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales
My name isn’t Andrew. But thanks to @optus I have access to his full name, home address, email address, passwords, contact number, credit card details and other random bits of information. My situation isn’t solved, and now if I was a bad guy, Andrew’s would have been ruined.
-
Mat and Kita Clarke (@KitaandMat) reported from Maitland, State of New South Wales
@OeterB @Fozbyte That's what I did! I'm an optus customer so it's included in my plan.

-
Sue Bursztynski (@SueBursztynski) reported
@_manin_black_ @slamup Never said it was. Just that you can quit Optus and STILL be affected.
-
Bradley Stanton (@GreensBradley) reported
@suzannelolsenau Optus had a major security breach. Not individual customers. Customer data provided to Optus at signup and via their ‘secure’ systems were stolen. You could have 20 home security virus checkers but would make no difference. This is NOT user fault. It is completely on OPTUS.
-
Peter Stephens (@PeterSt96220356) reported
@MFWitches @Optus Not helpful when you haven't been an Optus customer for over 10 years and your data still has been compromised
-
Jud (@Jud26157974) reported
@not_aldous @RichardKGrump @TPG_Telecom Thanks.good to kno...optus r quite rude
-
Baz (@bazmorganzx) reported
lol @optus you have to be the worst ******* provider why do I never get service
-
Dwight Walker (@dwightwalker) reported
government should force @optus to clean its act up re #security on its servers and apps because obviously with #databreach they are incompetent or arrogant - threaten to deregister company unless they audit their entire network for security holes and patch them urgently
-
𝔊𝔯𝔞𝔫𝔡𝔞𝔩𝔣 (@AenesidemusOZ) reported
Ex IT contractor with Optus. “Left hand / Right hand” is a very real problem with them. Everybody is compartmentalised and sharing operational (what works and what doesn’t) information between departments is a big no-no.
-
Not Aldous (@not_aldous) reported
@Jud26157974 @RichardKGrump @TPG_Telecom They do use Optus’ signal but, no, they’re entirely separate companies.
-
Dylan Lindgren (@dylanlindgren) reported
@clothedvillainy @GordyPls @dawnstarau I've done it countless times. If medicare, license, passport are collected, Optus must feel the subscriber can't be identified without them. E.g. how are you going to do a credit check, or chase down a bill payment for "John Smith" if a name is all you know about them.
-
Tone Deff (@itstoneee) reported
What is @Optus doing to help me transition to a new number. I also have a premium paid number from Vodafone.. so what now?
