    optus in damage control tonight this is why i never go with big tech companies anymore they all have big issues always some sort of data breaches going on, slow internet speeds/outages due to high congestion (cvc).

    @yaakov_h @Asher_Wolf Yep. That's why I went and bought my phone outright at officeworks. Optus Insisted as an existing customer the only way to pay was direct debit either bank or CC. I've paid in advance via BPay for 5+ years.

    @Asher_Wolf WTF were all those identifiers doing in 1 place fully linked? Optus.. we haven't linked Customer bank details or passwords Me.. no freeking need, ID fraud is a breeze, 100 pts all together in one place & I never reuse passwords I feel so comforted (NOT)

    @OAICgov @Optus Where ******** are the penalties for the C-suite? How is this not an existential threat for a company that mishandles the security of PII? I say this as a CISO. Regulations and regulators need teeth. Make Australian companies scared shitless of mishandling PII. Of leaking data.
