Paddy (@Dabatsau) reported@7NewsMelbourne But you still have to go with an Aus provider as they own the leases on the spectrum it uses and are the only ones to provide service in buildings and high density areas. Optus & Telstra already can provide sms via starlink with calls and data in a few years. So no - the major telcos are not under threat.

Before anyone comes after me, vodafone went down for several months in 2010/2011, optus had a data breach in 2022 that affected nearly 10 million customers. Telstra just inconvenienced people.

JD 73, IQ 71, JH 65... OS is his third worst ground and WC are his 4th worst team to play against. Houston at OS 2025, 52 2023, 66 2022, 47 I dunno 🤷

And Yes after the Optus problems the Labor Minister for Communication put in place to hopefully fix the problem. Calling for government to leave is a bridge too far. It will take time to fix. Both said “5G Fixed Wireless not available at your address.” He checked a cell tower map anyway. Half a dozen towers within a couple km. Thelonlykid (@thelonlykid) reported@Optus @itsallTag So I don’t get I got 5G on my phone when the test came through even though that there is currently an outouge on my closest network tower and I am only receiving 1 bar of 4G because of the outage of that area tower so it doesn’t make sense to me towers also need to be fixed irl
