If @optus have ceased complying with Govt requests, Govt should consider amendments to either the Telecommunications Act or even the Corporations Act. Propose that Treasurer @JEChalmers be given powers to appoint emergency directors to Optus. TI #WhackThem

@morrisd3_dm @joshgnosis the fundamental problem, however, is that Optus was allowed to require unnecessary documents for new account holders AND kept copies of those documents on a server AND kept that server connected to the internet. The breach was inevitable and the basic problem needs to be fixed.

@AnaT800 If 10hrs on chat support with radio silence AND then having your clear, direct question ignored is "good communication", then I guess @Optus felt that they were good with security as well!!
