I’ve phoned @Optus customer service 3 days in a row and you’ve YET to rectify this issue, despite advising you have. This is incredibly poor form, deplorable in fact 😡

  • carlagrossetti
@carlagrossetti (@carlagrossetti) reported from Maitland, New South Wales

@Optus Thanks Nard. What causes an outage that only affects webmail?

  • michaelread1
Michael (@michaelread1) reported from Newcastle, New South Wales

@optus can’t call me and I can’t call them because I don’t have either a business or a personal line. Maybe this is a blessing in disguise. Do we have any options that don’t leak peoples private data to randoms in Australia? How absolutely incompetent and stupid.

  • KitaandMat
Mat and Kita Clarke (@KitaandMat) reported from Maitland, New South Wales

@OeterB @Fozbyte That's what I did! I'm an optus customer so it's included in my plan.

Michael (@michaelread1) reported from Newcastle, New South Wales

My name isn’t Andrew. But thanks to @optus I have access to his full name, home address, email address, passwords, contact number, credit card details and other random bits of information. My situation isn’t solved, and now if I was a bad guy, Andrew’s would have been ruined.

  • ShaneNatalie
Shane N. Thompson (@ShaneNatalie) reported from Newcastle, New South Wales

@Optus hello, I received spam email this week claiming to be Optus & confirming that I had increased my laptop data usage with Optus. I never increased my data usage. Can you now confirm with me that my laptop/mobile plan hasn’t been changed? Thanks.

  • siobhan_curran
Siobhan Curran (@siobhan_curran) reported from Newcastle, New South Wales

As an @optus customer I haven’t received any correspondence regarding the data breach and have no idea if my data has been compromised.

  • ozziewiltshire
Oz. Pro Choice! (@ozziewiltshire) reported from Raymond Terrace, New South Wales

@madameshawshank @PringPhillip Love is blind... and stupid evidently. Career straight down the **** chute, although I high paying gig at optus is 2nd best I suppose.

  • ReetuMutti
Reetu Mutti (@ReetuMutti) reported from Newcastle, New South Wales

.@TPG_Telecom Trying to port my TPG no from TPG’s Optus to Vodaphone network. Spent countless hrs calling helpdesk every day, talked to supervisiors, waited days for engineers to investigate. Been waiting 20 DAYS, still not working. This is ridiculous. Fix this!!

  • carolduncan
Carol Duncan (@carolduncan) reported from Newcastle, New South Wales

@joshgnosis I’e tweeted Optus for help/advice, tried online chat twice … nothing.

  • michaelread1
Michael (@michaelread1) reported from Newcastle, New South Wales

Optus then decided after over 90 mins of explaining myself multiple times to different people on chat, I’d need to wait for a call. That call happened, it was from the wrong department. So they had to transfer me. After 2 hours I got some help. “So what can we do today?” 🤯

  • gjblue
Greg Blue (@gjblue) reported from Newcastle, New South Wales

@Hillysfarms @Telstra I reckon telstra coverage in metro areas is third after optus and Vodafone, its terrible here in Newcastle

  • MansfieldOwen
Owen Mansfield (@MansfieldOwen) reported from Newcastle, New South Wales

@Optus Worst service I’ve ever recommend. Have been trying to connect NBN. No one in your call centres seem to know what to do.

  • mediahunter
Craig Wilson (@mediahunter) reported from Newcastle, New South Wales

    @CouchNish I can't even watch it. Optus issues. 😡

  • tmacca_1996
Thomas McKenna (@tmacca_1996) reported from Newcastle, New South Wales

@Optus @7mate take your ads off appearing as every second one! I will never use your service due to this. Biggest pet peeve, waste of money on your marketing side #idiots #advertising

  • ajhill_alan
Alan Hill (@ajhill_alan) reported from Newcastle, New South Wales

@perthovalman @kevinperry @TheWorldGame @SBS @ALeague @premierleague @Craig_Foster @LucyZelic A cash-strapped FTA network does its best but has no hope of competing with Foxtel (itself scaling back football coverage in the face of its own financial woes) and Optus. I'd blame the government before pointing a finger at SBS.

  • nickintheworld
Nick Williams (@nickintheworld) reported from Newcastle, New South Wales

@a_choros **** Telstra, marry Vodafone, kill Optus... Truth be told I’d prefer to kill Telstra while screaming **** you and have an ongoing FWB with Vodafone and just leave Optus alone

@alex_prompter The problem is Fable isn't actually worth using. Optus ultra is a better all rounder

  • DarthNucleus69
    Fat Blob (@DarthNucleus69) reported

@JordanTHFCFFC Freo is in trouble anyway. They need Brisbane in the 1/4 game so they can beat them at Optus. If they play anywhere else Brisbanes big game players will win it so they need to hope someone can knock the lions off

  • heidiponting
    HP🪆 (@heidiponting) reported

Optus stadium grass is horrible #afleagleslions

  • ev_downunder
    EVDownunder (@ev_downunder) reported

@strangebaaza @RjeyTech Well, I beg to differ. My previous fold 4, S22 ultra, fold 6, the current fold 7 and s26 ultra all had or have green line screen issues while my iPhone 12 pro, iPhone 14 pro max and 16 pro max still going strong, no issues whatsoever. All cost pretty much the same but Samsung quality is subpar, and service is shite. I still ordered the fold 8 as currently it is available for $0 via Optus Harvey Norman Australia. Bet you, it will also likely have this screen issue. No matter what Samsung does, somehow manages to create overpriced paperweights.

  • RCT_10

Why ******** am I not at optus

  • satoshigoy
    Satoshi Goy (@satoshigoy) reported

@Optus Thanks, but that doesn’t address what actually happened. I was in the emergency broadcast area with a compatible device. There was no Optus coverage, but there was coverage from another network. Despite that, I never received the AusAlert. If emergency alerts can’t be delivered when your carrier is unavailable, even though another network is in range, that’s a significant issue. In an emergency, people shouldn’t miss life-saving warnings because of which carrier they’re with. Can you clarify whether AusAlerts are expected to be delivered in this scenario, or is this a limitation of the current system?

@james00000001 @Schtang Optus is not the problem! It's individual users and their settings.

  • warcroft
    Mr J (@warcroft) reported

@TimjboAU Remember a week ago when the entire telstea network went down? Remember a month before that when the entire optus/tpg network went down? Now next week we have the entire network government alert thing happening? Yeah, those network outages were 100% preparation for next week.

  • Theofatcat

I’m wondering if Telstra Optus etc will cope on Monday 27th when all the emergency services etc are planned to be delivered to phones
