Hi Optus, where can I send my invoice to Optus for days lost, ADSL was meant to be transferred on the 18th Jan. ADSL connection was activated on 19th Feb. The connection has been running at 2mbs. An Optus technician was booked last week to check the line. They said the issue was

  • tiges_rule Susan Luber (@tiges_rule) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Just when I thought @Optus was finally doing right by me their inept customer service staff had to go wreck everything again. Guess I’ll be changing mobile providers.

  • TheNotoriousNJW 🅽 🅹 🆆 (@TheNotoriousNJW) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Optus This is still a major issue. At peak hours we get glacial speeds where even loading a Twitter feed is problematic. The coverage map is not correct for the area at the end of collins street in Melbourne around 750. Was never an issue before. Something has changed.

  • G1NCHY g1nchy 🌏 (@G1NCHY) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@jendudley You forgot to @Telstra and @NBN_Australia. I don't feel so bad now, at least @optus replied to my tweets.

  • AdamTho88718953 Adam Thompson (@AdamTho88718953) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Optus I really don’t know why we pay for this crap. Get screwed around during week and changed which I had to ring up because my internet wasn’t working, no one would have informed that my plan got changed or whatever.

  • RandzyBirb Bird 🅱️⭕️ℹ️ (@RandzyBirb) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Optus your 4g home internet is shit, latency through the roof and super inconsistent. Plus your technical support is no help 😡😡😡😡

  • AdamTho88718953 Adam Thompson (@AdamTho88718953) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Optus then i to top it off ever since my adsl2+, got changed I have had 6 drop outs this weekend lucky if it stays on for 1-2 hours this is a disgrace. Then I’ll end up on no bloody network which I’m guessing it will be WORSE.!!!!

  • timewaster2000 Mark Gambino 🗿 (@timewaster2000) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

It pays to shop around for @NBN_Australia products, even if you’re on contract. I may pay a cancellation fee to sever my @Optus ADSL service, but the zero install fee and lower monthly cost of another company will see me ~$50 better off over 24 months, plus enjoy faster speeds.

  • Paul_Coniglio Paul_In_Melb (@Paul_Coniglio) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@cooksey_ben @Optus Ben we are in 3195 and our cable net down too. Colleague in parkdale reporting no mobile phone coverage on Optus either in 3195.

  • jiawhoo cheah (@jiawhoo) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Optus hello 👋 why is it so hard to reach optus, called twice with no return calls:( I received my nbn & router yesterday morning but the nbn has been blinking the whole day. Need help!

  • abcoathup Andrew B Coathup (@abcoathup) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Optus Hi, I tried phoning 131344 to report from my mobile but the signal dropped out. Still no phone line or internet.

  • nonspecialist Colin Panisset (@nonspecialist) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@mipearson They had a cable outage at our place. My ticket got merged with someone else’s somehow, and I’ve spent the past 2 weeks telling Optus when they call me that they have the wrong number for a call I didn’t open. My issue did get resolved, but I bet that other customer is cranky

  • tiges_rule Susan Luber (@tiges_rule) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Optus And I have spoken to nbnco themselves and they have confirmed that you are flat out lying to me. The times available depend on the provider NOT the nbn. Further proving how bad the customer service at Optus has been.

  • mattdarveniza Matt (@mattdarveniza) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@mipearson My Optus DSL has been dropping PPPoE auth and DNS once every couple of hours for the last few months and I haven’t tried to fix it because I know contacting Optus about it is such a ***********.

  • AdamTho88718953 Adam Thompson (@AdamTho88718953) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Optus thanks for waiting my afternoon so now a technician needs to come out cause AGAIN THE DAMN SERVICE DOES NOT WORK! And oh apparently my landline number has changed but AGAIN NO ONE FGGGGGKING TELLS YOU ANYTHING. Like my plan got changed and now my fggking landline FGGGGK!!!

  • daamon_parker Daamon Parker (@daamon_parker) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@mark_barbs @iiNet Ditch them mate. I was on @iiNet and had loads of issues and was just met with bureaucratic “help”. Got nowhere - wasted my time. For the same monthly price with @Optus went from 2Mb/s (at best) to 30Mb/s consistently.

  • tiges_rule Susan Luber (@tiges_rule) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Optus has the worst customer service ever. I tried to organise nbn through their online chat and they flat out lied to me in order to get my business.

  • abcoathup Andrew B Coathup (@abcoathup) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Optus Mobile reception is poor. Will deal with it tomorrow.

  • corneliusJK Corné Kloppers (@corneliusJK) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Optus can you please help me activating my 4g plus modem i picked up this morning! Very frustrating as I would like to use it at home and get no response from technical support, phone or chat . Please help

  • roadrunner83_ Roadrunner83 (@roadrunner83_) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@heart_explodes @Optus Sounds like the issue I had. Apart from the one text I didn't get anything... I find the best way is to be all to Optus over phone. Webchat nothing seems to be done

  • notrosethorne Peter Rawsthorne (@notrosethorne) reported

@trevorlong @margokingston1 @Optus I'm a current optus customer. Hadn't heard anything. Went on the online chat. Took 2 hours to respond and tell me my data wasn't exposed. Don't know if I believe them.

  • eoghanmurf Eoghan Murphy (@eoghanmurf) reported

Hi @Optus, myOptus app support have told me "I can see that your account has been flagged as being impacted by the cyberattack.....If you don’t hear from us, it means that your driver’s licence doesn’t need to be changed." Is that the best you can do? Wait, worry and........

  • BernardSheppard Bernard Sheppard (@BernardSheppard) reported

@trevorlong @danwarne @Optus I expect to get mine as part of the resolution of my TIO complaint that I raised when I was informed that since the expiry date on the licence information stored in Optus's systems was in the past, I was not at risk of Identity theft, so wouldn't be getting a code.

  • brencarruthers Bren (@brencarruthers) reported

I've now received more advice from a BNPL company that I've never used than I have from Optus Seriously considering terminating my contract early. **** these guys

  • _Virusman_ Cyber guy (@_Virusman_) reported

@BreachAware I have been concerned about the big players like #optus for some time. The breach showed bot sloppy cyber practices and data retention issues. Hope others learn from this.

  • jayemmdubblu Jase W (@jayemmdubblu) reported

Remember when the worst thing Optus ever did was lose a satellite?! #OptusHack

  • QuentinDempster Quentin Dempster (@QuentinDempster) reported

Optus “deeply sorry”. Telstra hopes it won’t happen to its customers. Understood. But the biggest issue for all Australian telephony users whose privacy/ID is now a criminally tradeable commodity: when will @AusFedPolice lay charges? C’mon Commissioner Reece Kershaw, brief us.

  • Boatyboy1 Boatyboy (@Boatyboy1) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Eva_Lishus @Cindy1Miss @Optus Have a look at Amaysim. Uses Optus network, but much cheaper. Although it is 13x 28 day bills per year.

  • LeroyLouis10 Ivy (@LeroyLouis10) reported

@alexspring @Optus They have an outage in our area but their TECHNICAL SUPPORT don't know about it. They told me to pay my bill which is 2 DAYS OVERDUE. Useless indeed. And not secure ... hello Telstra.

  • VikTechGeek Vik (@VikTechGeek) reported

@ClareONeilMP is correct...our laws are sh*t and need to be changed. That does not help the 9+ million @Optus customers whose PII was give away by the mental giants at @Optus - CEO and CIO are accountable. They have to go.
