@timburrowes Most email services that Optus would be using or have the ability to use can easily handle that volume of emails. Amazon Web Services sells SES (Simple Email Service) that is very cheap and scales considerably.

@Optus I had two wireless broadband plans and as soon as I terminate one my speeds slow to under 1mb/s. Been two weeks with no solution from your tech support.

A week later and still no resolution. Just infuriating comments from people on the Optus messaging service who have clearly not read the case notes. @Optus you need to fix this…

Nothing like spending your spare time in an @Optus store because the customer service call centre are so inefficient & haven’t cancelled two numbers, one dating back to October 2017, despite being asked to on more than 2 occasions. $120 p/m charges need to be reimbursed, too.

So, @Optus put up my phone bill because 'inflation', but has done nothing about my complaint about having no coverage many times over the past 4 months. I guess it's back to @Telstra for me, but I don't hold out much hope it will be better. Duopolies suck.

@NJGalea @Optus I had so many problems with them when I signed up. Never again. I'll take my chances with the clowns at Telstra rather than this mob again.

@bentsolutionsau @ripcripz @jasonjordan I think any Optus customers should be allowed to cancel their contracts, due to Optus showing they don't handle data correctly, as it's not a fix they can do overnight. Customers will continue to be at risk.
-
Ian Ridgwell
(@IanHRidgwell) reported
@travishoughton @danilic The answer would normally be yes but your alternatives arent much better. The problem is systemic, the gvernment is making a lot of noise about optus being held accountable because the data retention requirements mean this will keep happening.

@mjrowland68 @BreakfastNews I’m still under contract with Optus for another 15 months, they did not keep their side of the deal by keeping my info safe, why should I keep my end of the deal. Also I moved recently to Optus because of the shocking service I had with Telstra. Can’t win

@tanner_lian @Optus And a data retention problem. I presume they had the data because they collect all the ID for opening accounts etc. And they probs keep it because it's too much work to store, manage and dispose of it properly. Is my guess, anyway
