@Optus I called Technical Support and they told me that the engineers are working in the issue. I wish that the Optus outages webpage was actually kept up to date when something is wrong, but it’s basically a static page. It never gets updated with issues.

@Optus Again, you haven't really said why my colleague should reach out to the social media team over the proper support channels. If you have some sort of greater power than the front line people answering the phones then that is bonkers.

@optus you’ve charged me $529 dollars for @Foxtel since being a customer of Optus Vision since 1996 Standalone Foxtel installation fee $329 Foxtel STB Replacement Gee $100 and IQ2 $100 this is disgusting when 3 times the fee was waived and your discontinuing Foxtel

Update: almost 1 ½ hours later at 1am I get an impolite call back from a rude lady who says there’s an outage, can’t provide a reason or an ETA for a fix, didn’t apologise, and didn’t help. ‘No’ @Optus.

Never had Optus or Telstra. More reasons not to. Australian monopolies duopolies triopolies need to be ended. Astonishing that Australia has ONLY 2-4 companies in almost every field - telecommunications, retail, aviation, entertainment, TV etc..foreign brands rule here.

After much time and angst we work out he is talking about the emerg mobile modem that Optus sent me, not a phone and not something that I got in store with ID. Phew. He says he will look at and fix my orig issue, if not escalate. But I thought they were already escalated?

Most recent @optus update:Someone (new guy) ran me on the phone yday about 'my' prepaid phone that wasn't working. I was confused. He said it had to have been set up in a store with photo ID. I was even more confused because this has never happened. Now I'm worried about IDfraud.
