    @helphelpandhelp It's the fact that Optus KEPT all the personal info, even of ex-customers. WTF were they doing with licence and passport numbers well after the 100 point check had been done. WHY?

    I had to renew my driver's license during covid, so they did it without a new photo. In 2030 when it expires, I'll be 51 using a licence with a photo of a 31 year old on it. If I was an Optus customer maybe I could have gotten a new photo taken :(

    @RichardKGrump @TPG_Telecom I’m with Aussie Broadband and have no complaints. They use the Optus network but only give Optus your mobile number, SIM card ID, and date of birth. No data leak by Optus. Australian help desk with people that are more than script jockeys. Excellent internet also.

    I have decided to never be an @Optus customer again.

    @MeganTheOracle @uwerealwaysfree Its all I could see in my head. Shaggy carrying scooby asking if the bad OPTUS man is hiding in the dark

  • 427_Impala Megan ((Abortion is Healthcare)) (@427_Impala) reported

    @KG_SPN I was in the queue on the Optus app messaging service for 3hr20min until I got connected. Wanted to check because I have heard ZERO from them. If my license and Medicare details are out there I will get those replaced. May call banks and get an extra security question in place.

    @misullivan @SenPaterson @Birmo When I was a teacher we had to archive proof of competency for seven years too. The real problem here is Optus leaving the back door open.

  • yaetsumu kyris/fox || TOBIO 📌 (@yaetsumu) reported

    most likely in a year will there start being illegal **** considering optus only gave us a 12 month subscription to some ****** website that also makes us use an id points system (which is how the data got stolen in the first place) we can luckily change medicare number tho

  • axelated Lute (@axelated) reported

    @SenPaterson @Birmo I paid for my passport the other times. I still have 5 years on it. I didn’t lose it. Optus gifted the information to others, so OPTUS should pay to fix the mess they created.

  • axelated Lute (@axelated) reported

    @ajmckenna @SenPaterson @Birmo They work hard to make every problem a Labor drama. Optus fkd up, so Optus has to foot the bill. They have enough in the kitty, no doubt. The money they should have invested in securing our data should still be around somewhere, if nobody lined their own pockets with it, surely??

  • misullivan Michelle Sullivan (@misullivan) reported

    @CampbellMander1 @SenPaterson @Birmo Scenario: I get an Optus SIM card, I commit fraud/scam over the SIM, 24 hours later I cancel my service and return the SIM.. few weeks later police investigate complaints... Get the reason why “regulatory requirements “...?
