So the answer to the @Optus breach by @VicRoads is to issue everyone a second card, effectively 2 CARD # FACTOR AUTHORISATION which will need to later be quoted to companies needing license info. Looking forward to the day I have a full deck of License cards. #OptusDataBreach

@KalliopiOlympou Hi Weerona, so that we are on the same page, are you facing issues with your Optus home internet connection or streaming the match in general? As we are not broadcasting the FIFA World cup anymore. We don't have the broadcasting rights. If your internet is working fine and it is a streaming issue then you will have to contact SBS or the broadcaster. On the other hand if your are facing issues with your Optus home internet connection, then please send us a direct message with the details to proceed. Kartik

Here is the kicker. I was there b/c my father has Parkinson and border line Dementia which Abu knew at 383 George St. Abu tried to get the attention of the manager who was with a customer along with another Optus colleague and he brushed Abu away without even acknowledging Abu. Being also brushed off angrily by the guy at World Trade Square (witnessed by another angry customer) and had not opened the store at required time only shows Optus has a serious cultural problem which I’m sure Ben Fordam at 2GB will find interesting tomorrow when I email him.

AI helped me save $270 a year tonight. Not by doing anything fancy. It just helped me survive the telco maze. The Optus bill started at $251.30/month. After a long support chat, it dropped to $228.80/month. That is $22.50/month saved. $270/year. The real win was not the discount. The real win was AI helping me: - Ask better questions - Check the maths - Avoid payout traps - Push past the first “best offer” - Get the final number confirmed in writing They first offered a small plan downgrade. Then we asked about loyalty. Then retention. Then the numbers did not add up. AI spotted the issue. One plan change had not actually been processed. So, we pushed again. Final result: Old bill: $251.30/month New bill: $228.80/month Yearly saving: $270 AI did not magically save me money. It just stopped me from giving up while the telco maze tried to win. Next target: Telstra internet.

Just tried to call @VodafoneAU to find out why my SIM card flicked between No Service and SOS and intermittently on 5G. I tried to call and it from an Optus network phone and the message, "Optus wishes to advise that the number you have called is not connected". That number, the Vodafone Australia 1300 number

@billdogan Hey Bill, it's not good to hear you're experiencing different internet speeds on your devices. When it comes to reception, Optus is constantly upgrading our network to provide better coverage. However, multiple factors can affect this, such as your hardware capabilities, software update, the building materials used in your home, and other signal blocking objects in your area. I have also checked your address from our end, and it looks like we haven't had any reported mobile network issues in this area. Please send us a DM with your full-service address, so we can investigate further. -Enku

@whoisDarkPrince Man I hope we can make it to Kyoto. I felt like such an idiot without mobile internet but just assumed Optus would work there. The culture is Japan is just so much better than the West!!!

@Teh_Jkr @Optus The more data is irrelevant. You cost more to service, they have to put prices up

@Teh_Jkr @Optus Optus is the worst service provider. I switched to spintel. 3x cheaper , same network.

If Telstra vanished tomorrow, half the country would lose mobile service. If Optus or Vodafone vanished… most regional users wouldn’t notice. That’s the imbalance.
