@ItsImogenGreene I've had the same issues but I'm with Telstra. I had no texts from Telstra customers and then 2 months later I had no texts from optus customers.

@sussanley Cant remember you being so outspoken when Service NSW had a massive data breach 18 months ago. Personal information stolen, people like me needing to change Licence Nos, change multiple passwords etc. etc. Optus failed to protect their clients personal info as dud Service NSW.

Wouldn't you be spewing if you were one of the cats spamming the ever-living crap out of every Australian mobile number with fake shipping links and such to try and phish us, when Optus was just serving up PII like that? I'd be so pissed, never getting the time wasted back

@GordyPls Really, I think the only thing people can do is vote with their feet/money. And I believe the other telcos will learn from optus & never let the same happen to them.

@LorrainePenn044 @Optus It’s just not good enough that they expect so much from us and offer so little in return. I do believe there has been an issue with their payment system and yet they are only concerned with hassling me with threatening fees. Disgraceful.

@AggieAnnaS @cooten9009 @patrickkeneally Reports are that Optus failed spectacularly by failing to encrypt our data at rest, and then copied or exposed that data to a non-production network that was accessible via the internet. The “hack” was merely someone finding and downloading it.
