@Optus @RunnerSA18 Amazing that your response to this is a pinned tweet, in response to a customer asking a question. You didn’t notify your customers (who you have the phone numbers of) but instead went to the news. I still haven’t been contacted by Optus. Maybe you will respond to the TIO

@NewtonMark I hope @Optus get sued to bankruptcy. No company should be this bad at protecting data!

In the last week or so, I’ve been getting 4-5 spam calls per day. Previously they happened once a month or so. Wonder if it’s got to do with me being an Optus customer and their massive data breach… which I’m still waiting to hear if I’m a part of

eg. "If we don't need to fix our systems so that we can enter new markets, then why bother? It's not like we're going to get in trouble for it." I'll put a lot of money on Optus walking away from this with no repercussions, no fines or any motivation to be better going forward.

@9NewsAdel Agreed, haven't heard boo from @Optus A simple text or email to say there has been an issue impacting our customers and we are investigating wouldn't have been hard

@Optus why do you keep details of past customer details? Why do you apparently keep payment details more secure than customers names etc.? #optusfail

@9NewsMelb You know what’s funny, I haven’t been told NOTHING from Optus. Pretty piss poor that I found out via social media. Not a good look @Optus especially when I started receiving scam texts yesterday. Time to look at moving to @Telstra I think

@Optus @Trevor12371105 You operate a phone network @Optus so why not send out a mass SMS together with emails and mobile app messages to customers? It’s absolutely shocking this customer data was stolen, but the response so far is even worse.
