@EVERALDATLARGE Agree Everald. Yes there was a system fault, and yes 000 Failed. And Yes after the Optus problems the Labor Minister for Communication put in place to hopefully fix the problem. Calling for government to leave is a bridge too far. It will take time to fix. It’s not down every day

@therevaknight Because of Government incompetence, they had no simple backup system, they made NO allowances for technological failure, complexity is the enemy of reliable; the reliability issue was known (ref previous OPTUS outage). NO REDUNDANCY for critical infrastructure! @heidimur

@Woodygocats59 @TonyShepherd4 Once again I refer you back to the Optus outage where everybody including the government and Optus thought the 000 service was functioning but it was found to still be out of action several hours later. And the government minister was AWOL again. A couple of hours can save lives.

@Markedw But WCE aren't going to be playing. If you want that feeling, just hang around Optus ..... much cheaper 🤭

@amagickeagle999 Listen up ********. She's not expected to run it. She is expected as the responsible minister to oversee the regulatory framework and take the necessary legislative steps to protect consumers and ensure service standards are maintained. She promised tougher oversight after the two Optus outages last year and has done nothing, **** all. Over 600 triple 0 calls failed, lives at serious risk let alone the economic damage. Get it through your thick skull - She dropped the ball.

@mdtlion She sounds more like a Telstra public relations officer, than the Communications Minister. Maybe she’s grifting for a future job with them. I noticed the little dig she made at Optus by mentioning a previous issue they had had in the past, but totally relevant to today’s issues.

@AnikaWells Anika Wells has done it again. She let the aged care system down; now she’s let down her new Portfolio Communications. Optus first, now Telstra. She interrupted her holidays l wonder how much taxpayers paid for this holiday.

@SkyNewsAust quote: "Ms Wells previously attracted criticism for an international trip amid the fallout of a major triple-zero outage involving Optus".. and that travel rort thing that we are supposed to have forgotten about....
