-
Susanna (@suessaints) reported from Melbourne, Victoria@vicroads please change your rules re licence replacement. Optus customers should not have to wait for a fraud to occur to be allowed to change their driver’s licences! It’s bad enough to have the data breach. @DanielAndrewsMP @Optus 1/2
-
@kelseyvh (@kelseyvh) reported from Melbourne, VictoriaHey @Optus I’m having nbn service issues. Your online messaging service is not responding. You network status page says “under investigation” and has said that for three days. I’ve sent you a DM but no response there either.
-
Stanleysmum (Sharon) (@Stanleysmum1) reported from Melbourne, Victoria@somewherein84 Or insta! I saw a woman yesterday who blamed Dan for Penny Wong requesting Optus pay for the replacement passports etc 🤯I shouldn't have lowered myself to her level but I couldn't help myself

-
Tejashree Kangutkar (@DrTejashreeK) reported from Melbourne, Victoria@Optus doesn't protect your data, they lock you in contracts, they don't pay for your passports in an event of #cyberattack, they abandon their customers. I would rather trust a pigeon over @Optus as my service provider of communication #OptusHack #OptusDataBreach
-
Karan White 🌱 (@karan_white_) reported from Melbourne, Victoria@mjrowland68 @BreakfastNews I'm an @Optus customer, but not for much longer. Haven't had any additional comms beyond the initial email.
-
Adam Jobbins (@ajobbins) reported from Melbourne, Victoria@seemsforever Yeah, I've been the information risk owner of large, externally facing systems like this and it's the nightmare situation. But reading how the hack was done, it's crazy that Optus didn't know about this vulnerability, or if they did and didn't fix it....😬
-
B (@Brodhe) reported from Melbourne, VictoriaIf you are, or if you hypothetically would have been, an Optus customer, how worried about the data breach are you?
-
*Cindy N* 🤔✨4️⃣🦠💉 (@cindyn) reported from Melbourne, VictoriaAnyone else see the irony in @Optus calling their in market plans “Choice Plus” and *reducing* the number of ways to pay (no bpay, which I use to manage cash flow )… meaning LESS CHOICE?! I’ve been a customer for 20 years, this could be the thing that makes me jump. Not cool.
-
Justin Jones (@justinjonesblog) reported from Melbourne, Victoria@BenSmee @Optus I was in this boat a few months back. After rebooting my router numerous times, they booked a NBN technician to come and have a look. And then I found reset button on my NBN box and it fixed the problem. I’ve since added Optus Technician to my resume.
-
troiboi 🤨 (@Troiboi) reported from Melbourne, VictoriaAnyone else got the new #AppleWatch and having no end of trouble trying to set cellular up? @Optus no help. @Telstra seemingly the same. Lots of threads talking about the issues. Why can they not solve? #apple #iPhone14ProMax

-
Cooper Everywhere All At Once 🧑🏼💻 (@CooperCodes) reported from Melbourne, Victoria@Amata_georgeii @Optus The number isn’t so much of an issue, it’s the rest of the information that got leaked. I’m changing because this is the second security breach they’ve had and this one is exceptionally bad.
-

Optus Issues Reports
Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:
-
Ferdie Khnopff (@FKhnopff) reported@Democracy_Duck @ABCmediawatch Are you suggesting giving the network back to public ownership? To an organisation like NBN where rejects from Telstra & Optus go to work? (Including Telstra's so-called risk management 'experts' BTW) With ACMA keeping an eye on things?
-
Ladybugfunk (@ladybugfunk) reported@JacintaAllanMP Wasn’t Anika Smells supposed to put something in place in the case of such scenarios after the Optus outage? The fault for this lies with Labor
-
Aberrant Gentile (@AberrantGentile) reported@nemagovau If i receive the alert on the phones i had to replace because they couldn't call one number on one network that i don't use, "000" on Voda network. Then i want those phones imei numbers reinstated on the Telstra & Optus, that i have sims for. The public/private partnership scam
-
Goldy (@ozgoldfish) reported@me_dc And it was totally free this World Cup! Paying for Optus was **** last time
-

-
James One 😷 (@james00000001) reported@jilldlovinglife @Dempsey57Jackie Yeah seems to be no correlation to carrier, not an Optus problem
-
Ancient Tiger (@TigerAncient) reported@TonyShepherd4 As the shadow minister for emergency communications it is great she tested the system. It was supposed to switch to another network (e.g. Telstra to Optus) in case of an outage of one of them. That didn't occur and she found a fault there. I expect my elected parliamentarians to test the systems they have a portfolio of. By the way, as soon as Teltra asked her not to test it again, she stopped. Good try there, though, but again, you landed well short of common sense.
-
saint_ted (@saint_ted3) reported@david89293299 Where was the communications minister moron? Some one needed to step up and actually test it! Not like the the bungled Optus uggrade where the 000 outage went unnoticed for hours. Smart and proactive! Not something you Labtards would know anything about
-
Lucy Graham (@montrosegraham) reported@OMGTheMess It only happened recently with Optus. Anika Wells didn’t fix it, did she?
-
ARTCvan 🍉 (@ARTCvan) reported@Naymmm_ @stupidtechtakes you said "**** optus they killed my Xiaomi 15 from connecting to optus networks" Which was what i was referring to... at no point did i attempt to make reference to the optus outage in my comment Which i thought was clear enough but
