@CatPurry9 @southwin28 Time to bring Govt under the even stronger rules particularly with all the so called security issues the Aust Govt deals with - Until yesterday I was unaware they were excluded. If hackers can get to Medibank & Optus... we will just have to refuse to hand 100 point IDs to anyone

@ClareONeilMP How long will vulnerabilities stay unfixed if hackers know there's no point telling the org, but they can still sell the data (including new incoming customer info) to 3rd parties? Especially while companies like Optus leave the door wide open.

@PaulMaric @Optus @Telstra well you are totally wrong, sorry. anything online is vunerable to a breach. and shockingly a large network will take time to investigate. "Like I said, nobody is immune to a data breach" you have repeatedly said it COULD have been, not COULDN'T.

I think @Optus got off so lightly with that data breach. Every current customer should have *at least* been given a discount off their next bill for the anxiety it caused.

Oh, my buddy who had his details (incl passport number) exposed in the Optus hack? NOT EVEN HIS PASSPORT NUMBER. Could be why he had so much trouble getting them to sort it, but anyway, another case of absolute clown shoes.

@Kanga561 Majority of my details have changed since then luckily but it's bloody stressful isn't it. I hope you don't get too much trouble from it. It's absolutely bullshit. I had it happen with optus, now this. It's beyond a joke.
