I understand why Optus had to do this, and if you're a customer it's a price increase that most people can absorb. But the reality is it's just getting more and more expensive to be a football person in Australia and the cost is continually being borne by the little guy.

@OptusSport upping fees while still showing ads through games so they can pay for the Women's World Cup, which no one is interested in. You have to be kidding right? I put up with ads when getting it as part of my optus phone service. There is NO WAY I'm paying for this garbage

@jonzey0 @VinceRugari Given my experience with Optus billing there's going to be a crap-ton of credits refunded to accounts during September and October as people realise. Competence in billing isn't their strong suit.

@OptusSport When i pay for a subscription service they're kind enough to remove the advertising, instead optus charge me for it, and make it unskippable! And the stream performance is unreliable and low quality.

@VinceRugari If you’re an Optus customer, then it may appear reasonable but if you’re not, then $25/month is far from reasonable for basically just the Premier League
