    home affairs and its predecessor departments have been trying to assemble a depository of biometric data on every Australian using Optus/Medibank to again push the idea that they should oversee a natl database of biometric data. when that’s stolen, there’s no undoing the damage.

    OPTUS, now they have got in bed with the Banks with Direct Debit which is BAD for you. The banks taking control of another area of your life. You can no longer pay cash.

    Well, @Optus has gone from "small mistake with large impact" (incorrectly deactivating my current SIM while I was overseas) to "Incorrect and expensive advice", as the "Free" support number I was told to call has probably hit $100 in phone charges today.

    @DanielAndrewsMP Glad sanity is prevailing about utility assets. They utilities should never ever have privatised. Total false economy and now the chickens have come home to roost re energy and other privatised utilities. Think Medibank, Optus. They don’t have people at the centre.

    Anyone else stand at a window with their phone dangling out to get better 4G like it’s the 80s and I’m trying to get a clearer TV signal? Or am I the only one left on Optus?
