    @FreeRangeEggs Your bank knows if you’re an Optus customer and they know if you’re a fraud target. But there are impediments to them helping you if Optus can’t share data.

    Loosening privacy laws to help deal with the fallout of a massive telco hack is very much on brand for Australian legislative "cyber security" If only Optus was mandated to retain more sensitive info, then it'd be much easier to work out who was hacked

    I suspect @Optus has about the worst customer service when you want to cancel an account. Website takes you in circles and you end up on hold for who knows how long. What happened to this once great carrier. Telstra looks like getting my business after nearly 30 years

    @MRowlandMP @JEChalmers What about the Transport For NSW (Services NSW) data breach that caused untold grief yet noone was told for two years. After the damage was already done. Never told what documents compromised other than drivers license. The Optus breach might have been avoided.
