I just received a txt from @Optus saying they are upgrading the network and I may experience some disruption. Given the @Telstra outage, they should really reconsider this.

@Optus are the worst telco on the planet. You’d think that after over 30 years of loyalty they’d be willing to negotiate a compromise and maybe even a little leniency to someone in financial hardship, but no. They don’t care. It’s all about the money. Stay away from @Optus

Back when Optus went down I was a Telstra customer. I moved over to amaysim which is Optus, and now the Big T has gone down. #winning

@MickamiousG @Starlink When starlink finally get their mobile plans into Australia Telstra will be done within 2 years...one of Vodafone and Optus will survive as a budget telco, but people won't be paying Telstra prices for dogshit service

@GenVavancee Given the time the outage happened it probably was some form of maintenance and a routing error happened. They happen all the time but much like Optus this was a big one.

@clarkes I don't think it's 4G specifically that causes the issue, it's that we have one major mobile network operator, and two others. Between them they don't provide comprehensive coverage across the country because of our sheer size. And they don't play together. Except Optus & TPG

@YoiksAndAway @Optus @Telstra Absolutely. Management that place personal greed above service should not be in service industries, and those who endanger lives for personal gain should not be at liberty.

@jmil400 Where was the communications minister moron? Some one needed to step up and actually test it! Not like the the bungled Optus uggrade where the 000 outage went unnoticed for hours. Smart and proactive! Not something you Labtards would know anything about

@MikeCarlton01 @Telstra That would be vodafone followed by optus and then telstra. Before anyone comes after me, vodafone went down for several months in 2010/2011, optus had a data breach in 2022 that affected nearly 10 million customers. Telstra just inconvenienced people.
