Hey @Optus you’re not making it easy for me to stay with you. Data hack. Now you’ve changed my monthly mobile data from 69GB to 19GB with no notice. Customer for 20 years but reckon this might be it…

  • Barefootnurse1
The Barefoot Nurse (@Barefootnurse1) reported from Melbourne, Victoria

When Optus was hacked, state governments were quick to offer support for victims with new ID, nothing for Medicare customers, why the difference in response? The support from Medicare at this point has been pathetic. #thedrum

  • PetraElliott
Time Traveller then/now (@PetraElliott) reported from Melbourne, Victoria

@davenlamb Yep. Same wording. Granted i haven’t been a customer of optus in just shy of 20 years. So I wouldn’t be on a current mailing list. But my date of birth and phone number hasn’t changed in that time and I obviously can’t change/get a new DOB. It’s just super poor form overall

@OptusSport I’ve been trying for weeks to contact you regarding my subscription - calls don’t work as their Optus not Optus Sport (found annoying after 2 1 hour calls) & I’ve raised 3 cases now - 2 of which closed without resolution & 1 is pending open for days now! Please help!

@somewherein84 Or insta! I saw a woman yesterday who blamed Dan for Penny Wong requesting Optus pay for the replacement passports etc 🤯I shouldn't have lowered myself to her level but I couldn't help myself

  • scousehelen
Scouse Helen(Helen Drinoczky) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (@scousehelen) reported from Melbourne, Victoria

@OptusSport Streaming issues are stopping me watch the LFC game. I pay for Optus Fetch ONLY to watch LFC games live. NOT happy with Optus especially as the cost has got up too.

@Optus hey!! My internet isn’t working from the past 3hrs and this is such a serious issue! My whole job is dependent on my internet connectivity!! Would it resume anytime soon? Location: Cranbourne West, VIC-3977 #Optusoutage #Melbourne

  • RudiEdsall

I may have had all my personal data stolen being an Optus customer, but at least I get one bar of 4G reception in a cafe in Brunswick

@Optus my friend has the worst reception in Elsternwick Victoria and her NBN isn't working. She can't call because of the non existent reception. Are there any outages in that area?

  • supremeturnip
Matt (@supremeturnip) reported from Melbourne, Victoria

@Optus My expectations you would help were low. Mainly posted as a warning to potential new customers of Optus so they know to stay away. In the absence of your helping in the multiple avenues of inquiry I’ll be passing to the TIO (since this includes potential over billing for 2 years)

  • Bunba
Julie-Anne Adams (@Bunba) reported from Melbourne, Victoria

@Optus I'm a 30 year customer!!! I want to resolve things today!! And speak to someone in AUSTRALIA!! Not Philippines

  • AuspiciousTimes
Claire 包玉思🏅🥈🥇🥉🥇🥇🥉🥇💉💉💉 (@AuspiciousTimes) reported from Melbourne, Victoria

Biggest surprise about @Optus disaster is they had customers. Poor support, woeful service. I took them to ombudsman twice about 11/12 years ago. They couldn't re-establish my phone connections for TWO MONTHS despite a simple word in code change as a fix. #PayCompensationOptus

  • justinjonesblog
Justin Jones (@justinjonesblog) reported from Melbourne, Victoria

@BenSmee @Optus I was in this boat a few months back. After rebooting my router numerous times, they booked a NBN technician to come and have a look. And then I found reset button on my NBN box and it fixed the problem. I’ve since added Optus Technician to my resume.

  • nlarkin_photo

  • nick_komo
Niko (@nick_komo) reported from Melbourne, Victoria

@MrXBob @Matt92644813 @9NewsMelb Hmm i would of thought CEOs on the big bucks had some influence into important decisions. Anyway you are getting a bit too aggressive for a non optus customer. So move on 🙋 #OptusHack

  • kidkerrigan
Nina Nikolic 💫 Kerri (@kidkerrigan) reported

@DeadSlugg @Aussie_BB 🫠 from Telstra to Optus to internode to iinet to Aussie bb but honestly you’re probably right if the don’t get their stuff together. It always starts the same, then you see the customer service start to deteriorate, then the service. Who are you with now?

  • Defiantclient2
    Kevin Chen (@Defiantclient2) reported

@antti_engineer @Telstra Signal strength is logarithmic. An additional 3 dBm can be a big difference. @Optus, a partner of Starlink, is claiming that the -115 dBm level is essentially unusable. And there are live measurements where Starlink hovers slightly above and below that number. Also, just look at the measurement in your own app there. The -112 dBm is about bordering going dark red and your own app describes -112 dBm as "Poor".

  • jagjetfly
    jagjetfly 🐎🐎 (@jagjetfly) reported

@johnkanga @RacingPedigrees Sometimes it just comes down to the provider in the area. I use Amaysim and never had a problem at country tracks, they use Optus network.

  • DavidHorrocks1
    David Horrocks (@DavidHorrocks1) reported

@optus_help My mobile broadband internet in Eagleby is struggling at 0.21 mb per sec. I can’t even check network on Optus app. Poor internet is regular in my area. Is there any possibility that one day Wireless might be available?

  • moresunshine_1
    John Cas (@moresunshine_1) reported

@OMGTheMess The problem is, if the Libs got in whilst that program was being rolled out: today's batteries would be replaced with traditional car batteries, older inverters would be used, they pull ye ol optus cable and repurpose it for electrical wiring. Solar replaced with wind etc...
