@chrissmithonair Like you and others I also want Optus to do the right thing Remember they were hacked (broken into & info stolen) they didn't sell or share it They should have taken more care, but you now want them to hand over private information to government without concent

@grbradbury That would mean legislative requirements being amended and there is a very strong chance this will happen. Optus were required (by law) to retain the information.......BUT the information should have been kept secure; this is Optus' problem.

  • Philssay Question (@Philssay) reported

Marles said on insiders that optus treat personal info as an asset. What about ID required for mygov or centerlink. The network of private information ,bank accounts, medical and addresses that they have. Why is it OK for the govt to have All this data but not optus.

  • jimmywill Jimmy (@jimmywill) reported

Hey @Optus is it normal for your support chat people to ignore customers. I'm sending chats regarding my issue and they are being read and I'm receiving zero replys. Have been in the chat for over and hour now.

  • BamTennie 🌹TennieBam🖤 (@BamTennie) reported

Oh actually, I think I will time how long it takes at Dept of Transport and then send @Optus the bill of me having to waste time away from work because of their blatant disregard for safe betting customer identification.

@WAFLOfficial I’d never have it at Optus. Atmosphere is much better at a local ground. Send it the WACA when’s it’s redeveloped.

  • brockhenry BrockHenry.**** (@brockhenry) reported

Going to help my neighbour with his @OptusSport account problems. Optus need the good karma right about now.

  • WeTheVoters2013 Observer 🔎 of all matters topical 🕵️🇦🇺🌏 (@WeTheVoters2013) reported

@randlight Optus main problem is not that it retained ID documents, most big businesss do, but the fact they didn't keep this information secure. Can't understand why this information needs to be retained after a person's ID has been confirmed. I think the govt is going to do something.
