  • GT_AUS Graeme T (he/him)💉x 4😷 - 🌳🌲🌴🌵 (@GT_AUS) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@RichardKGrump Couple of IT peeps on RN just a moment ago. Of opinion real internal system problems given what Optus has said. 🤔 Real = should NOT have happened as a result of poor system/s.

  • chrisjackis Chris Jack (@chrisjackis) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

If laughable that @PeterDutton_MP suggests the #OptusDataBreach is a problem for the government. It’s an Optus issue about a breach in Optus customer data. Let Optus sort things out and investigate first. #auspol

  • bcurrall80 Blake Currall (@bcurrall80) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@gomikestevens @Optus As a current Optus customer, I am still yet to receive any correspondence from them about this colossal **** up

  • pat_norman Pat Norman (@pat_norman) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

My partner got the email from Optus and my jaw hit the floor reading it. “Don’t worry the network is fine…but your drivers licence, date of birth, name, email, and phone number have all been compromised”. I can’t think of a *worse* possible breach.

  • stinger881 Stinger881 (@stinger881) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Optus @RunnerSA18 Why did you not encrypt the customer data table in Teradata? Kelly Bayer Rosmarin is not fit to be CEO. Her track record with the Banking Royal commission at CBA proves she is absolutely incompetent, along with Ian Narev!

  • BJssoR Ben Ross (@BJssoR) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@empressbat @trevorlong @Optus I can’t wait to leave them to be honest. Worst of days when they cancelled manual payment on hills

  • NoNotChris My Name Is Christian. (@NoNotChris) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

    Seriously Optus?! WTF!

  • GT_AUS Graeme T (he/him)💉x 4😷 - 🌳🌲🌴🌵 (@GT_AUS) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@wyvernsrose @sassycarrie From my years with them, dropped a few years ago, I have zero confidence Optus has any idea at all the extent of the hack. Utterly incompetent at customer service, technical support, the lot.👎😡🤬

  • just_brash Justin Brash 🏳️‍🌈🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🇦🇺🍸📷🐱 (@just_brash) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Current & former Optus customers have had their data stolen. It begs the question, why does Optus keep former customer’s data? #optusfail

  • GT_AUS Graeme T (he/him)💉x 4😷 - 🌳🌲🌴🌵 (@GT_AUS) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@CaraMia200 @strangerous10 Has any @Optus customer on here received any direct communication from them yet?

  • Rebeccagillmor4 Rebecca gillmore (@Rebeccagillmor4) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Not sure whats happening or the phone Tower work in my area but I have been having some problems my 5g has been out for hour or less for 4 nights now... #optus

  • GT_AUS Graeme T (he/him)💉x 4😷 - 🌳🌲🌴🌵 (@GT_AUS) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@aparachick @anna_prole @JustJul77588855 Can't speak for Aussie but TPG own network. Anybody know, do the piggyback players simply use Optus infrastructure but maintain client data on their own system/s.🤔🤔

  • wheelyweb Joe Ortenzi 🇨🇦 🇮🇹 🇦🇺 (@wheelyweb) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@craigthomler @stilgherrian If I understand it right it’s an Optus CUSTOMER human error or an Optus EMPLOYEE human error. Either way, it’s an Optus company problem and responsibility.

  • FlyOpineMonkey Sir Darryl Adams (@FlyOpineMonkey) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@AbstractCode @NewtonMark @Optus To be fair, they have a female CEO to issue apologies and polish the **** the board and company have created.

  • just_brash Justin Brash 🏳️‍🌈🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🇦🇺🍸📷🐱 (@just_brash) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@southwin28 @Optus I’m still waiting but have discovered Vodafone has a better offer. If Optus wants to keep me as a customer they will now have to match Vodafone

  • IaenCordell Iaen Cordell (@IaenCordell) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@send2mc @trevorlong Yes, I also am having Optus email issues. No point ringing up as the lines are already blocked up with people worried about the data breach, remember don’t shoot the messenger even if they are in a OS call centre.

  • miracleboi Alex Dennis🏳️‍🌈🇦🇺 (@miracleboi) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Optus I have tried to call your call centre re the hack to see if my info being a former customer and my mum's account still being an active customer was compromised but your call centre is closed. This shouldn't be the case and a dedicated team/number should be available 24/7

  • miracleboi Alex Dennis🏳️‍🌈🇦🇺 (@miracleboi) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Optus Yes I get that but it does state on your FAQ's regarding the situation to call and that's the issue - you can't which is absolutely poor performance. Can you confirm when contact will occur as in how many days or weeks till I potentially find out being a former customer?

  • just_brash Justin Brash 🏳️‍🌈🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🇦🇺🍸📷🐱 (@just_brash) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@hammocklyfe @Optus I’m a current customer. But might not be by the end of the day.

  • lfsleigh Lucia (@lfsleigh) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

In the last week or so, I’ve been getting 4-5 spam calls per day. Previously they happened once a month or so. Wonder if it’s got to do with me being an Optus customer and their massive data breach… which I’m still waiting to hear if I’m a part of

@Optus Do you have a number to call for support from outside Australia?

  • pattyjansen Patty Jansen NOT a Quiet Australian! (@pattyjansen) reported

While it sucks big ***** that this happens, there is literally ZERO evidence that Optus has anything to do with it. What data was involved? Licence and passport *numbers* Not passwords. Or security questions.

  • debraweddall Debra Weddall (@debraweddall) reported

@sallyrugg @Optus I spent 3 hours conversing with Optus to find out why my internet and phone service is intermittent when I pay extra for high speed connection and live in a suburb close to the city! Three hours and no answers!

  • craigrlonard Craig (@craigrlonard) reported

@JP__75 @GladysB @DanielAndrewsMP Gladys stepped down and went to Optus. Gee that went well for them.

  • davcon2412 Rachel (@davcon2412) reported

Melbourne family loses $40k from suspected identity theft after Optus data breach Cleary obvious that this owners cafe is in trouble how dumb can a person be. Have extra security in place and owning a business check yr bank accounts daily dumb & stupid this clown is after $’s

  • TheNeedtoRead Eleanor Limprecht (@TheNeedtoRead) reported

Using my phone to pay for something today and the guy behind me says: "You're brave." "Why?" "Everyone's taken their cards off of their phones since Optus and Telstra were hacked." Thanks bro. Also, why say brave when you mean stupid?

  • Adam_Goldman Adam (@Adam_Goldman) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Hey @optus you’ve just advised of your 6th upgrade for our area in the past 2 months. To increase the speed of the network. No speed increase so far, just a lot of interruption. Please do better.

  • JohnBB40921542 JohnBB (@JohnBB40921542) reported

@theage @lachieabbott HowTF has the government allowed this to happen? SURELY if you are an optus customer, that detail should have been sent to all banks etal, to ensure passport identification, or whatever TF it takes. Send the morons Labor to jail.

  • ARToffee14 AlexR (@ARToffee14) reported

@OptusSport your smart tv app and support is so poor. I have logged two support cases in 2 weeks reporting that on the LG TV the Optus Sports app has no playback controls for game replays. So you cannot pause, rewind or fast forward the content and it has not been fixed.

  • D_Evil_Overlord David the Evil Overlord (@D_Evil_Overlord) reported

@Optus you sent me a text saying I needed to pay $81 for my family's phone bill. We paid $81. The latest bill includes $15 in "service charges" because we paid the $81 you asked for, but it was $90 we owed. Not how you keep customers after your catastrophic data breach.
