@markahollands @Optus Yes. I checked the @Optus network status page and no mention. This is happening frequently in Russell Lea.

@RozChia I don’t have a choice. Optus doesn’t service this street. They service the street behind us and the streets at either end of ours, but not this one. Was with Telstra 1987-2008* and moved bc they’re useless. Turns out Optus is too but had to come back to Telstra when we came here

  • DjuroSen Djuro Sen (@DjuroSen) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@MConallin @Optus @amazon @geteero Hey Murray definitely wait if you want 5G. If you get the current 11 - you’ll be stuck with 4G. Still fast but it won’t be able to access the 5G service.

  • BeauGiles Beau (@BeauGiles) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@FantaRising Telstra / Optus / Voda changed the way they do plans, now it’s just the outright phone price split over 12/24/36 months, and you pay for the phone plan separately - but you can move the phone plan bit up and down as you need data

  • petenowakowski Pete Nowakowski (@petenowakowski) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Optus Thanks but to be honest, after four phone calls with an average hold time of 1.5hrs, three appointments booked where no one turned up, and no resolution clearly set out, I'll be considering taking my business elsewhere over the coming days. Thanks

  • DebCansdell 💧 Deb Cansdell 🌱 (@DebCansdell) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@rubin_angela @MinhKular Optus are just as bad. 94 year old MIL was dying. Found her unpaid mobile bill. Only way to pay was our credit card to pay $ owing. Have sent them her death certificate but 6 months later, they are STILL billing our credit card for her mobile phone contract!

  • Jogi432 kavya Sharma (@Jogi432) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Optus hi your finace team is unreachable. Need to talk about bill and every one around me is facing a same problem. You guys immediately need to suspend the collections for this month

  • Matthew_James72 Matthew James (@Matthew_James72) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@optus Hi, are you guy's having problems with email tonight? Email service is only working on a very limited basis, but mostly not able to login at all.

  • SirJS Joseph (@SirJS) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Great customer service from @optus, who are miles ahead from @telstra when it comes to online customer support.

  • Hazaa84 Harry Dinis (@Hazaa84) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

    @StavrosKaltsos @Optus @Telstra I’ve done that before. Doesn’t help

  • Dan_M75 Dan (@Dan_M75) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@clkz0r @kilcarnup Use the ABB address checker - you may be one of the new HFC users who can get 250mbps down. Then you’ll be inundated with ABB users giving you their referral codes for $50 credit each. (I’m on ABB FTTC and it shits on Optus Cable’s 2mbps upload cap, I’m getting 95/20 24/7).

  • NickArkoudis Nick Arkoudis (@NickArkoudis) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

I have never ever dealt with a more incompetent & poor service business like @Optus in my life. You can’t make up some of the mistakes these people make

  • beerboy182 BEERBOY (@beerboy182) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@GusWorland I could be wrong. But that possibly gets left like that especially in those leafy areas after storms have brought down non dangerous voltage lines. There’s one near by house from the Optus cable I had to tie up still taped from the February super storms

  • JakePorritt Jake P (@JakePorritt) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@RSBayliss @OptusSport Can we have nothing but LUFCon Optus for the next 24 hours? **** the rest

  • au_chrismor Chris Moran (Home Internet still borked) (@au_chrismor) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

So @optus are sending me a SIM for the wrong service. I spent 40 minutes trying to correct this, and now I have even less service than before.

  • c7campbell7 Caitlin Campbell (@c7campbell7) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Optus appalling customer service today. After trying to resolve a network issue for the past 6 months, I got offered a “discount” but was then told I would lose 20GB... that’s not a discount... that’s a downgrade #notimpressed

  • JVartndesign Julie Vaux (@JVartndesign) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@GillianPolack @SueBursztynski Im supposedly to have been moved from virgin to optus but I think a lot of providers and other orgs n businesses are having issues with being understaffed due to lockdowns

  • jensenoz John Jensen (@jensenoz) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Optus desperately trying to get help for my nbn hfc service that is currently offline. Nobody answering the phone and I can’t get logged into the app!!! HELP!!

  • petehanssens Peter Hanssens #BlackLivesMatter (@petehanssens) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Optus Ah yup, sorry my bad - i didn’t realize anything but the EPL was playing in England - thanks for the heads up :)

  • Hazaa84 Harry Dinis (@Hazaa84) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

I’m so over @Optus mobile service. Constant drop outs and poor reception. Can’t wait for my contract to finish to switch back to @Telstra

Optus Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • mssquiggs65 MsJayne *Wear a Mask* (@mssquiggs65) reported

@TorSamundsett @Optus Yeah its a bit **** apparently they are demanding 1 mill for the info Optus better pay

  • CharQwerty Less is more (@CharQwerty) reported

@BadCustSvc101 @NjbBari3 You can login to your Optus account and use the online chat function. Ask them to check which ID numbers they have for you.

  • BelcrediMarie milanobella (@BelcrediMarie) reported

So over 1m people's details are out there to be bought by by anyone. They say to change your password but how can this help against identity theft? DOB and address are now useless at establishing your identity #OptusDataBreach #OptusHack @optus

  • kristenglenist1 Dr. Kristen Glenister (views expressed are my own) (@kristenglenist1) reported

@Jeremy_Kirk My partner has been caught up in this, and has not been an Optus customer for several months!

  • GavinWakeupint1 Gavilarr 🍸☮️🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️🖤💛❤️ (@GavinWakeupint1) reported

So Optus still has not even contacted any customers regarding the security breach. I had to contact them instead to ask why?? They are apparently still in the process of contacting affected customers after how many days?? They have no problems issuing their bills however. #fail

  • OptusSportITGuy OptusSportsITGuy (@OptusSportITGuy) reported

@Optus data breech highlights how bad the situation in Australia is. Inconsistencies as to how states manage licenses. Time it takes to change other compromised id's. The general lack of understanding on dealing with such situations. @AlboMP needs to step in #AusPol #OptusHack

  • TechnovateSS Bryce Undy (@TechnovateSS) reported

@Jeremy_Kirk If what is being said is true, and as a solution architect I believe it looks very legitimate, then Optus had incredibly poor security practices. There should have been a system equivalent to login credentials and additional controls once accessing the data.

  • kayleen87686977 kay - 5th Estate Reporting for Duty (@kayleen87686977) reported

@ClareONeilMP Optus handling of this has been immature and laughable. Childish even to compare it to “data you would give facebook”. They are gaslighting and playing it down.

  • merekura Wiremu Parangi (@merekura) reported

@urbanfoodfarmer @marxdeane @Jeremy_Kirk Me too! Got mine Friday night- who the hell was I supposed to call to fix this? Ring the bank and cancel cards (and have no cash)? Like, wtf Optus, what the hell are we supposed to do???

  • KoparaFallsKid 💧Robyn D💉x4 Insufficiently Feminine (@KoparaFallsKid) reported

@MsPraxis Expected. People seem to forget there is a whole army out there trying to penetrate systems. I feel for the IT team at Optus, they'll be devastated. We live in a world where constant vigilance is never enough, sadly.
