Oh, but @triplej is far-less-national than I understood. Still a big chunk of this drive where neither broadcast radio or @optus signal penetrate.

@Headspinner496 @missrobinson Yeah, not ideal. Still cheaper than Optus I believe. I don’t have any problems with speed because I only have 4G out here and it’s horrendous. My Optus mobile broadband is even worse, falls over at peak times but phone internet still works.

@ProudLeftyHatr @AustralianCelt @SkyNewsAust Petal, those flights have been checked and passed by the parliamentary office. She had other flights booked, they were cancelled as Wells dealt with the Optus fall out. Last minute flights were secured. Acting like this has never happened before is just pathetic. Born yesterday?

@Teh_Jkr @Optus Look into new customer deals… If you find one that suits cancel your current plan and sign up with a new one. Loyalty gets you nowhere with them OR Telstra they’ve done the same.

@Telstra no internet or 5g in my area since very early Saturday morning, called up support and your support doesn’t even know there is a problem and can’t give general timeframe for a fix, beyond a joke @Optus might be getting some new customers very soon

🚨 SINGTEL CUTS CEO PAY AFTER MAJOR NETWORK OUTAGES. Singtel has cut CEO Yuen Kuan Moon’s pay after a year marked by high‑profile network failures in Singapore and Australia. The company’s annual report shows his compensation fell 16.9% to S$6.8 million for the financial year ending March 31. The reduction came even as Singtel posted stronger profits, reflecting the board’s push for accountability after outages disrupted emergency services and affected hundreds of thousands of users. The pay cut follows several serious incidents, including a 14‑hour Optus outage in Australia that hit Triple Zero emergency calls and back‑to‑back disruptions in Singapore that left about 600,000 customers offline. Regulators opened investigations, and Optus accepted all recommendations from an independent review. Singtel says it is focused on restoring trust, improving reliability, and strengthening its operations. The company remains confident about its broader outlook despite regional economic uncertainty.

@pelli_69 @Optus @Telstra I was with them for years, then went straight to Aussie Broadband! One of the many benefits is that it has Aussie call centres & tech support.
