  • DebCansdell 💧 Deb Cansdell 🌱 (@DebCansdell) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@rubin_angela @MinhKular Optus are just as bad. 94 year old MIL was dying. Found her unpaid mobile bill. Only way to pay was our credit card to pay $ owing. Have sent them her death certificate but 6 months later, they are STILL billing our credit card for her mobile phone contract!

  • medwards87 Matthew Edwards (@medwards87) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@benjya85 I’m Optus wifi and Woolies mobile (Telstra network) ... issues connecting to Prime, Netflix and Twitter on wifi, but no problem on 4g. Indicates issue with @Optus service ... but as usual, no acknowledgement from them as yet.

@Optus is a pain. Your internet sucks! I have been so patient all these days but today I gave up! #Optus #MobileBroadband

  • _MaverickGeorge G. 🌈❤️☮️ (@_MaverickGeorge) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Optus hi my nbn is down again this morning. You’re not showing any outages though. It’s becoming a bit of a joke - never know when it’s going to be working.

  • Stevenqoz Steven Quilty (@Stevenqoz) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

  • 4Qpolies David (@4Qpolies) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@mavsmum @dazza_double_u @Optus Yes! Their system goes down at least once or twice a month and yet they try to get you to adopt an App that is not even working, much like Optus!

  • _MaverickGeorge G. 🌈❤️☮️ (@_MaverickGeorge) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Optus @NinjaBinda Your app is atrocious. As are the ongoing service disruptions.

  • just_brash Justin Brash (@just_brash) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@iinet did it again. You canceled my service without warning twice in one month. I warned you I was going to join one of your competitors and this is my first tweet using @Optus. iiNet good bye, it’s been fun.

  • c7campbell7 Caitlin Campbell (@c7campbell7) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Optus appalling customer service today. After trying to resolve a network issue for the past 6 months, I got offered a “discount” but was then told I would lose 20GB... that’s not a discount... that’s a downgrade #notimpressed

  • Hazaa84 Harry Dinis (@Hazaa84) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

I’m so over @Optus mobile service. Constant drop outs and poor reception. Can’t wait for my contract to finish to switch back to @Telstra

  • ExpandALeague Expand the A-League (@ExpandALeague) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Optus sport are really stepping up, and stomping down that others mob you know the one that supposedly supports football 🦊

  • petenowakowski Pete Nowakowski (@petenowakowski) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Optus Thanks but to be honest, after four phone calls with an average hold time of 1.5hrs, three appointments booked where no one turned up, and no resolution clearly set out, I'll be considering taking my business elsewhere over the coming days. Thanks

Optus Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • Gozzaoz Grant 1972 (@Gozzaoz) reported

@HailMarxism It was know when I was a maintenance engineer for Optus, that we were referred to as ABO's. Air Breathing Overheads. Furthermore in an effort to reduce maintenance costs further we were told routine maintenance checks never prevented faults. Goes to attitude to problem prevention

  • wright64737577 L Wright (@wright64737577) reported

@allamac1 @RossFloate I would never trust MHR? And to learn that our Optus records have been kept for over a decade at least, is shocking. As ex-customers, we should have "the right to be forgotten" and info be deleted at our request like it is in the European Union.

  • GerardineTweets Gerardine Rudolphy (@GerardineTweets) reported

After some unbelievably bizarre and infuriating interactions with the @Optus bot and various agents over the lady 4 days, I was connected to Hamilton who knows the 101 of how to treat an upset customer... 1/2

  • GerardineTweets Gerardine Rudolphy (@GerardineTweets) reported

...he listened to me, answered questions as a human being, checked if what he'd done was what I wanted, if there was anything else and genuinely acknowledged my feelings. He knows it's not hard and he's saved your bacon Optus. You'd better hang on to him #thankyouhamilton 2/2

  • SpookyGoast Sp00ky Gh0st (@SpookyGoast) reported

@Optus Why would you sign up to Optus honestly. Even before this amateur data breach they had the worst customer service and inferior reception. 🚨🚨DO NOT SIGN UP WITH OPTUS🚨🚨

  • j2simpso James Simpson 5x💉 (@j2simpso) reported

@domknight @Optus We shouldn't need to confirm identity for something basic like telecoms. Why does identity need to be confirmed when taking out a prepaid service when you aren't using any credit facility?

  • JosephK_OK 😷JosephK 🕸🚪🇺🇦 (@JosephK_OK) reported

@JoshButler Obvious. The issue really is Optus' security. I updated my Optus pwd recently but it did not affect the app on my smart phone. Normally if you update your pwd online then you have to re activate the app with new password. Simple security procedure lacking at Optus. What else?

  • mused_7 Amused_peillon65 (@mused_7) reported

@mariewalsh18 Yes those dics. So pissed off, Only with them two friggin months. Optus, "We are sorry but no photo went just your number. whf.'I said so whats the diff, they can open a new licence with all other Id and their own pic. No, that can't happen. had to say bye before I lost me ****

  • DanHo61472457 Dan Ho (@DanHo61472457) reported

20 years ago I went to Bali I sadly remember this occasion for Bali bombing and Optus charging $500 for using a minuscule amount of wifi. The worst part was it wasn’t refunded and my children phones attracted the same cost.Needless to say I’ve been with Telstra since

  • samr6003 SamR 🌸 (@samr6003) reported

@deweycocks1 @3AWNeilMitchell So you propose all those innocent people who’ve had their IDs stolen through no fault of their own just suck it up because it’s an Optus problem ?
