Gee @VodafoneAU still can’t use my phone in at MIldura Centro. Phone shows SOS only while both Optus and Telstra have FULL signal in the shopping centre.

2/But it doesn't end there Optus, for an 'ordinary', healthy able person with time on their hands this hack would by very irritating but not as bad as it is for people like me. I am a 40 year old single mum with 2 invisible disalities. I live on a government pension.

For my circumstances, the optus breach couldn’t have happened at a better time. It got the whole country focussed on the bad idea of collecting id data and giving it to just anyone with zero care or oversight. Pity it wasn’t back in March though.

I'm not left with a situation that @Optus seems to be ok with, in receiving text messages that are for somebody else, with account information & Optus don't want to help me stop being spammed or help the person whose account is going to be disconnected #OptusDataBreach

@hughriminton @10NewsFirst And what about SIM reseller companies who used the #Optus network? Did they give Optus our details? Ie, #iinet used the Optus network until recently. Did they ever share customer data & ID’s with Optus?

@Optus I have been waiting since 7:40am yesterday to speak to someone from Optus and when I finally get through to someone they just put the phone down and didn’t say anything. I could still hear the. In the background but they wouldn’t respond

@manypossai @Optus This is all because the LNP ran the visa dept into the ground , then turn around and say look how bad this dept is going if it was in private hands we wouldnt have this problem . FFS thats what they tried with Aus Post till Christene Holgate turned the PO around .

@acmadotgov @Optus Perhaps I'll ask in a different way: Given that telcos can't be trusted to keep names and addresses private: Is there any way an Australian customer can acquire and activate a prepaid mobile service without providing a real name and address? (If I fake them, is that ok?)

Today I finally got somebody on chat who was willing to help, but in the end they said that it could only be fixed if I visited an Optus store. Of course my reply (which I had already stated) was I live overseas. The reply was to do it when I next visit Australia #OptusDataBreach

@Optus why is it so difficult for me to cancel my internet service? Have been trying since 4 pm yesterday to arrange the cancellation via the Chat in the App, as recommended whilst on hold!! Where they say that the Chat will get you a response without delay!! Yeah, right!!
