@tanya_plibersek @sunriseon7 I'm soooo angry Tanya. I'm an affected customer with id doc details involved. Aside from the initial email I have not heard anything more from @Optus. The lack of communication is infuriating.

  • 40dargus kคtȥ pօժąɾցմʂ🔥🐨 (@40dargus) reported

@ClareONeilMP NSW is not allowing victims of the Optus data leak to change drivers license unless you can prove you are a victim of a case of identity theft. By then it's too late & the damage has been done. Why aren't they allowing all those who were affected, to change their license? #auspol

  • DarkMatterzine DMZ: 😷 💉 💉 💉 💉 (@DarkMatterzine) reported

@morrisd3_dm @joshgnosis the fundamental problem, however, is that Optus was allowed to require unnecessary documents for new account holders AND kept copies of those documents on a server AND kept that server connected to the internet. The breach was inevitable and the basic problem needs to be fixed.

  • jodstar2000 Jody Crothers (@jodstar2000) reported from Westfield, State of Western Australia

@Optus I have spent hours on your help app. Conflicting message, SMS My data has been compromised, confirmed by the help desk. Ask for an email to confirm, was told my account hadn't be compromised, had to send screen shots of earlier messages twice to show you had told me I had

@grissomsladybug Spent the weekend trying to register with Equifax, nothing but problems. Went to the Optus shop today, told we can’t help you. I said I want that in writing. They helped me, now signed up for a year!

  • austcomment reality romance (@austcomment) reported

Optus be like: we’re deeply sorry our security was so **** and your data was stolen, here’s the nothing we’re going to do about it :(

  • morrisd3_dm Morabeets 🇺🇦 (@morrisd3_dm) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@DarkMatterzine @joshgnosis Even if the documents were necessary they should never have been placed in an insecure situation. If the API's access was exhaustive Optus was stuffed from the get go.

  • ChrisEgginton Chris Egginton (@ChrisEgginton) reported

@SallyLawry @karenandrewsmp Alas not fixable. The then Minister for Communications Fletcher lowered standards for security and here we are. Damage done. Optus and the former LNP government need to make a public apology to the customer base while they sue.

  • GeorgesStPaul1 💧Georges St Paul (@GeorgesStPaul1) reported

@hardenuppete @joshgnosis Has it ever been part of the Big Four business model to criticise the hand that feeds it? Never I suggest. An Optus/Deloitte joint workshopped response is the best we will get. Same with audits of government work. No anomalies ever found except by agreement?

@jurdman @Optus We were with optus for 20+ years.. Their customer service in recent years has taken an absolute dive...
