Watching the news I was reminded how in May I was on a road trip through country Victoria. I was given **** cause my phone didn’t have signal, and I had to beg to hotspot for a bit. “Just go with Optus” one said - well, I’m glad I ignored that advice and stayed with Vodafone🤭

@dailytelegraph I’m an Optus customer, I’m wondering if the credit rating system can be updated so it can be flagged, potential hack, contact customer! This could possibly prevent fraud? Not sure how this works….

@KateMannell Other brands on the optus network lease network space; Virgin did this originally (50/50 ownership Branson/Optus), but Optus bought the brand in 2012 and folded it and all its data into Optus storage at that time. O continued to operate V as a faux competitor until 2018-ish.

I’m glad I left Optus a long time ago. For me it was the terrible mobile reception where we used to live and it’s just worked out well in the long run.

@drvyom Nah it's more like; Hackers: give us customer data Optus: no "Leaves door unlocked and open with a note on where the data can be found in the house" Hackers: walk in and take data Optus: oh no I shouldn't have left that door open.... whoops.... we've been hacked

@AusOptus #OptusDataBreach #optusfail #optusbreach Singtel Singapore owns Optus, what is it doing to investigate just who of the mega paid IT staff in Australia are responsible for what is likely the worst data breach in Australia's history. The class action is appropriate.
