@EquifaxAU How about honouring the discount code provided by Optus for its impacted customers?… they have provided me with two different codes and none of them work on your website. I am sure ACCC and media will be very interested in this issue !

  • PeterPrincipas Peter Principas (@PeterPrincipas) reported

Optus just now advised of problem by sms, f it

  • StephenChoular1 Stephen Choularton (@StephenChoular1) reported

I wonder why no one has mentioned apropos Optus that passwords can be encrypted in a way that they can NEVER be decrypted and put at risk. One would have thought it would be best practice.

  • LegionSynod SynodLegion (@LegionSynod) reported

Ha ha ha ha ha ha.. Any expenses to be forwarded to optus to be then passed onto the customer to recoup losses.. It has got to make you wonder this world is becoming super inflated all of a sudden

  • macattackmel Mel (@macattackmel) reported

@Optus Medina, I’ve sent you a message - I’ve now even got more issues than just the lack of service, customer service AND the hack. Honestly what is going on with Optus other than damage control because of your own incompetence?

  • azahynes Az 🌏 (@azahynes) reported

@9NewsMelb After 3 previous major breaches, the LNP 7 months ago gave Optus an exemption from Cybersecurity Legislation. Rather than fixing security issues, Optus and the then Gov chose to ignore it.

  • dingram Dave Ingram 😷🌻🍍 (@dingram) reported

@YouAreLobbyLud And plenty of people now need new DL thanks to @optus. Do P2/N95 nose plugs exist? Border Farce are just the worst

  • bazmorganzx Baz (@bazmorganzx) reported

@Distincctt @cok295 @BrisbaneAirport They aren’t talking bout service cutting in and out except the fact that Optus leaked everyone’s info to hackers and now it’s getting released everywhere

  • mat_3rd Mathius of Gaff 🇺🇦🌻 (@mat_3rd) reported

@teyc @ProfPCDoherty Yep absolutely. There are plenty of things Optus could have done to make the data more secure. Laws as enacted in the EU imposing a massive fine for businesses which don’t keep data protected would also help.

  • sword0138 Robert Lancaster-Scown (@sword0138) reported

@Optus I am an Optus customer and can I say you have nothing to be sorry about to me. It’s a sad reality that companies need to have high security for customer details today, the criminals who hack companies are the people who should be sorry. #OptusDataBreach #Optus
