@abc730 @MRowlandMP I recently had all my info stolen and the thieves used Optus to rack up $10k+ in my name. Optus refused to do ANYTHING, forced me to deal with everything, on-sold to debt collectors - ombudsman resolved the issue. Police didn't even BOTHER filing the report. Joke of a country.

@mabster @Telstra It’s the reason I was on Optus network when I still worked in Swift Street. You couldn’t depend on the speed within a year of 4G being enabled.

Loosening privacy laws to help deal with the fallout of a massive telco hack is very much on brand for Australian legislative "cyber security" If only Optus was mandated to retain more sensitive info, then it'd be much easier to work out who was hacked

@FreeRangeEggs Your bank knows if you’re an Optus customer and they know if you’re a fraud target. But there are impediments to them helping you if Optus can’t share data.

@Optus @RunnerSA18 I haven’t been a customer of Optus for more than 3 years. What the hell are you doing still having my details on your servers. You are obviously hungry for personal data. My data in particular should have been deleted from your severs. Why are you keeping non-customer data?

@Optus How do I find out exactly which ID documents of mine were exposed by Optus. I am a former customer and I don’t recall which documents I provided to you.
