    @9NewsAUS DONT PAY! As a cyber security engineer, I would recommend optus not to pay a DIME! These things never end good. They’ll keep extorting money again and again. Its like kidnapping “public data”. Ransom never works!

    The Optus hack sorta reminds me of the PSN Hack of 2011. I brought this up because it’s a very serious issue that’s going on nationwide at the moment

    @Fastlane76 @Jeremy_Kirk The data was stolen but freely handed over. It was a very basic data request on an open API, akin to calling Optus customer support and asking ‘give me details of customer #1643378.’ Repeat 9 million times.

    @Optus Well, I received my Optus Message saying my information was compromised. But.. I run a small business and we have a number of Optus mobiles so, how do I find out who's info was compromised and what they are doing about it.. sitting on hold is not working. STEP UP OPTUS!!
