JoshO (@Joshffs72) reportedAfter signing up with the @Optus deal through flybuys on May 25 I was told there was a technical error on their side, and that they couldn't process my order until July 1? I have never had a more incompetent, pathetic and disgraceful experience.

𝑫𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒆𝒍 𝑺𝒄𝒐𝒕𝒕 𝑴𝒂𝒕𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒘𝒔 🇦🇺 (@DanielSMatthews) reported@ianclarkeAU If you have a business you need both, they never go down at the same time. This was the case with Optus and Telstra cable networks decades ago, if you had both and a firewall/router that handled either bridging or failover you were never off line. Mind you Telstra did get nasty in the early days because their billing system was lazy so you could send packets out on one service and pull down data on the other thus avoiding usage fees. 🤓

The Content Factory (@tcf_updates) reported🚨 SINGTEL CUTS CEO PAY AFTER MAJOR NETWORK OUTAGES. Singtel has cut CEO Yuen Kuan Moon’s pay after a year marked by high‑profile network failures in Singapore and Australia. The company’s annual report shows his compensation fell 16.9% to S$6.8 million for the financial year ending March 31. The reduction came even as Singtel posted stronger profits, reflecting the board’s push for accountability after outages disrupted emergency services and affected hundreds of thousands of users. The pay cut follows several serious incidents, including a 14‑hour Optus outage in Australia that hit Triple Zero emergency calls and back‑to‑back disruptions in Singapore that left about 600,000 customers offline. Regulators opened investigations, and Optus accepted all recommendations from an independent review. Singtel says it is focused on restoring trust, improving reliability, and strengthening its operations. The company remains confident about its broader outlook despite regional economic uncertainty.

Pirate Ninja (@Hailmo) reported@Teh_Jkr @Optus @Telstra is no better!! I'm paying more and experiencing more black spots and slow downloads
-
Francis McF (@FrancisMcF1O) reportedTelstra MVNOs ████████████ (higher cost) Optus MVNOs ██████░░░░░░ (mid-range) Vodafone MVNOs ████░░░░░░░░ (cheapest) Conclusion: We pay more because only one network actually works.
-
Murray (@MyNameIsMurray) reported@Starlink And while Optus and Vodafone service this area - proving how much Telstra really sucks - they both lose signal only several kilometers further out of the CBD, meaning that they also suck. These are the only three networks here. All other carriers buy access from these three.

John Harrison 🇦🇺 🦘 (@JH_Otway_Ranges) reported@FranMooMoo I use Optus 5G on my phone with 500gb of data and that feeds my computers indoors, TV etc and it is super fast, up to 350mbs. only problem is they have stuff all 5G towers and most are still 4G only, they just wont upgrade them, I'm in a good area with a good signal.

Francis McF (@FrancisMcF1O) reportedWorking in regional NSW today and only @Telstra users could make calls. Optus: no signal. Vodafone: non‑existent. 2026 and we still don’t have a shared rural network? When one telco holds all the coverage, it’s not a choice - it’s a monopoly. #WakeUpAustralia #NannyStateNSW
