@Spoonyman @tasmaniatalks it works by using any tower. Not just telstra, optus, vodaphone, etc. That's how it improves service for emergency locally. Mainly it's just a work-in-any-country solution as it's a part of the cell phone spec irrespective of provider/country.

WTF @Optus trying to report dangerous Optus wire dangling outside my house, dialled 1800440924 and clicked the option for external wires down, waited half hour and the guy said this is Fetch..he was clueless, transfers me to a new line, recording said I must wait 30 mins, yikes

@telstra so after being on the phone mostly on hold for 1:02:11 making a formal complaint I was hung up on. I still did not receive my complaint reference number. I guess you really do want me to use another telco such as @Optus or @TPG_Telecom

1/2 Optus leak customer data, then refuse to speak to customers and encourage them to go online. (Hot tip call their sales team they pick up straight away) and the only offer of compensation is fraud detection subscription which no one would need if it wasn’t for you. #Optus

@9NewsAUS @Fi_Willan Well, The Optus problem has been going on for a while. I think since April 2021. Our systems were compromised by Optus. Their systems issued a static IP address which allowed hackers to breach our systems. The optus team agreed but brushed off the issue with a apology email.

My drivers licence was exposed during the @Optus security **** up, I only found out today... I pre-emptively applied for a new licence before Optus even bothered to reach out to me... I still think all bills should be waived until the situation is resolved. They can afford it.
