@VictorDominello I certainly would not put my faith in elected officials to control rules around data privacy. If the Optus and Medibank hacks are due to leaked credentials then we need to make systems more idiot proof, but based on the past we know mother nature will just build a better idiot.

USB broadband $20 / $30. Face Value. Choose an option Optus Optus $20 Optus $30. Online, and Storefronts still have these in stock. Nerang Commodore Computing Shop relocating, we are still in business (we service computers-accessories via referrals servicemen collect repairs)

@Optus NBN A bit like Jimmy Garoppolo… Not quite bad enough to get rid of, not nearly good enough to make a difference. A triumph of mediocrity.

  • robertmbarnes Robert Barnes CAE 🇵🇬🇦🇺 (@robertmbarnes) reported

@Optus No thanks Mary. The only thing more frustrating than the performance is Optus support. I’ll stick with turning it off and then on again.

Spare a thought for people who are Optus customers, and also a customer of Medibank/Ahm, Vinomofo and any other data breached company. All your data are belong to the peoples now.

  • that_guy19_ Josh (@that_guy19_) reported

So at this point it feels like Optus and Medibank should be issued a *show cause* notice why they should be allowed to continue collecting and holding customer data

  • AdeleTweets19 Adele (@AdeleTweets19) reported

@abcnews Just read the ABC piece on identity theft. Scary. I’m a customer of both Optus and Medibank, and will say that Medibank has not handled it well at all. How is it that we’re finding out about this widespread breach from the news and not from Medibank first? Unconscionable.

  • Farmer_Dave999 David Ward (@Farmer_Dave999) reported

@stationmum101 The official word from the NSW govt about the Optus hack is that getting a licence number isn't a big deal as the card number wasn't released as well I didn't even know there was a card number as to my knowledge I've never been asked for it

  • a30aew A30AEW&C (@a30aew) reported

@NicoleMatejic They confirmed today that they believe access was afforded to ALL members' data. 😮🤬 Like who TF are these 🤡 running IT systems and actively managing business and reputational risks ? Thankfully I wasn't either an Optus or Medibank customer. 🙏

@xnnui it's too late to protect yo' ****, but not too late to vote with your wallet. and zero admins would have their password as a simple one, it's mgmt's refusal to upgrade core **** to modern security that is the primary problem. plus (in optus's case) absolute idiocy.
